I don't think there are bad guys on the FL.
They try to reason from a higher level, having advanced tools for this.
We have a common goal - a potential enemy, an external threat.
For us, the nearest neighbor my pose an external threat, and they have already passed this stage.

Assuming this is interspecies/interplanetary interaction.
Riddles are an effective way to communicate knowledge, abeverage. Quantum mechanics is a riddle for people to learn and progress; relativity theory was born from a riddle and it is based on paradoxes and riddles itself. Curiosity is a gift and it is what makes you learn. Kids are curious by nature, and you must keep curiosity all along your life to keep on learning. Consciousness is a riddle, too.
You are a riddle and a mystery even for yourself. That makes of you a seeker. Now, there is a way to know if something or someone is artificial or natural: Nature never lies, AI does. Machine learning is done by programming algorithms which already contain a fatal flaw; survival requires you gain a competitive advantage over other life forms that compete for your resources, hence the ability to lie is inherent to being alive. That's a riddle in itself, abeverage.
Tell me, what would you term artificial versus natural ? If everything you create is called artificial, are your dreams not artificial under this definition? On the other hand, your brain has the responsibility to keep you alive and curious, so maybe we are all just a creation of your brain for you to keep being you. There is a possibility that we are a recreation of your brain, something you need for your own survival. Who knows?
But it can also happen that you are someone else's dream, someone else that needs dreaming about you. When you take dreams into consideration the riddles disappear.

Perhaps we're gonna die.
They don't care about waking state at all.

One doesn't have to be a scientist to know this.
Also, he's not really "well-known" scientist.
Good story nonetheless. Good thing the polarity shift didn't break the world apart.
This all means, switching back to Sumerian mythology, that we tend to measure time in a very funny way: the way we are used to. And we do this even when relativity theory is there for us to teach us not to take things for granted. So, yes, people "coming out" from Naama (we call it Nemma, it means "ocean") will come. The question is when?

Yes, I had a dream about this cataclysmic event.
Fires all over, Sea-levels rising, UFOs/greys,

This could also explain why we are only artificially seeded slave race according to the Sumerian tablets.
Previous civilizations didn't survive the previous flash floods,
