So, looks like Italy is close to voting in a far right neo Nazi Govt.

Will Italy be next on Pootin's list for de Nazification?

Are there a massive number of ethnic Russians there being oppressed and harassed for years?

Is Italy, part of Eastern and Southern Ukraine?

(concentrated thinking)

NASAMS arrived

Ukraine received NASAMS air defense systems, - President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

NASAMS in Kharkiv: commander of the KRAKEN special forces, hinted that the city is now under reliable protectionšŸ¤

I just SAW multiple NASAMS vehicles in the background of a video shot in Ukraine.

I won't say where.

It didn't look like a decoy.

I finally saw video of Ukrainians firing a 777 today that had the tell-tale Excalibur 'Poof'.

Ukraine now has Excalibur rounds.

Whatever. Complete different discussion.

Stay on topic. Italy is a different story.

As you preach telling others to stay on topic and on affairs

Looks like Russia reaching/reached quota. Sure thereā€™s protests. Like past many events

We were told they were getting them, but to my knowledge, this was the first video coming out of Ukraine that actually shows one being used in anger.

I can't tell which version from the 'poof', just that it was an Excalibur round (nothing else makes a 'poof').

The 'poof' sounds a little like a louder and deeper version of a large mortar tube, where every other kind of M777 round makes a helluva boom.

If this is true they reallo wont waste time .

The wife of a mobilized from Lipetsk said that her husband is ā€œsent to the front line with Donbassā€ after one day of training

The wife of a man mobilized from Lipetsk, Tatyana Dotsenko, told Mediazona that her 45-year-old husband, private Andrei Kozyrev, was ā€œsent to the front line with Donbassā€ after one day of training. Tatyana said that her husband received a summons at five in the morning on September 22, and by seven o'clock he went to the military registration and enlistment office. ā€œAt 10:30, two buses were assembled somewhere and taken to the Belgorod region,ā€ she added. According to the woman, "the exercises were one day", and today her husband said that they were being sent to the front line. ā€œThere were 1,000 of them, there was no medical examination,ā€ she added. Dotsenko says her husband was sent to the 237th Tank Regiment. According to her, he was called up as a grenade launcher. ā€œHe called again about half an hour ago, they were standing on the parade ground, they gave out a bulletproof vest and a helmet,ā€ she added. Mediazona is not yet aware of other reports of the mobilized being sent to the war zone. Corrected at 23:07. The news item was erroneously stated that Kozyrev's military specialty was a private, in fact, it was a rank.

Even if the guy is a reservist, one day is a joke.

Putin must really be putting on the pressure. And that means he senses his end might be enroute.

25 September Update

Summary

* Ukrainian forces likely liberated the town of Shevchenko in Donetsk Oblast.

* Ukrainian forces likely control Maliivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

* Ukrainian forces are contesting Russian positions around Karpivka, Nove, Ridkodub, and Novoserhiivka in Donetsk Oblast.

* Russian sources claim that Russian forces hit Ukraineā€™s Operational Command South headquarters in Odesa with Shahed-136 drones on September 25. Ukrainian Operational Command South reported Russian Shahed-136 drone strikes in Odesa, but not that its headquarters was a target of any of them.

* The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian contract soldiers in Zaporizhia Oblast have been informed that the terms of their contracts are no longer relevant and that they will have to continue to serve at the discretion of the military command. The General Staff also claimed that Russian authorities are telling men mobilized in Sevastopol that they will serve for the duration of the ā€special military operation,ā€ and that the Russian military is sending mobilized men directly to combat units without additional training.

More at URL above, including lengthy comments about the Russian mobilization.

One thing that summary only tangentially mentioned is that a disproportionate burden of fighting in the war will fall upon the poor Russians because the wealthy kids in the city have connections and can bribe officials to not be swept up in the conscription dragnet.

Suppose such incidents shift to a coordinated basis, a terror campaign akin to those employed by the North Vietnamese against South Vietnam or the Taliban against Afghanistan's past government would occur. Fear and the threat of death are potent tools to operate against the people assisting Putin's act of mass homicide.

a reply to: F2d5thCavv2

If Putin's regime is still in power, the next step they borrow out of the Nazi playbook is to deploy minors to the front lines. However, supply issues might deprive them of the modern-day equivalents of the anti-tank weapons possessed by their German counterparts in 1945.

I would guess they still have old RPG-7s (maybe even -2s) still in stock.

Not of that much use against an MBT, but they could rip open an IFV or APC.

That, however, requires men of high courage. The guys who fire those weapons often don't live long thereafter.

I recall in the Cold War the U.S. forces considered the 'Dragon' ATGM a suicide weapon because of its relatively short range and the notable 'signature' it made when fired. In the old days, one steered an ATGM from its launcher and one's location was thereby revealed to enemy forces.
