Ukrainian president says he doesn't expect much from Monday's meeting but "let them try"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a brief televised statement that he doesn’t expect much from a meeting between Ukrainian and Russian delegations on Monday.

“I will say frankly, as always: I do not really believe in the result of this meeting, but let them try. So that no citizen of Ukraine would have any doubt that I, as president, did not try to stop the war when there was even a small chance,” Zelensky said.
“And while our guys are there, the president is here, the chief of staff is here, the prime minister is here, the army is here, the commander-in-chief is here. We will all defend our state and our borders,” he added.

Earlier Sunday, Ukraine’s Deputy Interior Minister Evgeny Yenin said talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations will take place Monday morning local time.

Initially, Ukraine wanted to hold these talks in Jerusalem, but that must have been ruled out.

It’s hardly convenient. They could all whip there phones out and film everything , endanger theirs and others lives and allow enemy forces access to some great intel all while you watch and snaffle popcorn . Or they could do as they are told for the security of the nation but have to suffer the full wrath of a conspiracy theorist .


The fact women and youngsters are picking up arms to defend their homeland should give you an indication of how committed they are and which option they chose

I worked at a Pet Store once as a young adult.... pretty rewarding job with lots of nice people and a good atmosphere. I wouldnt be so down on it. I wouldnt mind my kids working at one when they get old enough. I have great expectations for them in the long run. Hoping for them to become Ice Cream truck drivers someday.

These guys have no clue what they have signed up for. Jesus, Putin is pure evil.
