That car called "Officer" Dudding was the only time I was allowed to get something for doing what I do.

The people deserve to be protected from accidential injury or death from a stray bullet!

Unless he is a Army Sniper and Marine Sniper sorry more to shooting that just aiming and pulling the trigger.

What utter nonsense.

This thread has been derailed by nonsense and what ifs.

It is a good thing that Obama and admin pulled their head out and realized it was a bad and dumb move to even try this.

Case closed I guess.

The BATF is now banning lead free bullets(solid copper bullets made for hunting) and with Calif banning lead bullets there will be nothing left to shoot.
www.eliteammunition.net...

One of the 100 reasons i am leaving calif as soon as i can.

The one strange thing i have seen in they are not banning lead fishing weights that are another large source of lead in the environment.

This one point shows me its not about lead its about the 2nd amendment.

I know at my local walmart that there is as much lead fishing weight on there counters as there is lead in bullets and I live in the desert where fish holes are few and far between.

A lame duck president will know no bounds.
We all know the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

How does protecting campers from stray bullets go against the 2nd Amendment? If my family was attending a camp and one of them were struck by your bullet and killed I'd own you for the rest of your life as I would open up such a lawsuit against you and the Parks Department for not keeping my family safe that it would make waves and your head spin.

You must think that shooters in the wilderness are allowed to shoot where ever they want... then cant.

There are still strictly enforced rules that say any discharge of firearms must be away from any camping areas or buildings, must be 200 yards off any trail and must have a safe backdrop. Gun owners do not take gun safety lightly.

So please tell me again how I am putting anyone's life in danger with my safe and legal gun use...

The point I was arguing was to place signs roping off the areas in q to avoid someone from getting shot. I am all for having guns in National Parks but common sense to not shoot in the direction of the campgrounds, general offices or the play areas and to have each area on a map so that people know where they can shoot and in what direction they can shoot.

Earlier in this thread I got attacked for wanting on the maps and literature a map of the shooting grounds and rules listed pertaining to it's operation and management!

Sorry but the yearning for more rules and such just shows how little freedom you have, as you have know nothing else.

Until you make it our West, you will never understand.

You would be surprised, most trail heads and roads in the mountains have a sign with shooting regulations at the entrance.

So once again I rest my case that there does not need to be ANY changes with gun laws in america.

Is there some indication of the direction of where to shoot?

If there were no rules parks would not be safe and would allow someone to open fire on the campground and there'd be no rule to protect the campers!

Here is a novel idea for the city cowards out there. Do not, I repeat do not venture out into the country without a trusted country person. Seriously, don't do it, you seem to lack common sense that my 10 year old girl could point out.... Things like wear bright orange when you go out into the woods for example, and not just hunting season, as people do target shoot. Yes, I target shoot in the woods for free, rather than paying a fee at the range.

Again, no clue.

You make every argument that suggests you should be fearful of even venturing outside your door.
There are rules for campgrounds.

Have you ever been to an area like this?

City folk are funny eh? They think the only kind of backstops are man made walls. In the country there are natural backstops everywhere, they are called hills. The country is not like the city, all dulldozed flat....
