The real pain hasn't started yet they have been using reserves to prop up the ruble against the dollar. The problem is they are running out of capital to continue and wait for the huge crash that is inevitable at this point. Putin has literally destroyed his country with his plans.

Why?

Shouldn't you be supporting de-Nazifying Russia?

I think we should start in Ukraine with some cancel culture actions, we can start with street naming and the statues and monuments or anything remotely associated with the Ukraine and their ties and support of Nazism during WW2 and even more recent.

There are two full wiki pages full of listings of said places and institutions in Ukraine, even the EU has a founding father who was aligned and fought for Nazi Germany, I am very shocked the EU hasn't been canceled for this fact.

Maybe these Ukrainians have never heard the term cancel culture yet? we should introduce them...

When it comes to canceling Globalism and Left-Wing Nazi ideologies I'm all for it, it works both ways and with the Right-Wing on the rise in Europe I think we will be seeing it play to the conservatives advantage too.

Sorry but I view everything through a very simple lens,a left-right paradigm...

I take no side in this conflict but I do view all liberal, progressive, workers, laborer, socialist and "left-parties" as opposite of my worldview because I am not a globalist or a unionist.

Things are very simple here in USA, we have a Left party called Democrats and a Right party called Republicans... I am a Republican.

26 September Update

Key Takeaways

* The Kremlin is attempting to message its way out of the reality of major problems in the execution of its “partial mobilization,” but its narratives are unlikely to placate Russians who can perceive the real mistakes all around them.

* The Kremlin’s efforts to calm the Russian population are struggling so far, as protests occurred in at least 35 settlements on September 25 and at least 10 settlements on September 26.

* The Kremlin’s planned annexation of occupied Ukraine may take place before or shortly after October 1, the start of Russia’s normal fall conscription cycle, to enable the forced conscription of Ukrainian civilians to fight against Ukraine.

* Ukrainian forces continued to make advances north of Lyman and on the eastern bank of the Oskil River.

* Ukrainian forces continued to target Russian ground lines of communication (GLOCs) as part of the southern counter-offensive interdiction campaign.

* Russian forces continued conducting offensive operations around Bakhmut and west of Donetsk City.

* Russian forces continued to use Iranian-made drones to strike Ukrainian forces and cities in southern Ukraine.

* The Kremlin may be considering formally closing its borders or more formally restricting the movement of fighting-age men within the country to better implement partial mobilization.

* Russian occupation authorities began to announce that the results of their sham annexation referenda, citing flagrantly falsified turnout numbers.

* Unconfirmed reports suggest Ukrainian forces may have destroyed a Russian drone control and training center that directed drone attacks against Ukraine, possibly killing Iranian trainers.

Today's Mercado stream included a few seconds of the Kraken Brigade using at least 2 Bushmasters (along with a wide variety of other equipment) in the 'Kharkiv' region (I suspect just north of Lyman).

ETA - He had a 2nd (longer) video of Kraken and Bushmasters in Baliklilya about a month ago.

It looked like this one showed a lot more Bushmasters, but it never showed more than 2 at a time on one screen so can't be certain.

Brief summary of war so far, by phases--

1 - Russian offensive. Large areas of eastern Ukraine seized by Russia, but the attempt to seize Hostomel airport failed and logistics failures (?) resulted in the infamous 40 kilometer stalled mechanized column. Ukrainian resistance forced the Russian state to realize they had a conventional war to fight. Most floating assets of the Ukrainian navy were lost.

2 - Positional warfare. Ukraine lost several cities in grinding urban warfare and artillery duels. At the end of this phase, new weapons allowed Ukraine to target Russian munitions dumps, headquarters, and airfields. In this phase, Russian air strikes dwindled in numbers and Russia launched many of its available surface to surface missiles. Russia also lost its Black Sea Fleet flagship and eventually had to withdraw from Snake Island.

3 - Ukrainian counter-offensive. Russia was duped into believing the "big push" would come at Kherson, but the Ukrainians struck SE of Kharkiv, driving to the Oskil River. This action severely disrupted Russian logistics in that area as well as putting the Russian troops to rout. Russian forces lost much equipment while fleeing. Although the Ukrainians have bridgeheads over the Oskil River, they are apparently consolidating their gains at this point.

4 - (current) Russian state is forced to declare mobilization and abandon its claim that actions in Ukraine are only an "operation". Besides pressure exerted by Ukrainian forces, conflicts have flared up along Russia's southern borders and there is likely a perceived need to deploy more troops there to ward off a larger war. Autumn has arrived and Rasputitsa will again limit off-road mobility. Russia previously used this in the spring to their advantage with massed artillery fires, but this time the Ukrainians have more and longer ranged artillery. How the Russian artillery losses of the previous two to three months impact the ability of the Russian army to conduct sustained mass bombardments is an open question.

Comments / Additions ?

Cheers
