Curtius Rufus - Josephus - Thracymachus - Pseudo-Scylax - Thucydides - Strabo - Pseudo-Herodotus - Ephoros

These are famous historians, orators and theachers. Most of them are GREEKS!!! Find their books and original translation from relevant team who translated these books. In theese books you will find that MACEDONIANS AND GREEKS ARE 2 DIFERENT NATIONS, 2 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES, MACEDONIA IS A KINGDOM, AND THERE IS NO GREEK COUNTRY BUT ONLY SMALL CITIES!!!

2. A fact is that ancient greek culture was famous and had huge influence of people who lived there than. If you have heard about hellenisation, you know what i mean.

3. Slavs? They came to Balcans after the 6th century.
Macedonia is not the only one country that is mixed with them!!!
If Macedonians are slavs, than logicly greeks are Slavo-Turkish-Greeks!!!
But Macedonians dont have the right to express their meaning as Greeks do right?!

4. A new information: There is some independent research from canadian institute about the world nations. According to DNA prooves, they say that Slavs have never visited the Balcan. (i will try to find more info)

5. On the last world historical forum, one of the first question on that forum was: From where slavs elements into the tradition and language in India, Egypt etc... This is info from a macedonian academic who tooked a part from this world forum!!! Alexander ||| visited those countries but 300years BC and slavs come V| th century AC. Legislation to stop state-sponsored propaganda by FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), which is potentially dangerous for Greece, was introduced in the U.S. Senate today by Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME), along with Presidential candidate and Chairman of the European Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL).

More than 72 Members of Congress and climbing are sponsoring similar legislation (HR 356) in the House of Representatives.

The Resolution (S.Res. 300) points to a television report showing students in a FYROM state-run school being taught that parts of Greece, including Greek Macedonia, are rightfully parts of FYROM. The legislation also points to various recently-published textbooks which contain maps of ‘Greater Macedonia’ extending many miles into Greece and Bulgaria. The Resolution points out that FYROM propaganda, contrary to the U. N. Interim Accord, instills hostility and a rationale of irredentism in portions of the population of FYROM toward Greece and the history of Greece.

The legislation urges FYROM to adhere to the U.N. brokered Interim Agreement, which directs the parties to “promptly take effective measures to prohibit hostile activities or propaganda by state-controlled agencies and to discourage acts by private entities likely to incite violence, hatred or hostility” and review the content of textbooks, maps, and teaching aids to ensure that such tools are stating accurate information. The bill also urges FYROM to work with Greece within the U.N. framework process to achieve longstanding United States and United Nations policy goals by reaching a mutually acceptable official name for FYROM.

Up to the 1950s you were proud Bulgarians yet all of a sudden you decided to be "macedonians" when the Greek Macedonians already hold that title!
You have no right to be Macedonian! The only ancient past you can express yourself to is your Bulgarian-slavic one!
Your state has absolutely nothing to do with Macedonia, unlike the Greeks who speak the same language, have the same names, culture and customs as the ancients!
Alexander would sure turn in his grave to think that Macedonians would ever become slavic and loose their Greek heritage.

I studied history and this assumption of Slavic elements in India and Egypt is laughable!!!
...Well can’t be surprised, its coming from a slavmacedonian “academic”!

Why is it hard to believe Greece is a mostly homogenous country?? Just because your country is mixed with many nationalities doesn’t mean Greece is!

Visit Greece ey??? I LIVED IN GREECE!! MY GRANDPARENTS VILLAGE IS IN MACEDONIA and the slavmacedonian population close to the border does not even exceed 2000 (that does not grand you minority status!) and what are you trying to say Greeks have dark skin and you don’t??

I think that's valid for greek people as well. To much propaganda and brain washing. I wonder what if Macedonia comes up not to be a greek name at all

(never say never and don't be to much surprised). Is about time for you guys to open your eyes and see beyond. I've frequented a lot of greek people and is funny the way how they speculate with the word history or historical fact. Is not a chewing gum. Don't forget, the notion Ancient Greece has been created only less then two centuries ago by british scholars. Anyway absolutely no pun intended. To much hate and stupidity in threads like that to consider them worth for a debate. So I'm done with it and I wish you guys could find the real owner of the name Macedonia. How is it valid for greek people too??
Is it not a fact that ancient Macedonian insriptions are all Greek?
Isn't it not a fact that alexander spread Hellenic ideas?
Is it not a fact that you can't find a trace of their supposed "macedonian" ethnicity before 1950s?
...on what do you base your assumptions on that Greece is spreading propaganda?

You want the name dispute solved! you mentioned how the slavs do not deserve the name! ...so why make assumptions that Greeks have propaganda too while their views already coinside with international ones!

I am descended from the region of Macedonia ..my great grand uncle was a 'makedonomaxos' a Macedonian(greek) fighting for the liberation of Macedonia from the Turks and the Bulgarians who lived at the region at the time!
It just makes me angry that the same people who fought against the Macedonians(greeks) back then, who tried to grab macedonia and give it over to communism, make it part of Bulgaria are now claiming to be "macedonians"!

And about the ABECEDAR so you say that is for the minority in Greece.
Do you print for the other minorities like turks, albanians, serbs, gipsyes.
And what do you have to say about the propaganda letter.
If you are so sure that the macedonians originated from the greek people
why then you suppress their opinions. They do not protest in a violent way.
