Maybe I spoke too soon. Apparently Beshear has received an increased security detail. Doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be getting the VP pick. It could simply be due to the fact that he's doing more out-of-state speaking engagements. But it could also be an indicator he'll be Harris' running mate.

It was obvious Vance was going to be Trump's running mate when he was escorted to the RNC by a motorcade.

As I must be in MAGA land, I feel I should be able to comment on this. All people of color are NOT DEI hires. A DEI hire is someone who was hired due to DEI policies. Quota filling. The first _____ to hold this position. Sadly, DEI has diluted the hiring process by such a degree that anyone who isn't a standard white guy, now comes into question as a possible DEi hire.

So while you may be right in the thinking, there is a reason for it, and the promotion of DEI in the workplace is to blame for that. In the old days, the best person for the job, got it. But a black person, might be initially overlooked due to racism. With the laws prohibiting all that, things were moving slowly in the correct direction. But now, the script has been flipped, and white guys who might be totally qualified, are passed up for anyone who fills the DEI box so it can be checked.

I'm sure you are balls deep in all this, and likely never ran a small business, so it's all kind of just a MAGA conspiracy. But when your profit is what matters, you hire the best you can find, and you don't worry about filling quotas and checking boxes. Unless you are an idiot. (IMHO)

Huh weird, on ATS you would be hard pressed to find one person of color in any public position that has not been called a DEI hire except for the two or three of anyone in position of power on the right. Justify it however you wish, that way you can feel you're right to claim it's so.

To this day, I don't know what DEI stands for. If its just another "shiny object" that lasts for a few months and goes away, I don't want to know.
