Russia is using WW2 vintage howitzers ...

WW2 vintage D-1 152mm is seen deployed to mickey mouse "republics" front line units. Likely due losses and ammunition shortage.

D-1 howitzer M1943 wikipedia

Produced 1943–1949

Ukraine has hit so many ammo depots recents Months with himars, so maybe they have shortage of the newer munitions, and that`s why have to start using these older ?

New photo from Kerch bridge show damage to intact span clearer .

Newly released images of the damage at the Kerch bridge show the damage to the intact span clearer than ever. Obvious blast damage from an explosion on top of the collapsed road deck. The intact span will also need to be replaced.

I don't see any heavy traffic moving across the intact span safely before this is repaired. The entire road bridge will be out of commission for a while.

It's pretty clear but I have to say I still dont understand how the night footage can show the flash while the truck is still seen driving with no effect. Some kind of frame prediction/blending in the video compression?

Putin caused $100 billion a year in lost gas revenue .

Vladimir Putin's 'gas blackmail' is failing as an LNG revolution allows Europe to end its dependence on Russia, says Yale professor

Having undermined his country's reputation as a reliable energy supplier, which the Soviet Union maintained even at the height of the cold war, Putin has very little existing export capacity and faces difficulties in building more given icy conditions and the challenges of Arctic shipping. The single pipeline connecting Russia to China carries 10% of the capacity of Russia's European pipeline network, and China is not rushing to build any new ones. So the only losers from this gas blackmail are Putin and his enablers," he concluded.

Big problem with those is a range of only 12 kilometers. They can be easily subjected to counterbattery fire by modern 155-mm pieces.

I am not sure either what really happened, the white flash did start before anything happened to that truck.

Some opinions have also speculated precision missile strike, but i really dont know.

I dont know enough to know can it be video related issue, that`s also one possibility it is .

Biden in his latest interview (CNN) says he would meet with Putin to talk about Britany Griner, but NOT to talk about Ukraine.

As the world stands close to the brink of the WW3,lets get our priorities right.
For petes sake Joe.

I think Putin was simply taking advantage of the effect covid had on Western economies.

Supply chains were disrupted, western economies were lagging, rising inflation from all of the Government spending. What better time to add to the chaos.

Anybody see the x-ray image of the truck alleged by Russia to be the bridge bomb?
This guy made a good point with a comparison of the x-ray and regular cctv images-

FSB published a video of an "examination of the truck" and its "X-ray", which allegedly shows explosives.
Where on the "x-ray" another axle with wheels and a frame disappeared, the FSB does not specify

twitter.com...

Rookie mistake FSB.
Embarassing.

According to Russian-appointed head of Crimea, waiting at the ferry crossing in Crimea takes about 3-4 days. And there are about 900 trucks in line at the moment.
