So if Poland equips Ukraine with planes, then Putin will have to be true to his word and declare war on Poland. Since the States enabled this, we are getting close to a place of no return. This is predictable as when all else fails they take you to war. The prize will be lots of gold in the vaults of Russia, a land of limitless resources, and much-untapped wealth. It will end any thoughts of economic depression. The only problem is it will probably end everything.

I mostly agree, but zero russian supporting countries would get involved.
They just saw first hand that everything we've been saying about the decrepit russian military for 20+ years was not only correct, but significantly understated.
In the unlikely event you described, it would be U.S. vs. russia head to head, with a heavy dose of NATO, and putin KNOWS he has zero chance of any part of russia surviving that.
Zero.

I suspect they may have decided to do it behind the scenes, but are not making it public in case of escalation.
Fair enough.
I was thinking the same thing. All this convo train about supplying and then instant denial. They know everybody is looking at them now.
We'll wait and see, I guess.
our government is dumb, but not THAT dumb.
i'm worried about something else. they've clearly pointed out how our jets look like.
ukrainians may grab some paint, add some white and red checkerboard to their planes, then pretend those are polish to drag us into a war - and whole NATO with us. i only hope russia won't fall for such cheap tricks, because ukraine sure as hell isn't above it.
you think russians are going to confuse old russian planes for an f35?
Because of a paint job?
Ukraine will receive old russian planes, not American made planes.
Was this sarcasm?
A paint job?

Moscow is interested in Syrians who have experience with urban combat in hopes they can help Russian forces take Kyiv, Ukraine's capital and largest city, the officials said.
It was not clear how many Syrian fighters had been recruited or if any had already been deployed to Ukraine, though one official told The Journal some were already in Russia preparing.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on The Journal report.
Russia has been operating in Syria since 2015, when it launched a military intervention to help the Syrian government fight against rebels in the ongoing civil war.
Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron blamed Kyiv for failed civilian evacuations from the key Ukrainian port city of Mariupol which is surrounded by Russian troops, the Kremlin said Sunday.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken shared on Sunday that a "green light" has been given to NATO members wanting to send fighter jets to Ukraine in an effort to support the nation during Russia's invasion.
Blinken shared the news while speaking on CBS News' "Face the Nation." He said that the okay had been given when asked about whether or not Poland could send fighter planes to Ukraine.
"In fact, we're talking with our Polish friends right now about what we might be able to do to backfill their needs if, in fact, they choose to provide these fighter jets to the Ukrainians," Blinken said.
The explosives tied under the belly of the last bridge standing between advancing Russian soldiers and Kyiv sadden Ukrainian volunteer forces sergeant "Casper".
His fellow commanders have blown up all the other bridges on the western flank of the Ukrainian capital in a desperate bid to slow the Russian tanks.
The Government will urgently pass a sanctions law that could freeze Russian assets and close the country’s airspace and waters to Russian aircraft and ships, significantly ratcheting up New Zealand’s response to the invasion of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, in announcing the move on Monday afternoon, said New Zealand had to act outside the United Nations (UN) sanctions regime, previously favoured by the Government, as Russia had vetoed a resolution condemning its attack in the UN Security Council.

Yeh and when you actually stood up and declared NZ a Nuclear Free Country, it was only Russia that would trade with you. They battered the dollar, then tried another tack and bought you. So whatever they do it's what they have been told to do.
