He can do whatever he wants. It's his right just like yours to fly the flag upside down. I amazes me how people get upset because someone else doesn't believe what you do. Just deal with it.
Many of you seem to be under the impression that I'm extremely hurt/upset/sad about Car Dude's decision, or that I'm still dying to buy a car off the guy.
Let me clear that up for you.
I've never encountered anything like that outside of the internet and I was genuinely confused and totally caught off guard by his reaction, and not sad/butthurt/upset/distraught/angry/still wanting to buy a car from him, as many of you are assuming.
Again with the assumptions. You know what they say about assuming, right?

The flag doesn't represent the people anymore. It used to stand for something... not anymore. You cant deny the flag has been used in wars of aggression, used to annex and rob smaller countries of their sovereignty, (financial and otherwise) Used to trump that 'freedom' word but at night spies on every single American and American allies overseas. Openly lies to us everyday, and when confronted with a lie, it denies that it has lied about lying. could go on and on...
This flag has been used in so many nasty ways, there is nothing meaningful about it anymore. When people do see it, they don't see the American people, they see what the American people have allowed their government to do... and keep doing.

Unless you are in immediete danger in your home, ie: about to freeze to death, starving, or suffering life threatening injury that you require outside assistance for, (hint: affordable healthcare doesnt qualify as immediete danger) then flying the flag this way is disrespectful, and frankly, stupid.
Teams continue to play sports, people go to work and school, and quite honestly I think anyone who flys this flag should be arrested for falsely declaring an emergency, and if you really think we are in a day to day emergency, you should AT LEAST be put on a mental health risk, and not permitted to purchase firearms, explosives, or maybe even bleach for that matter.
I wouldn't do business with you either.

I knew full well that I would receive some back lash from some when I posted this thread. It was expected. And honestly? I don't care if anyone thinks I'm "crazy" with my "crazy flag" waving.
Remember, that I didn't hang the flag myself or put up the sign. While in general, I agree with the premise and don't mind the sentiment, it wasn't my doing personally. My sign would probably say something very different, and I may put up my own. We talked last night and plan to put up a different sign every couple of weeks.
This thread has turned into posts about Obama, Bush and the Tea Party when that is NOT what the original topic was. The topic was the care salesman's reneging of a previously made deal because of his differing political ideology.
Please stay on topic or find another thread to derail.

Here's a recent example of someone having her property seized for no good reason. I'll bet she is in distress, so how long will it be until more governmental bodies follow this example.
Seattle seizes elderly woman's parking lot to turn it into -- a parking lot
The City Council voted Monday to use its power of eminent domain to acquire the lot owned by Spokane resident Myrtle Woldson, who has repeatedly turned down offers to purchase the property
Myrtle Woldson
[She] refuses to lease space to the city while it tries to make up for lost parking during the tunnel dig. So instead, the city council will attempt to condemn the property and take it over

This is not the federal government, this is the local government that the right loves so well. Holy bat crap insanity, when will people realize we have multiple levels of government in this country. Everything that is screwed up in our lives is not the fault of the federal government.
