Not saying the reports are accurate or not....but there have been reports of invading soldiers raping civilians in probably every single conflict in history, certainly in my life time.

And I'm not saying its understandable or excusable either - anyone found to have committed such crimes should be lifed off at best - just that its another sad and horrific by product of war.

After the Russian Red Army captured East Berlin, during WWII, they were notorious for raping young German women and boys.

I think many of them were military prisoners, but I'm not a fan of that move either way.

I do understand it though, russia just invaded their country, we'd probably do the same.

No but it does make it sport for some very nefarious dangerous individuals.

Anybody caught doing such deserves to be fragged by their own troops.

War is hell, but if releasing 3rd rate troops that rape for sport is Putin's game.

I don't imagine its apt to have the desired effect, point of fact quite the opposite.

But correct, this unfortunate aspect of human nature has a very long history or rearing it's head in war zones.

I've always assumed it was pure uncontrolled rage and lack of discipline, but no first hand knowledge on this topic.

These things are very rare in a disciplined force like ours, rage or not.
