"A couple of 3 or 4 Posidon nuclear torpedoes would almost wipe Britain of the map."

We've done this before. At 2 megatons each, no they won't.

Our Trident response, on the other hand??

Never heard of M.A.D?

That would be those physics defying nuclear torpedoes that Russia has.

Next it will be sharks with fricking lazers.

You understand Obama agreed and promised no NATO for Ukraine.

If true - and I'd like to see evidence of it - it wasn't really for Obama to decide that.
If Ukraine wanted to apply for NATO membership it would have been up to them....and NATO as an organisation would decide.

As it happened NATO told Ukraine it had no chance whatsoever of being even considered for membership for at least 25 years.
Of course all that changed the minute Putin decided to invade Ukraine.

Ukraine posed no threat whatsoever to Russia and it was decades away from NATO membership.

Their upper age limit for conscription is 60 years old. They are putting old men on the front lines as cannon fodder.

In the US military?

The average age of the military men who died in Vietnam was 22.8 years old.

Not many old people fight in combat arms. Your supply and support soldiers might have a higher age. And if your combat arms, as you grow in age and hopefully in experience, you move into command roles that are not usually manning the front lines hour by hour.

This seems to confuse many Putin fan boys who don't get that democratic states get to make their own choices.

The claim was Ukraine was lossing more men than Russia.

It’s doesn’t matter, the Ukraine can’t outlast the human cost. Russia can. It’s like play a game who has the biggest collection. Ukraine at around 35 million. Russia 144 million.

Words on a piece of paper and promises are meant to be broken. It was James Baker who made the promises broken.

Link
Washington D.C., December 12, 2017 – U.S. Secretary of State James Baker’s famous “not one inch eastward” assurance about NATO expansion in his meeting with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on February 9, 1990, was part of a cascade of assurances about Soviet security given by Western leaders to Gorbachev and other Soviet officials throughout the process of German unification in 1990 and on into 1991,

Ukraine isn’t exactly a democracy.
They are as much as a democracy as Russia is.
Let’s get real.
The Fuhrer Zelenskyy just cancelled elections.
Hard to run for office in a democracy with a gigantic coke habit too.
Did that asshat Putin cancel their elections?

How is Ukraine going to kick Russia out when they run out of troops?

They can even take back the little land they lost in 2014.
