Yep. It will take some time to get the logistics in good order. Hopefully, the spring rains come soon. Already sounds like the ops north of the coast are more or less roadbound because of mud.

Cheers

Yes, I saw the pictures. Heavy machinery meats mud. Was it an ambush tactic to go through the fields or they just can't find the road anymore because Ukrainians removed all the road signs.

Being kept on the roads means the front of any attack is very narrow and more easily defeated.

They can try to go through the mud, but a vehicle has to have good flotation on mud to not get bogged down.

I saw tanks get bogged down in the Cold War. Real mess to extract them.

Cheers

The menacing 40-mile-long Russian military vehicle convoy bearing down on Kyiv appears to have stalled

Im beginning to suspect the Russian commanders are working against Putin. Sorry, boss out of gas won't be able to make it there. Its either that or the Russian army is just a shell of its former self.

Something is up with that convoy. It's a sitting target begging to get droned; yet, nothing.

I've seen speculation regarding logistics issues like fuel shortage and system failures because routine maintenance wasn't done when the gear was stored in peacetime.

They might be getting shot at enough to rattle their confidence. Especially not fun for trucks hauling petroleum.

Mud apparently a problem north of the coast.

The death of the general may be an indicator that Putin is really pushing the Russian army to finish off the Ukrainians, resulting in senior officers going far forward, trying to motivate the troops. Or, he may have just had a traffic accident. That happens in war as well.

Cheers

They could be Chechen. To be fare, can't hear the demand of surrendering through all those swearwords of Ukrainians. It looks like Russian folk were going for their car to escape the angry Ukrainian mob

Civilians pushing around people with grenades in their hands. Some steel balls they have.

President Zelensky says first wave of foreign fighters has arrived to assist Ukraine

The first foreign fighters have arrived in Ukraine to help defend the country against the Russian invasion, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Ukraine is already greeting foreign volunteers. (The) first 16,000 are already on their way to protect freedom and life for us, and for all,” he said in a video address posted on Facebook Thursday.

16,000 is a good start...

Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe and is highly advanced.

It took the Yanks and Brits 30 days to take Baghdad from a bunch of third world Arabs in Gulf War 2.

Russia is one week into the invasion in comparison to the above.

Moldova Next Target? Belarus President's Battle Map Pic Raises Questions

Amid the war in Ukraine, a video of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is being talked about online, which appears to show planned Russian invasion of Moldova. The video is from his address to the country's security council on Tuesday and was posted online by the regime.
Lukashenko is a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the video, he is seen standing in front of a map, which shows Ukraine divided into four sections. According to New York Post, Lukashenko appeared to be talking about a planned attack from southern Ukraine into Moldova.

Moldova is a former Soviet republic that borders Ukraine and Romania.

The video further showed lines of attack, which has already been carried out by Russia. The Hill reported that the map showed troop movement plans and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, as well as targets in Moldova's breakaway region of Transnistria.

It also said that some of the attacks are yet to take place, including an incursion into Moldova from the port city of Odessa.

...

Who knows at this point? It could have been deliberate to throw people off from the real plan, or actually a gaffe.

Because Ukranians don't want to offensively kill Russians who are simply following orders (and may not actually be in reality), they want to be seen as having a defensive posture only. It's a smart move.

No, it sure isnt.

Id then point to a cultural problem. Folks who dont read, follow up, critical think, etc.

Also, i find it abhorrent that media can print lies ( known or unknown) and arent aomehow burdened with the responsibility of correcting them.

Contrary, perhaps the rights enahrined in the constitution are no longer valued by many Americans. Well, aside from picking and choosing based on political expedience.

That's the problem, especially when we have the ability to focus on truth - as it seems most media reporting with respect to Ukraine is accurate.

But that's the rub right? Can't have a free press, and freedom of speech, without having the freedom to lie baked into it.
