Here, this just popped up in my feed.

Public Schools Ordered to Incorporate Bibles Effective Immediately

See? So don't tell me it's just a piece of paper that nobody is being forced to read. It's just another step in the pre-meditated chipping away at our 1st Amendment rights, rights that defy the 10 Commandments.

Saw that this morning.

I personally think this God push is going to backfire. Especially on the SCOTUS.

One excellent feature about that particular argument is that those silly satanists have no standing to include their own degenerate piece of paper.

The Satanic Temple is an officially recognized church.

They have a very strong track record of winning cases of equal representation.

How are the teachers supposed to answer questions the students might have about the harmless little pieces of paper and their hypocrisy, plastered all over their school's walls? I guess Oklahoma thought of that and is getting the teachers a script! LOL I bet teachers can't wait for all the biblical curses, rapes, murders and donkey size issuances and oral sex to come up!

Their “religious” argument would be a violation of church and state.

What would the satanists secular argument be?
They don’t have one. 😆

It's comical having someone try to force God on a kid that was raised without god.

My kid went to a bible class with his girlfriend. He couldn't get out of there fast enough.

He's like: "They really believe this crap?"

How are the teachers supposed to answer questions about 200 genders, or why big sister got beat by a boy at her track meet, or how dad can all of a sudden have a baby?

Neither would Mormons, Scientologists, Christian Science or Humanists. And, by the way, Satan is a Christian construct. You can't have Christianity without Satan.

According to scripture, this world belongs to Satan, and Jesus isn't here, because this isn't his world. So, all this so called religiously imposed worship of "GOD" is really worship of Satan anyway. The 10 Commandments, the Bible, the Holy Catholic Church, the Christian Nationalist movement, it's all evil and it's all Anti-Christ.

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

Non-sequitur.
There is no law mandating a poster in every public-school classroom proclaiming that there exist 200 genders.

There are going to be kids asking questions. They're going to expect their teachers to have answers.

Why do suppose kids wouldn't know about Bible stories, like the 10 Commandments, Moses and the Israelites, that the state Department of Education feels the need to step in and teach them?

Could it be because the parents didn't want their kids to learn bible stories, and that's why they didn't send them to Sunday School or a private religious school. But, we're not about honoring parents, are we?

If it’s religious it’s a no go.
As you said before, separation of church and state.
The Ten Commandments aren’t just a religion thing.
It’s the cornerstone of American law, and that’s why it should be in schools.
None of those other religions can claim anything like that from their “scripture”.

According to these Christian Nationalists, If aliens came down and told us that Jesus was one of their missionaries, and they're here to finish the job Jesus started, and proved it with all kinds of inexplicable miracles, SCOTUS would still say people that follow their religious teachings and their version of "Jesus and Father God" wouldn't have standing either.

It's not about freedom of religion to them. It's a closed system, now. No new religions allowed. No innovative spiritual thought, no modern epiphanies, unless they confirm the Christian Nationalist's bias.

Thank you.

Yes, I've been following them for years. There is only one God -- their God.

All laws under their God.

A complete theocracy under "their" God only.

Stone v Graham was the precedent we’re talking about.
en.m.wikipedia.org...
It was a 5-4 and the secular argument did not win then.
Now I believe it has a chance.
If there are other cases of precedent about posting religious text in a classroom please share.

I'm not interested in any other random case. Especially one from over 40 years ago.
