Calgary is a team in transition. They have chosen a system focus that best fits their roster size. This is standard thinking and hard to negotiate with.

I feel they had the optimal defensive impact going when they were using a full-rink press, they just didnt know how to generate offense out of the projection, and they didnt know the 3 tactics naturally fitted to that focus that opponents had to use to neutralise them. They were shutting teams down but couldnt hit back, their coach diagosed immediatly and adjusted from a sttistical perspective as would be expected.

In my opinion they have taken a step back and should re-evaluate the adjustment, although admittedly it was an ok adjustment,it was at least recognisable and the coach stuck with it,they are in KISS mode and in stick-to-it mode right now,the coach is trying to establish consistancy so he can be most effective,or optimal.

Ver nice forechecking,n-zone and 1st zone exit transition adjustments by the Oilers coaching staff,a bit jumpy in terms of number of attempts to jiggle some life into the offense towards the end but those are excellent signs of life.

This is another in a 4 year string of consistant observations , there have been varying dgrees of success show by the last 4 coaches in Edmonton in terms of actually functionally making the team adjust,of having adequate coaching acumen, but it has NEVER been below NHL average. It isnt now.The recurring theme seems to be the initial read and reacts.

This is the same challenge all NHL coaches face.

So I ask again WHY havent the Oilers found the OPTIMAL method of making that 1st set of read and reacts which are so very critical?

Why did I see three men back in their d-zone all laterally staggered setting up for a 1st exit transition which walked into a n-zone transition supporting an upspeed asset being initiated and engaged from the first few shifts onward? Why did I see this but the Oilers coaches failed to see it at the same time. That delay is the most impactfull potentially damaging delay that can possibly hit the team between the eyes.

It doesnt take more than a shift or two to see what they are doing,so why the big long delay in the read?

I also have a bone to pick in terms of generating effective offensive tactics out of the reads that ARE made adequately.NONE of these reads are NEW anymore the NewAge Hockey Systems Intuitive Dynamic Managment philosophys and tactics have been around for 4 years basiclly and are not new,is the fact really a refusal to aknowledge this from within the Oilers managment group the real thorn in their sides?

The reality is that AS SOON as you have made an accurate READ on the opponents system focus you SHOULD immediatly and optimally ON THE NEXT SHIFT strike back terminally on them with SPECIFIC TAILORED AND PRE-STRUCTURED OFFENSE.

This is what practise is for fellas,to work on tactics.

There are only a very few systems being used in the NHL and only a few methods of neutralising these systems.

The key is to learn these systems and their strengths and weaknesses, compare them to your own system pre-game and have a que-card in your hand with a very few but significant numbers on it,from 1-3.

There are never really more than 3 main adjustments by teams system-wise in an NHL game.It is very close to a game of Xs and Os
,this isnt rocket science.

Had the team READ and recognised the system focus they were facing earlier then IF THE PRE-GAME WORK HAD BEEN DONE ADEQUATELY the instant and impactfull offense would have had a chance to step to the forefront for the team.

The Oilers were playing by feel last night they implemented their system and simply kept moving forward making tiny adjustments on-the-fly ,and it worked out for them. But it was in essence a system checkmate, not optimally what we want to see happen unless we want to re-live the LA Kings Cup run every night.

If the prper level of pre-game strategising had been done the game would have been very one-sided in the Oilers favor.Essentially in a system-checkmate individuals need to step OUT of the system play AS individuals and score Superman goals to win those tightly played games. We have superior skill so this should work in our favor from a traditional perspective,HOWEVER it just aint so ,simply because EVERY TEAM HAS AT LEAST ONE GAMEBREAKER who can become a Superman if given the green light,so in a one goal game this doesnt play to OUR strengths it plays to the less skilled OPPONENTS.We want 60 minutes of continueous evolving offense that targets specific system weaknesses in our opponent. We DO NOT want to hang around,we want to fire and forget.

We need better tacticians working pre-game to support our skill level and on-ice abilitys.

I am dumbfounded by the refusal of Oilers managment to admit they have encountered an asset that can out-read and outreact their entire coaching crew but they refuse to endorse and retain it,this is a critical letdown in a core area.A willingness to accept less than optimal resources based on vanity and designed ignorance is the biggest sign of a losing mentality, shooting one in one-selfs foot is not an OPTIMAL behaviour.

Believing that the head down arse up then circle the wagons and everyone is the enemy mentality will ALWAYS work is silly, being stubborn and learning the hard way has gone on in Edmonton for YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS.

This is a Chronic issue,not a one-off.

This crap with simply taking and taking and taking data and tactical support with the intentions of taking enough without paying for it to learn yourself is cheezy and will result in the teams fortunes not being legitimately entrenched or based on the right principals.

If you didnt figure it out on your own just how do you plan to optimise it.

There are multiple teams in the WC doing just this as we speak, and ALL of them are 100% vulnerable to the SAME tactics.Even though these teams are definitively ahead of their peers in the standings and producing much better result since the adjustments come Playoff time they are doomed. If they run ito the Mother System.

In a nutshell I have devised a way to break down entire hockey games into dynamic patterns which can be easily read and reacted to based on a set BOOK of tactics. This is the OPTIMAL method, nothing is better.

The most unique thing is that this method works in every area of life it is something that changes your entire way of thinking,it is more than just a hockey or a sports system it is a new way of seeing the world entirely.

This is the template to the Winning Formula the logical path to OPTIMAL performance.

The NewAge Hockey System and its Intuitive Dynamic Managment philosophys and concepts are MY designs and are OPTIMAL in every way.

If one is to deny this and suppress this and try to duplicate this then one simply shows their true colors.

The NHS is based on truth and integrity, optimal truth and integrity based on statistical valuations.AS SOON AS YOU STOP BEING HONEST AND INTEGRITY DRIVEN THE CONCEPTS FAIL TO ENGAGE OPTIMALLY.

I am not joking, and as I have seen many many teams dont get this concept, they can use business drivers in an excusatory manner but that is again showing a lack of integrity and honesty,if you arent asked to aknowledge source then you arent stealing anything, but THE SECOND you are aware of SOURCE or the requirement to aknowledge source you MUST DO SO.If you

If one fails to aknowledge source then their is no belief in honesty and integrity and without that there can be no manifestation of the Winning Formula.

If you steal something ,it never means the same thing to you later on.If you earn it it means the world.

Ripping something off will never bring you to the top of the heap consistantly it is a short-cut.Had Stoll et al been honest with Sutter and had Sutter been interested in the truth and source of their data,he would have followed his true colors and payed for what he had recieved, the Sutter values run deep, however he wasnt given that chance. He simply let the men make the adjustments without learning from the SOURCE himself,After the Cup run when he tried to implement the adjustments from the bench his crew didnt have enough understanding to seamlessly implement anything,so they stopped evolving and today are still using those exact adjustments from their Cup run and are still carrying faith that they will recreate that dynamic Cup run again.

Has Stoll and Sutter thanked me as I repeatedly requested I would have shown them what they needed.Instead they ignored me and catalysed the NHS data upload to their playoff opponents which itself in terms of ultimate impact catalysed the Western Conferences lightening evolution towards the NHS concepts.

Had simple thank yous and aknowledgments of source been made the Kings would have repeated and maybe even been walking into a three-peat as we speak.Their opponents would have had to wait another 1-2 years to even begin to accurately valuate how and what the Kings were doing. Now the Sutter coaching Team Canada has these NHS tactics working for him, they know what they are doing and also know where it comes from.Coincidentally the Kings are 2 additional small NHS changes away from another epic upgrade in on-ice impact.

I have been giving serious considerations to looking for fiscal and historical validation which seem to go hand in hand by seeking out some of the Russian Hockey fanatics and taking the NHS behind the Olde Red Curtain, seeing Team Canada using my concepts openly by a Sutter who darn well knows source and not ever having been properly thanked or aknowledged for my contributions has taken its toll on my patience.

Just look at the records and adjusments of ALL of the Kings playoff opponents since their Cup run, make yourself some graphs and use available resources and learn.

I DO NOT BELIEVE that EVERY SINGLE manager in the NHL follows the status qou, sooner or later one will come knocking with respect and I am beginning to feel that I may succumb to that validation and develop a NEW LOYALTY.The stark reality is that as soon as I have open NHL level validation my entire story will catch media focus and will be outed, the NewAge Hockey System has a short and very finite and impactfull history that is fully and completely documented.Every time it has been implemented it has left a clear trail of dynamic changes.

Imagine the asset the creator of the NHS and its Intuitive Dynamic Managment program would be come Playoffs ,in a hockey series the ability to read and react to the opponents habits patterns and changes thereof is CRITICAL,it is a GAMEBREAKER.

Worse yet imagine you were an Oilers manager AT ANY LEVEL and you let this asset knowingly slip through your fingers because you failed to make an accurate and complete valuation due to organisational "attitude" problems causing a terminal disconnect? That would redefine the very word DERELICT.Wouldnt it?I would suggest that there is and has historiclly only been one way for the Oilers to exit this dynamic in an honest and integrity driven manner, come clean and celebrate your discovery. There are many excusatory storylines to feed the media as to causality of the length of time it took to endorse the NHS,once I am signed to a non-disclosure agreement my side of the story becomes buried for all intents and purposes.

If a team wants to score between 4-7 goals per game over 82 games and carry the same impact through the playoffs then they need to committ to this focus 100% and even if the intentions and committment are in place the NewAge Hockey System is still the only System that can manifest this level of NHL impact consistantly against any and all opponents,so it must also be in place.

The only time a defense that lets in 3GPG is considered to be a Championship defense is if the offense is scoring 4-7 goals per game.In the NHL you can count on 2 goals against as a gimme over 60 minutes,so realisticlly one must say that the 3rd goal is the first impactfull one.Ideally you dont let an opponent impose their impact on your more than once before you adjust and shut them down,so I say that 3GPG against is a reflection of expected NHL hockey dynamics catalysing 2 goals and the opponents system impact catalysing one before we snuff them out by adjusting.

If as a Coach and roster you can re-set your expectations on a more realistic tactical template and make your pre and post game valuations become guided by such a template.

All of this re-set the levels of urgency the coaches and players and managment experience, look we are back to the URGENCY issue again arent we huh?See how the core value drivers keep re-surfacing when you keep consistant focus and direction?Remember that artificial sense of organisational urgency we diagnosed that was and is catalysing consistant and terminal disconnects, the one engaged by Katzs knowing and intentional choice of managment strategys which evolved via the trickle-down effect into a monster hobbeling the entire organisation at every level?

Well on this same note how can you evolve your managment coaches and roster into and onto the correct and concurrent timeline catalysed simply by a group accepted endorsed and actioned sense of URGENCY?You need to re-set every single level of your organisation at the same time in the same way, this is an EPIC task. You need to create the dynamic organisational impact of an entirely different core managment system from the TOP down without tangibly changing the existing system itself,it is an epic task to say the least.

I guess this is the last line of the Template I creted illustrating causality of the Oiler issues, the ball drops at Daryl Katzes feet, for not forcing K-Lowe to evolve himself and to be forced to find creative ways to solve bigger problems and challenges with adequate ownership pressure providing him with the proper sense of professional urgency, and the trickle-down effect has been fostered and has done horrible damage from an organisational standpoint.

This is where a smart man sees the big picture, and the internal tug-o-war,the Oilers managment refused to break ranks and cannibalise each other, they circled the wagons and kept out the danger AND the reinforcement, and now they have been living under a seige mentality for so long that it has affected their cumulative group decision making ability.

Homework for Upper managment reserch Masada and replace religious zealousy with percieved and actioned organisational Oiler loyalty.

You have manifested a masada dynamic and now must decide if you are willing to take the lives of your friends and your own lives through attrition or if you are willing to negotiate a way off of the mountain without giving up your belief systems.

The NHS is your ticket off the mountain,Think about it.

One look at the projected lines for the Flyers game says it all.

The underlying statistical core value primary driver that makes Dallases clock tick will never go away or in any way be diminished.I do believe that this will prove to be a terminal issue sooner or later down the road. There is an innate inability to change the base perspective to achieve optimal impacts.

Those lines spell implosion.

Yes the experience level is evident in the 2nd line, but the entire mindset is based on winning faceoffs in the o-zone which means generating them in the first place,Very poor template here.

I see disconnects on every line bar none, you couldnt have made a more polar opposite presentation to mine had you intended to be 100% contrarian to just make the point.

I am interested to see just how this type of pre-game tactical planning works out,I predict utter implosion because all I see are statistical causalitys behind the line combos, almost zero Intuitive inputs.

Hall-Nuge-Ebbs-- this line is on its own,I believe they need to let themselves be managed by Nuge 100%,let him decide when to let Hall rip into the zones and let him decide when and where Ebbs needs to target spots, let Nuge be the brain, set and adjust the speed and pace like a surgeon,he is ready,he is a tangible AND a cerebral two-way threat and is ready to manage his line like a traditional center-man,I rarely use the word traditional ,but when it comes to Sams learned Intuition and Nuges in-born Intuition they leap above the status quo and I must be accurate in valuating them.

All Dallas needs to do is manage his d-men to provide the correct 1st exit transition leaving the defensive zone,so they properly support the offense the forwards are trying to project from each line,COMMUNICATE and recognise what each line is trying to do and support it ,talk to them so when they need to make an adjustment you can give them the matching defensive exit support.

Gadzic-Gagner-Yakupov- this line will be managed by Sam who will dictate all tactics, optimally using Luke as a zone domination machine, maybe letting him try on Power Forward shoes and run it in on the wing like MPS used to do,without the defensive getback speed of course ,which Sam will need to work out,but with the same zone penetrating impact on the d-men.This is the elite communication line if it self-manages.This line can find the right spots to hit repeatedly over and over and hit you with size and scoring.KISS.It isnt easy to stop a Forward of gadzics size and intentions with or without the puck so balance your use of him,he should be an important part of your base tactics.Just remember that if he penetrates the o-zone deep that he will not be cycling back with MPSs speed and defensive awareness so make a point of adjusting for that, but still use him as that hammer you need to force the d-men to adjust. If they dont respect Lukes serious intentions of scoring off of the wing using his size speed and strength to lean his way in hard they will the second time he slams into them heading the same direction, they just dont expect us to let him run the puck in,they think they can cover him tight and nullify him,Sam will solve that with simple tactics.when Luke isnt running the puck in on the wing,NO DUMP-INS from Luke, then Yakupov can begin to work on his own zone entrys and hit them with speed and strength of another level on the other wing with Luke hitting the net front/backdoor with his big body, all Yak needs to do is bank em in off the big man or pick a spot.Sam will help Nail time his n-zone transitions to fit the final o-zone transition so they are in synch with Lukes speed and arrival where they need him. This line can use short dumpins as long as the right men are chasing the puck,Luke needs to be optimised so he cant start dumpins and be expected to chase them down, if you use short dumpins make sure he isnt the pursuit man put him where he can score if front trust him. Tell the d-men to be aware and support this lines need to work the puck into the middle of the ice coming into the o-zone,keep the d-men back and high, only bring them in if Sam asks for them on the side he needs support on.

Perron-Gordon-Hemsky- this line will punch into the o-zone with either winger catalysing a possesion zone entry looking for blood immediatly, perron off the quick shots and hemmer off the deep penetrations, this line needs to make sure they shoot high and from acute angles so they can generate lots of o-zone faceoofs where they will be a natural QUICKSTRIKE unitspecialising in shots right off the faceoff. No dumpins here, possesion entrys with fast shots ,hit and run,get back immediatly if the quickstrike doesnt work. Perron has the ability to hit the same spots with his heavy shots to generate perfect high speed rebounds for Hemmer to cash in on if they watch tape of perrons favorite entry speed and spots and they chart where his rebounds are going, make a few small djustments and optimise perrons consistantly presented shots.Same with hemmrs speed in on the wing,he can take it awfully deep but no one could seem to connect with him on finishing the plays, maybe Perron can, same thing let Hemmer get it behind the net but time the support so he doesnt have to wait there to long work off of his strengths.

Joensuu-Lander-Smyth-have them all play a slowpaced possesion game with no dump-ins either Big Joe pushes it into the zone or Smyth finesses it in,but just play at the right speed and keep possesion. This line will NOT shoot top shelf from bad angles and force themselves to chase pucks everywhere, they will hang on to the last moment and be trying to stuff it in or to wrap it around to be stuffed in,and because of this Lander will remember to hang back as a last line of defense.Lander will only go deep to chase Smyttys short dumpins from the n-zone when they pinch him high, then all Anton has to do is chase the puck down and his timing will be perfect to hit Smyth in front of the net.I think jesse should lug the puck for a game or two I like that he thinks he is an offensive dynamo, maybe he can dominate a wing entry at medium speed with sheer force,if Smytty is cleaning up the messes behind him every rush and Anton stays back protecting them and doesnt rush it that might just be something to see happening out there. The d-men need to hang back for these guys as well because when the puck comes back it will be skated fast and hard, this line will be penetrating slowly but deeply so the defense has to not get caught napping when the pushback comes.

This is an off the top of my head template simply thrown together to show how backwards tonights projected lines are from an Intuitive Dynamic Managment perspective.

I just wonder if there is any tactical thought put into making these lines by Dallas and if so how it is implemented. All I see is a reliance on experience and statistics,"experience" doesnt create dynamic advantages on the ice,and statistics lie.

All the coach has to do is run the appropriate defensive exits to match what his lines tell him they need.Thats half the normal NHL coaching workload gone if he puts his lines together optimaly using Intuititve Dynamiic Managment concepts. This measn he can put his specialty skills and most of his energy into the area where we are seeing the most breakdowns and disconnects,RIGHT?

If he keeps the lines structured how he is attempting to structure them he will continue to-relive Ralp

if Intuitive Dynamic Managment concepts are not applied to line combos Dallas will continue to re-live the same system disconnects that Tom,and Ralph fell victim to.

Hard-headed hockey people.

The 1st defensive zone exit is the defenses responsibility, after that things shift to the forwards. If a d-man has to enter the playaction transitioning the zone as a forward then a forward must seamlessly take his spot positionally and the d-man must complete the playaction as a forward covering those responsibilitys, and this may go on for a full shift but the switch back will be dictated by playaction and once they make the switch during that 1st defensive zone transition they MUST stay in charachter untill the play ends and there is a line change or a stoppage in play,if they try to switch back as soon as the d-man gets deep into the o-zone they will implode system integrity.

No one on this team knows how to properly valuate and quantify what is offense and what is defense and WHO is accountable for what and HOW those two areas are integrated during games.

A defense first mentality refuses to and cannot by proxy adapt at high NHL speeds without a great deal on maintenance and time and energy expenditure. It is labor intensive to an epic level.

Dallas would be doing well to simply be able to adjust his defense to match his forward lines ongoing and everchanging needs. If you consider it it only makes sense that the forward lines tell the coach what they need the defense to do for them, any other method is less than optimal.

I could take this all the way back around to the coming need for a stand-up defense in the NHL with its recent and epic evolution, but its getting boring and we will always come back to core value drivers.

You need the defense LESS involved with the offense but MORE committed when they are asked to become involved, they need to either be 100% in the playaction as forwards till it ends or stay out of it,and that is simply communication between the puck carrier and forward linemates,EVERYTHING catalyses from the first mans decisions,NOT system tactics, thats the achillies heel that has been hamstringing the coaches, guys are stuttering with the puck to much on the initial possesion decision, guys are trying to maintain some systemic positioning and it is taking them to long to get on task.Plays havent been broken down well enough by the coaches.

I see this mess as having a pure coaching causality. The system isnt being broken down into managable pieces for the men to work with because the coaches cannot condense it enough, they cannot create the onice impacts they want as fast as they need to see them to match their read and react speeds cerebrally during games, they SEE what they need to do as coaches but cannot consistantly manage the men to make things happen soon enough. This is why they need Intutitve Dynamic Managment implemented at its highest levels, something they have shown for DECADES they cannot accomplish as a managment group for love nor money.Well now because of my love for the team they can spend Katzes money and achieve this elite level of managment impact this amazing roster of players is capable of optimising.

BOTTOM LINE DALLAS -- you didnt bring anything new to the table the coaches before you didnt bring, and you arent finding what they were missing.

If anything you brought more defensive core values than we have had in several coaches, not system focus but core values. This is having an epic impact on how things have been evolving.I do not believe you believe this for one second. You cnnot believe how a more defensive focus can cause more losses in a hockey game, you are soon going to be considered a special needs project.Just what do you think teams have been doing to your systems? How do you explain it?When will you learn that defensive consistancy will get you eaten by the NHS shark? Old hockey thinking is gone for a few decades and the sooner you realise this the sooner you can begin learning a NewAge Hockey System way to view you old game.

I maintain that there is an offensive wizard in there fighting to get out.I KNOW you understand the things I say and I also know you are disenfranchising some epic results your team has accomplished at the NHL level on purpose, because you are afraid of your offensive side getting away on you.You can explain losses easily by referring to your defensive mindset but you can NEVER identify causality of the epic wins the same way, dont you find that a bit odd upon reflection? You ought to.

You are trying to run an NHL team from a defensive core mindset at a transitional time in NHL history, maybe the worst time ever for you to try to break into the league, all of the traditional defensive systems impacts are now essentially useless against Intuitive Dynamic Managment concepts and NHS tactics and even experienced NHL coaches are having to and are in fact adjusting now.

The more you struggle to maintain defensive consistancy the more vulnerable you become to the NewAge Hockey Systems Intuitive Dynamic Managment program. You can continue to deny this reality, its your dime.

if your defense cannot adjust to an IDM type of offense you are doomed.Consistant defenses DO NOT 'adjust" they remain consistant--what arent you seeing here man?

It is consistancy of defensive positioning and structure i am referring to NOT consistancy of impact.

You CANNOT stop an IDM offense using traditional structured defense.I had this war won 4 years ago when I began indocrinating stubborn hockey minds into a better way of seeing and playing their own bloody game, what a bunch of hard-cases man, like the most rotten spoiled little kids imaginable at times. But I wll keep my foot pressed against their figurative windpipe until the kicking stops for good, there was never a battle invloving two equal forces here, this has been a teacher/student dynamic from day one,the NHS has been teaching an Optimal sports managment program and the entire NHL has been learning a new way to manage themselves on the ice.

If you read below the surface,i designed the NHS to feed off of traditional hockey thinking core value drivers so they would WALK INTO THE FIRE WITHOUT BING ABLE TO STOP THEMSELVES.

The more you fight the tighter the noose becomes.

The more defensive you try to become the more offensive you allow the NHS to be.

Statistics WILL NOT WORK and will cause inner confusion and tactical disconnects at every turn, remember those core value drivers the NewAge Hockey System and its Intuitive Dynamic Managment program feed off of?Well statisticlly catalysed thinking is one of those core value drivers.

Dallas,I created a system that feeds off of consistantly projected defensive posturing and tried to gift it to your team, however as the system has evolved it has been seeded throughout the NHL and has demonstrated evolutionary levels of immediate success, and you my silly friend are trying like the devil to build a concrete and consistant defensive powerbase.Do you possibly see the irony.

If you are aware of this ongoing dynamic and havent made a 100% effort to reslove it I must say I am surprised and will reserve the issue of respect for another time when that question might be answered honestly.I just do not see how any coach could be misisng these obvious things. If this is a part of the suppression battle remember there has been no battle, just a learning experience for you.

Watch Giroux ,i didnt spend all that time explaining the exact spot to shoot on a tender to catch him in that transition zone where he is dropping down from reading the speed of the incoming playaction instead of the shooter. That is Claudes speciality.

Nice shot Taylor.

Rinse and repeat,if it was there once it will be there again.

That was a pathetic zone entry adjustment on the PP.

Just penetrate the zone and try to catch them in conventional transition points, that was utterly pathetic.

The sense of urgency is being lost in translation cant you feel it.

Micro-manage,change something small ASK for something small that will not detract from your overall gameplan.

Make an adjustment to get everyones attention again.

Ask then to hustle on the line changes or something else you regularly harp on,just a small detail not a gamebreaker.

Tell Jesse to take those pucks all the way to the net he is out there because of his sze not his finesse. That was a waste of an o-zone possesion.Where is the urgency to take it to the net from the big man, doesnt he know his job when he is in the o-zone?Bull it to the net dont hesitate and wind up for a slapper for gods sakes.

Everyone is working extra hard on the possesion focus, excellent now tell them to keep their sticks HEAVY and on the ice, move the feet.I see the Flyers trying to bully oir sticks up a lot, keep the stick heavy and keep closing on the net hard once you are in the zone.Keep men hitting those prime open spots at the right times to spread the d-men out.The man driving the net needs movement around the net to help him out.

Tell Sam to drive the net as well, that line is spreading the defense out perfectly,so with all that room the middle is looking soft.

Now pnetrate with this PP on at least 1/2 of your zone entry attempts,we can score 5 on 5 this way so why change it for the entire PP?

Why would you penetrate the o-zone with speed on a PP and not take it all the way to the net?Why would you pass it behind you and waste all the speed and advantages?

Why relay it back, use those penetrating zone entrys to score goals.

EVERY man entering the o-zone on the PP MUST consider pushing all the way through because his coverage will ALWAYS want to break off early to cover extra ice.

These PPs will DEFINATELY come back to haunt you in this game if you dont capitalise and focus more on the urgency level.

Just use a simple upspeed man on the PP to penetrate the o-zone and take it all the way in.KISS.

Pick a tactic to enter the zone on the PP and support it,this has not been acceptable. ALL your zone entry tactics show some promise, but do you think the two goals you scored were fluke or what, penetrate that zone and drive the net, look to pop the rebounds back to the blueline, keep that d-man really high and alone ,but drive that net on the PP on 1/2 your zone entrys and take it to the net.or use a short high flip-in and chase it down first to get behind them,THEN work it out to your high man on the blueline to run the PP.They KNOW what you are trying to do, you are getting caught because they are clogging up the high blueline area stopping you from setting up that man,you need to drive them back harder then go back to the high blueline, keep everything the same, just drive them back from the high blueline with some deep pressure a few times.Dont get sucked over to the boards either keep that pivot man in the middle alone, just make good passes back out to him,he is hanging safely back so its ok to pass up to him.

When you see their d-men cheating into our zone from the n-zone when WE have possesion in our zone so they can jack up the numbers on us SCREAM FROM THE BENCH and let your teammates know to dump it high and out or off the glass.

when they cheat they keep their d-men wide and send three men scrambling into the middle after the puck they have identified our outlet primary choice,so burn em now when they try to catch us,force them into a 200ft footrace, just put your head down in your own zone and lug the puck out hard and fast to defeat that collapse they are using when their d-men cheat up into our zone when WE have the puck. Split them down the middle when they do that, just put the head down and go hard.

They are going to open it up now so keep possesion keep the passes short and limit the turnovers.KEEP the puck.

You might want to go for it on the PK and try to push back right now.

You will not hold on to this game by being defensive.

You were NEVER going to win this game by being defensive, remind the men that.

Their forecheck is slow to engage but works extra hard on the puck pursuit. So take advanatge of that, I suggest you take 200ft sprints and shock them, just make them get into footraces.

Ring the boards all the way to the high n-zone and have a man planted there, their forecheckers are lazy and dont cut off the boards they are edging towards the middle a bit,so because they are saving energy andletting us get the puck first then trying to bust it off of us,just make a set play ringing the boards up to the high n-zone when you see them being lazy and letting us get the puck first, dont skate it every time they are looking to mug us when we do that, pop it low round the boards into a set spot.

maybe just a touch more contact in our zone,we need to remove them from the pucks because they are all green-lit,keep the sticks heavy and stay close to their bodys, dont let them get hail mary shots off and always expect them to be moving the puck soon, anticipate the pass or the shot, take the body a few degrees harder in our zone. They are cutting through a lot of hot areas, wallpaper one of them.

If you challenge them high on the blueline to stop those fast shots PLAN to carry right through them and bust it the other way,get aggressive, they are hurrying those shots and are asking for some hard pressure, they are already hurrying it for us so charge them hard and fast, make contact and drive them out of the zone trying to bust it back on them, this is easy pressure to relieve, just adjust to it.

Make more solid contact in our mid d-zone and when you challenge those men shooting from the high blueline go hard at them and in pairs to remove their pressure relief outlet E/W pass.

pressure for offense on the PK if you see anything juicy.

Ok in the defensive zone when they are pressuring hard, keep the d-men close like 15 feet apart and just make one short pass and then skate it out hard.Dont suirt it to the middle and dont ring the boards and dump it out, just one ten foot pass and then skate it righ at them and out,you are just as well off losing the puck trying to skate it out as you are losing a battle along the boards.Use your strength your speed.Work in pairs 15 feet apart.

In the o-zone and on the way to it use short simple give and goes, beat them in pairs and one man at a time, they are in man to man coverage,so work in pairs and use the give and goes at full speed. They are using a high pressure man to man so bring them all to one side if you can and isolate the other side and sneak a man behind them, thats a disadvantage of man ot man you can be drawn into overloading one side easily, get one side overloaded then flip the puck high over everyone into the far empty side of the ice and send one man in alone after it.

Two goals are scored by proxy in an NHL game,no one has won the battle of systems yet,the 3rd goal will determine that momentum.

On the PK you need your men to use their sticks to pressure the man with the puck on the outside so they cant make those crossice passes to the backdoor, they are sneaking a man into the middle to pull your coverage over and isolating a man backdoor up near the bottom of the circle, then all we have is a man kneeling in front of out tender and they have a clear shot on net.Just POINT the sticks at the PUCK and pressure them more,LEAN out at them.Use the sticks, and dont let that man pressuring the middle force you to isolate that man who is standing backdoor for them.Pressure them on the outside with the sticks and some jumps at them from time to time,we are covering the middle because of the man sneaking in anyways so dont worry about getting caught there, worry about the crossice pass to the open man all alone backdoor.

I do believe we need to skate with the puck more and force them to take pursuit penaltys, just cut the forwards loose to work in pairs with a trailer, skate it for the rest of the period work them to the bone.

Forget system tactics,as they are playing one on one close coverage,we need to work freeflow and in pairs with a trailer so we can beat them on this tight coverage.

Lets play river hockey with them, just let the men know they are free to go hard in pairs working the give and go for 200 feet if they can,and keep a trailer behind them. But take their tight coverage head to head and use pairs freewheeling into any empty ice they can find to beat them at their own game.If we dont go to conventional spots when our pairs attack them they cannot optimise their man to man coverage,it only works if we need to get to specific spots. Play river hockey if they are dumb enough to let us,come at them in twos, with freedom to do anything at all as long as they can bust the puck 200ft upice.

High speed pairs comong out of the middle, start in the middle in our zone if you can and break towards a wing as you enter their zone.Dont start from a wing,DONT LET THEM USE THE BOARDS AGAINST US AS A SIXTH MAN ANYMORE.This is a big part of their tactics.Just use pairs catalysing from the middle at high speed, keep the 3rd man trailing late. But dont give them the boards anymore.
