Russian drone ‘shot down after flying into NATO airspace’

A Russian drone breached Nato airspace after flying into Poland before being shot down in Ukrainian territory, Ukraine's airforce have said.

The unmanned aircraft is said to have been circling the Ukrainian city of Yavoriv to assess the damage caused by a Russian strike on the Yavoriv military base near Lviv.

An attack over the weekend killed at least 35 people and injured at least 134, authorities said.

Yavoriv is located just 15 miles from the Polish border, but was targeted with more than 30 cruise missiles on Sunday.

Might be easier to described what HAS worked as expected.

Russian ground based vehicles of all types are defenseless against Javelins, including all that new active protection gear that Russia was so proud of.

Russian air force has been unable to knock out Ukraine's air defenses and appear to have no equivalent to our 'wild weasel' capability.

Russian jets, even their latest and greatest are vulnerable to Stinger & NLAW at low altitude, which means that they have no chance at all against f35 or f22 at any altitude.

Russian helicopters are mostly grounded due to large numbers of Stingers & NLAWS that are intelligent enough to ignore flares, which was apparantly the only defensive system that designers thought would be necessary.

Russian secure communication gear has been mostly inoperable since day 2 of the war.

The Russian navy is losing ships to relatively small calibur shore artillery, keeping amphibs away from shore for almost a month.



But russia does appear to be fairly good at air launching small barrages of cruise missiles from Russian airspace, with much better targeting than expected, including their new hypersonic toy.

So I guess it isn't all bad for Russia.

Well 10 million Ukranians have been displaced according to recent reports. And you don’t displace that many people in two weeks by riding into battle with water pistols and slingshots.

Ukraine is the one saying Cities have been levelled. And from history, Soviet made weapons have always worked extremely well, but thats for another thread.
