I mean we've literally had families torn apart by Q anon nonsense and people who uploaded their own videos of them fighting with the police on Jan 6 to their social media accounts, so proud of themselves for pushing the line which has led to them being arrested, losing their jobs, and some going to jail. Because they were "fighting for their President". Many of these were like the mom and dad next door, 40-60 year old suburban people.

England always amuses me. A land mass roughly the size of Florida has England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales and the Isle of Mann as all more or less separate countries throughout the history and is some 20-30 miles from France (depending on point of view) even center to center is less than 800 miles distance.

I don’t think there is a square inch of Europe that hasn’t been a part of another country as part of some war conquest at some point in time, mostly the Roman Empire. But also Germany and Norse Vikings in different periods. Oh, and the Soviet Union of course. And the EU as a technicality.

In comparison, the US has been far more stable. Even the US Civil War took place during the Shogun Era of Japan. And China has had multiple kingdoms, then one, then three over and over again.

The US is just getting that old war itch again. The GWOT wasn’t enough. The political parties have become too encompassing and the pendulum is long overdue to swing back. The people will reunite again, but the longer it goes the worse it will be.

there will be no civil war because there are simply not enough violent "warriors" capable of causing nationwide unrest. but there would certainly be violence.

actually, it can only end like this: trump flees to russia with his entire family in his jumbo, gets himself nominated as putin's opponent in the elections and surprisingly wins. a few years later, the family has to flee again, they go into hiding in saudi arabia for many years. until one day a giant robot that looks like trump rises out of the sea and lays america in ashes.

Oh boy, I made a completely separate thread on another topic and they came in droves to attack me personally, name calling, etc, because I've made them so angry in the Trump threads.

I have never seen it this bad here in 18 years. They really just want anyone who doesn't support Trump gone. So they can sit and fantasize with each other about that great America of yore, with Trump installed as a lifetime position of dear leader. If that's not cultish, I don't know what is.

What happend to being generally against bad politicians who support their own agenda? REGARDLESS of party.

Trump killed the most civilians with drone strikes, he played nice with saudis even after they killed that journalist and gave them weapons, and he canceled the annual drone strike report that lists civilian causalities.

He gave billions in tax breaks to billionaires and only hired loyalists to positions.

He also lied, as admitted on tape, to the american public regarding covid.

And this is all regardless of his aweful behavior which consisted of complimenting dictators and angry tweeting at 4a.m. consistently like a teenage girl.

The list goes on an om, but somehow he's this 6-D chess player about to arrest hillary and obama and take back the presidency..

i also think it has something cultish, almost religious. because trump is seen by many as a kind of savior or healer. no matter what he does or says, what he is accused of, who he paid hush money to, who he cheated, ruined, insulted, he remains untouched the bringer of salvation. that's a bit weird, isn't it?
