On the FAB-500.

The FAB-500 is a Soviet-designed 500-kilogram (1,100 lb) general purpose air-dropped bomb with a high-explosive warhead, primarily used by the Russian Air Force, former Soviet republics and customer countries. The original M-54 model was rolled out in 1954, shaped for internal carriage by heavy bombers, a low-drag M-62 version in 1962 was intended for fighter bomber external hardpoint carriage. The bomb is unguided, features a single nose fuse, and is compatible with most models of (ex-)Soviet (and current Russian) aircraft.

Bolded part goes back to my guess that most of the air delivered ordnance used by Russia is not "smart".

BTW, those are kill radii. Damage effects and wounding effects extend a lot farther than the figures indicate.

I was watching a video discussing the issues that the Russian airforce is having in Ukraine. The unguided bombs was a key part in that discussion. While Russia has some guided munitions its is not a lot and only the cream of the crop combat pilots are trained on how to use them.

With that being said I dont know the videos guys background nor experience so take it with a grain of sand. However its not the first time I have heard the info about guided munitions and Russia.

There is pretty convincing footage from multiple angles and at various times, of either what appears to be a SU-30 or SU-34 being downed near Chernihiv. The footage shows the aircraft spiraling out of control, the chutes of the two pilots that ejected, their helmets with callsigns, the wreckage of the aircraft, and the demise of the pilots. It's pretty grisly if you dig more into it so be warned as one of the pilots did not survive and the other was captured and is now a POW.

These pilots have been accused of taking part in the bombing of civilian areas.

Once again this is all speculative.

Putin keeps the new stuff near Moscow. It prevents possible attempts to take over his position and unseat him. Knowing his est troops are guarding him makes it easy for him to sleep at night.

Zelensky had a zoom meeting with U.S. senators this morning, specifically asked not to share anything about it for security reasons and Senators Rubio and Danes Tweeted it out anyway. Smh.

Putin is worried about the sanctions it's almost like he didn't plan for them. The Russians also did something stupid they set aside money to help with sanctions but left billions in western banks that now froze those accounts.

He just had a meeting requesting the removal of sanctions because he has no hostile intent towards Ukraine, apparently, troops invading their country are not hostile to this demented fool.

“There are no bad intentions towards our neighbours,” he said at a government meeting broadcast this morning.

“I would also advise them not to escalate the situation, not to introduce any restrictions. We fulfil all our obligations and will continue to fulfil them.”

He added, “We do not see any need here to aggravate or worsen our relations. And all our actions, if they arise, they always arise exclusively in response to some unfriendly actions, actions against the Russian Federation.”
