putin is to undergo surgery..perhaps the doctor will "accidentally" lose him on the table?
I'm sure the surgeon's family will be being very carefully looked after by putin loyalists during any surgery to prevent such "accidents."

I've been watching the use of drones in this war. More effective than I had imagined.
The Ukrainians sunk a pair of Russian patrol boats off Snake Island the other day using a drone. Not sure what it mounted for armament, but both boats got hit with something big. Then, the drone used to distract the Moskva ...
The loitering munitions and other drones that strike ground targets are proving effective not only on the front lines, but behind enemy lines as well. As well as being "eyes in the sky" (but not being a substitute for real reconnaissance as the Russians continue to fail to appreciate).
I sense a big industry push to come will be drone suppression technology of various kinds.
Cheers
Key Takeaways
* Russian forces did not conduct any confirmed ground attacks along any axes of advance and instead shelled Ukrainian positions on the frontlines.
* The April 30 Ukrainian artillery strike on Russian command headquarters near Izyum likely disrupted Russian operations on the Izyum axis and may hinder Russian offensives from Izyum for the next few days.
* Russian forces on the Southern Axis continued to regroup and reconnoiter likely in preparation for ground assaults in the direction of Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhia.
Russian troops in the occupied city of Melitopol have stolen all the equipment from a farm equipment dealership and shipped it to Chechnya, according to a Ukrainian businessman in the area. But after a journey of more than 1100km, the thieves were unable to use any of the equipment — because it had been locked remotely

Russians plunder $5 million of farm vehicles from Ukraine — to find they've been remotely disabled
Russians would nick anything that wasn't screwed down.

Let’s hope that all of those untracked switchblades, that can fit in one’s backpack stays there. Don’t drone me man!
Dmitry Grozoubinski, an expert on trade and diplomacy, said Russia faced an almost impossible task to secure its key infrastructure from future attacks.
He wrote: “Don’t envy Russian policy-makers trying to deal with this.
Consider what it would be like to try to protect Russian infrastructure targets from highly motivated creative operators that look like Russians, speak Russian, and in many cases probably have Russian passports.
Especially as almost anything can be a target.."

* - US warns China it will be subject to sanctions if it would send weapons to Russia
Interesting.
Ill keep an eye on that tidbit. Source is a tweet, nothing else.
Did a cursory search trying to find some meat but nothing yet.

One notion mentioned in the press is that the Chechen leader may use Russia's difficulties as an opportunity to set up some kind of emirate in the Caucasus region. Putin would be stupid to trust that man.

Yep, thats as far as I could track it too.
"We are communicating directly, privately to Beijing, that there will absolutely be consequences for large-scale sanctions evasion efforts or support to Russia to backfill them," he said.
"We will not allow that to go forward and allow there to be a lifeline to Russia from these economic sanctions from any country, anywhere in the world."
