An interesting briefing that also talks about Russia deploying T-62's. The video is from Jun 1, 2022 so his overview of what the US is sending is behind the reversal of Biden to supply the advanced long range artillery.

Russia is not going to "Retake Ukraine" . They are going to Retake Everything East of the River . After that , Military Operations should be Deescalated .

Provided Ukraine accepts that, which is doubtful. Especially considering Russias manpower issues. Russia is now trying to use their prison population to bolster numbers in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has been consistent from the start - They will not "trade land for peace". His stated goal is to remove all Russian forces from all of Ukraine (E. Ukraine, the south and crimea). Also Russia has been warned numerous times, that even if Russia were to take the country, it would quickly devolve into guerilla / partisan warfare. When are already seeing this in Kherson. The population their has been a pain in the ass to the Russian occupiers.

As for troop totals - any number posted is going to be rejected. The numbers I have seen for Russia is they need 600k more troops, on top of whats already in Ukraine, to achieve its goals. However that number doesnt take into account the fact Ukraine is fully mobilizing, something Putin can't do. Hence the reason Putin is trying to involve his allies (europe, asia, middle east) while also using prisoners from Russias system.

The numbers I have seen for Ukraine was 250k - 800k via conscription and Ukrainians volunteering. Add foreign fighters to the mix...
