What tenet of Christianity requires followers to read the 10 Commandments every day?

None that I know of, yet schools are setting aside dedicated worship spaces and catering to Islam-so what's your point?

You didn't even address the issue, which is 'should the Ten Commandments plaque not be allowed on school campus'.

Ironic that the academic level in Louisiana is so bad the kids can't even read the damn thing.

www.edweek.org...

48th out of 50...pathetic!!

Perhaps improving the kids education should take precedent over MAGA cult grandstanding.

I totally applaud this.

However, does Trump know about the commandments about observing one day in 7, prohibiting adultery, and not bearing false witness?

Trump isn’t a Christian so he probably doesn’t know the commandments.
Biden, on the other hand, says he’s a catholic so he certainly knows that the 7th commandment applies to him not molesting his daughter.

There’s zero evidence Trump was unfaithful other than the disreputable accusation of a pornographer who owes Trump over $600,000 for those lies.
Trump has denied it.

Ashley Biden wrote all about Joe Biden’s sexual deviancy with her in the shower.
It’s all there in black and white in her diary.
Pedo Joe never denied it.

He was married to Melania when this was recorded.

In all of Trump's declarations of his faith, he has not once mentioned repentance or forgiveness?

He was also asked what his favourite verse was, and he said "an eye for an eye". But Jesus actually said that Christians should instead "turn the other cheek" and forgive:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also, and if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."

But I am fairly sure that his mum was a Christian.

In every picture of Trump in a church, there seem to be numbers of Caucasian congregates wearing red MAGA hats, and there are often campaigning signs, too. It looks more like his campaign hiring out the hall than him attending a church service.

When I was younger, it was also a rule that one took off their hat in church, as a sign of respect to the Lord.

That’s not evidence of infidelity.
It’s a true statement about some women.
Sad but true.

Here’s some real evidence which you chose to ignore…

State exactly what Ashley wrote and her age in reference to any shower.

Mr. Trump's Favorite Commandment ............ The Ninth ..." Thou Shall Not Bear False Witness against Thy Neighbor "

WHAM 1180 AM radio host Bob Lonsberry asked Donald Trump if he had a favorite verse or story from the Bible that’s impacted his thinking or character:

“Well, I think many. I mean, you know, when we get into the Bible, I think many. So many,” he responded. “And some people—look, an eye for an eye, you can almost say that. That’s not a particularly nice thing. But you know, if you look at what’s happening to our country, I mean, when you see what’s going on with our country, how people are taking advantage of us, and how they scoff at us and laugh at us.”

And they laugh at our face, and they’re taking our jobs, they’re taking our money, they’re taking the health of our country,”
he continued. “And we have to be firm and have to be very strong. And we can learn a lot from the Bible, that I can tell you.”

It’s a true statement about some women.

He bragged about sexually assaulting and trying to "get there" with the woman outside the bus, that was there to greet them. He said that he took her furniture shopping, and he "moved on her like a bitch", even though he knew she was married. He asked Billy Bush for Tic-Tacs because he said that he couldn't control himself and he was going to just kiss her, "he doesn't even ask!

When you're a star, they let you do it." Except this one, who shot him down the last time. But he put a couple of Tic-Tac in him mouth anyway, even though he was married to Melania.

I’m wondering why secular humanism is still flourishing in our schools, as it was declared a religion in a court of law in 1987.
www.edweek.org...

A federal judge in Mobile, Ala., last week ordered 44 textbooks removed from the Alabama public schools because, he said, they unconstitutionally promote the “religious belief system’’ of secular humanism.

apologeticspress.org...

Humanism is a religion, and the Supreme Court defined it as such in 1961 (Torcaso v. Watkins, 1961; the word “religion” or “religious” occurs 28 times in the first Manifesto, 1933). While the initial Manifesto is specifically religious, the subsequent humanist documents are not. However, the democratic humanism of the Secular Humanist Declaration (1980), and the “planetary” humanism of Kurtz’s Humanist Manifesto 2000, do not contradict the major premises of the first Manifesto.

Biden and Pelosi both Catholic. Both believe in abortion. Biden’s priest told him back during the Obama admin that he should refrain from taking communion while actively supporting abortion.

Louisiana is forcing every classroom in every public school in its state to post a copy of the biblical law that Moses gave the Israelites, called the 10 Commandments.

is bad for the children.

Because you say so... OK got it...

LOL Tell it to the high school science teachers and the college professors who have to deal with the authoritarian challenges and questions that these mandated religious posters will surely invoke, that they will have to deal with instead of their curriculum.

Tell it to the ultra-religious who now have some of their most sacred beliefs edited, marginalized and mocked and the very definition of "GOD" casually switched to whatever empirical love affair is convenient and trending at the moment.

Jews and Muslims won't suddenly start accepting that the Christian Jesus is the same God that wrote those commandments in stone. So, the obvious gratuitous gesture won't unite Christian, Jews and Muslims under some government blessed public-school umbrella.

If they use the Egyptian 42 Ideals/Principles of Maat which came 2,000 years before, I think this is a good idea

It teaches the same morality and ethics, but it is far more comprehensive and superior list

The Egyptian version teaches you should respect both the creator, and the creation

It teaches you should respect individual beliefs such as religion ...

But the list is universal written, so it applies to everyone regardless of beliefs

Unlike the Biblical version

The Egyptian version puts emphasis on personal responsibility, rather than subservience to demands or "commandments" of any religious authority, based within one particular belief system

I would like to see if Christians agree to the older and more original Egyptian version being used

If it is honestly about the principles being taught to children, then the Christians should not object to using a far older, more comprehensive and superior list

One that their own list is likely based off. Hence Moses going to Mount Sinai (a pyramid) to get the writings on stone (hieroglyphs)

Though I do not think the suggestion would be well received by the particular Christians pushing to have such a list put in schools

The issue is, if they do disagree with the older Egyptian list being used, they would also have to accept people objecting to the Christian list being used

I would also add, that there is possibly some link between "MAAT" and "MOSES, where they refer to the same personified concept. But I am only speculating there, as I have not done any deep research into the names and likely meaning of the word being personified as a name

42 IDEALS / PRINCIPLES OF MAAT

so you think a high school teacher will be unable to explain the laws our nation bases all other laws on? I don't think all teachers are brain dead democrats, so it's entirely possible they will be able to share the historical perspective with the students. Or is this more statue removal out of fear?
