COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2.

I can see your confusion. The virus causes the disease, it isn’t the disease itself. Hence catching the virus but avoiding the disease (you may know this as being asymptomatic)

If they weaken the immune system then diseases (think first world issues) should be on the increase from the time these systems were introduced.

Well the paper clearly suggests 4/5G communications medium is responsible for exasperating COVID-19.

Specifically, evidence presented here supports a premise that WCR and, in particular, 5G, which involves densification of 4G, may have exacerbated the COVID-19 pandemic by weakening host immunity and increasing SARS-CoV-2 virulence

The author of this thread on the other hand he clearly suggested

the authors don't make any link between 5G and a particular virus

As to COVID-19 well is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus simple as that really.

Is the paper peer-reviewed?

Or is it, as i have suggested, quasi-scientific nonsense?

The more people there are with a weakened immunity the more a virus will spread.....so is more virulent.

It's obvious the other member hasn't understood what the authors has proposed and the evidence they have provided to support their claims in the paper I linked in my opening page.

Furthermore there is massive confusion on the basic terminology as he thinks that Covid-19 is a virus and has linked the page from the WHO which says in the first paragraph: Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2.

So you understand if the distinction between the virus and the disease isn't clear or there is a lot of confusion on what is what then there is no way to appreciate what the authors of the paper are trying to say.

Your last sentence correctly summarises what the paper is trying to do.

They seem to be confusing the cause of infection as opposed to the cause of the disease and go further to make strawman arguments. One such strawman is that the authors claimed Covid-19 is cause by 5G.
