US refused the Polish jets, saying delivery was "untenable". They still seem to be working on a way for Poland to get them to Ukraine, including replacing Polish planes given with F-16's. One problem is the security gap this risks while the Poles wait for the F-16s.

But my question in all this is the US has been quite vocal and in the open about all the arms and supplies it's giving to Ukraine right now. So why not handle the planes too, escort them to the Ukrainian border and go back to Germany? Why does the magic red line get drawn at planes, and not stingers/LAWS? They take out Russian planes too, and in effect contest the airspace.

I thought only one variant of Mig-29, a soviet variant, could be equipped with a singular nuclear bomb...

Maybe, there are fools in the Biden admin who are concerned that such a move provokes Putin into western Europe.

An excellent question: The Biden admin isn't willing to work with Congress to cut the red tape associated with the proposed deal. Also, supplying missile systems to Ukraine is a sign of solidarity, but not the commitment to provide the logistical support and training required to hold the Russians at bay.

So are you telling me the government is wasting my taxpayer dollars knowing this is futile... AGAIN?

My point is, this is quickly coming down to- it's either all in or nothing. Putin is holding all the cards with the vast array of tactical nukes he has invested in. He is clearly not going to back down. Although, we can reference the Cuban missile crisis a bit on this. When they realized Kennedy was dead serious and risked it all calling their bluff, they pulled out. Is that what it's going to take this time? And is this the same Russia that we can even go there? That was in our waters... this is on their back door. This is unfortunately gonna be Putin gets what he wants, or there will be hell to pay. And a lot of people are going to die either way.

Hoping for some kind of war of attrition by proxy is only going to last so long before Putin nukes Ukranian military in cities and ends it. In the meantime, the MIC gets richer and our costs of living skyrocket. So save us the money, Biden. I love how government schools teach us to be good stewards of our money, stay out of debt, blah blah blah. And they are the worst on the planet in exemplifying it. The WORST, bar none.

It’s becoming clearer.

Putins is going to accomplish the mission in their victory one way or another.

The fallout afterwards , is not about Russia. But at others parts around the world.

That's not quite how it happened though. Kennedy didn't "risk it all", in fact he was very measured in his responses by not risking and instead instituting a blockade under the guise of a "quarantine" while using a back channel to allow the USSR an exit ramp through Turkey.

As far as calling any bluffs, it was only Adlai Stevenson who called any types of bluffs on the soviets by proving they had lied about the missles there, lest we forget they were claiming that there weren't any.
