I talked to many people at the rally in my city. I cant get them Jobs. If I could I would. There lies the problem. I swear, most want Jobs, and they would be cool with just that.

What city was this? Because most OWS i met had jobs were blue collar workers like myself. Funny you say all these people were there looking for jobs lol then you also said that the Unions were there. You are aware that the Unions are employed right? What city was this again?

I understand people are pissed, but both Dems and Repubs HAVE to be held responsible,FIRST! They write the Laws, that gave bankers the right to pillage America, and the world! Im a Independent,BTW. If this movement wants something more then protesting, they have to get the Unions out of their mists. I have yet to see that happen. Nor do I believe,it can be done.

I am Independent as well. But why would getting rid of the Unions be beneficial? They represent the working middle class. If you take out the middle class you have Rich and Poor left. Sounds more like class warfare to me.

I was in Milwaukee.
The Unions are not employing the inner city. I am also a minority. I know better then most,at what is happening in my city, the hood I grew up in. How much money do you think Unions rake in? How much money do they give, support do they give to Politics? Unions are a business. They are 1%. Its not hard to see. The Plant we marched to,my father worked in,36 years. Like I said, you dont have to believe me,but I was there. The rhetoric was recall a republican Governor, and solidarity from Union members, that have money, unlike the poor who didnt. It was surreal.

Not even close on the personal attack but whatever. I have no interest in becoming part of the top 1% or part of the bottom 1%. I am content with what I have and where I am. I've worked for everything I have and that gives me a sense of appreciation that you just don't have when things are handed to you as if you deserve them.

I am a construct of conscious matter and I deserve nothing as nobody deserves anything. To believe in rights is to believe in a lie. Living matter has only abilities. I have the ability to become a millionaire if I create a popular song. Is that "right" when there are people who spend every hour of every day just trying to scrape by?

Can I ask a question - How many of you PRO - OWS ers have had your own personal lives disrupted by this movement? I think your perspective would be a bit different if your children couldn't cross the street to get home from school because these lovelies blocked the crosswalk. Or if you were late for a job interview because the protestors were clogging the streets? Or if you were kept awake all night by the silly drumming?

Have any of you actually been to lower Manhattan? - the stench is worse than the worst subway station I've ever been in. Most of these fighters for freedom are still asleep at 11 a.m.

They are not disrupting the lives of the 1%, but the lives of the 99%. Please unless you've been there - you have no idea.

I'll give you directions if you really want to bother the 1 percenters. They live on Park Ave., Fifth Ave., Central Park West, and Greenwich, CT, Go there and disrupt the lives of the people you"re really angry at.

So you want to commit violent acts against peaceful protesters?

There is no honor in that, why so angry?

I will humbly admit that a couple of Unions years ago that I belonged to were corrupt beyond belief in the ranks. I was a shop steward and seen things like the Union seeing people set up and fired in cahoots with the company and did not defend people when they were suppose to. In another Union a couple presidents given a top company position "as a reward" after they served their term. So yeah that is why i dont belong to or will ever join another union even though i work in skilled trades. However without unions there really is no voice for the working class even though Unions do as much Harm in selling out as they do good in bargaining. I don't expect all unions and locals to be corrupt as the few i once belonged to. It's like saying all politicians are corrupt even though most are imho. But Unions are mostly compromised of middle class workers so maybe at the top of the pyramid there are a hand full of 1%ers, but no the Unions are not the 1% as a whole.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa Jr. was paid a base salary of $294,285 in 2010, according to the labor union’s financial disclosure forms.

“Let’s take these sons-of-bitches out,” Hoffa said during comments ahead of Obama’s appearance at a rally in Detriot, urging union members to vote out conservative politicians in 2012.

LINK

Hes 1% in my book. Most would agree. He has an agenda. Most would agree. He has no problem playing hypocrite,on the backs of union members. Seriously, this is why many conservatives are saying there has to be more to this,It suits their agenda,to support OWS.

Why would OWS protesters be protesting my kids school? The crosswalk?

You know i have never had a problem moving around crowds like huge concerts of thousands maybe slow me down passing through people standing shoulder to shoulder. But i always got where i needed to go. The city streets are always like that too. Whats new? Got a appointment ? leave a little early since you are so aware that they are there right?

Of if you were kept awake all night by the silly drumming? Have any of you actually been to lower Manhattan? -

Years ago I would think the noise from traffic and patrons and police sirens and sirens would keep you awake but you are complaining about bongo drums? Really?

the stench is worse than the worst subway station I've ever been in. Most of these fighters for freedom are still asleep at 11 a.m.

I have a pork production plant down the street you don't see me whine about in around 5 am when it is ripe outside

You are complaining how long they sleep yet the silence is deafening ? Those damn tents

They are not disrupting the lives of the 1%, but the lives of the 99%.

However the police beating people and macing them and worse for protesting their real Boss

Please unless you've been there - you have no idea. I'll give you directions if you really want to bother the 1 percenters. They live on Park Ave., Fifth Ave., Central Park West, and Greenwich, CT, go there and see how long you last.

I have been there not your city but yeah, the police will surely put up barriers.

the Anti Ows folk love to nit pick

Then again... maybe it's Fox News.

Bravo! Couldn't have said it better myself. Even if it was being blocked, there is a bigger picture here. OWS's message is bigger than business to a small coffee shop. You take risks when you open your own business. This is one of them. If this country is really going to change, there will be hard sacrifices, some of them extremely inconvenient but it's for a bigger cause. Perhaps there's a less expensive coffee shop a few doors down. Maybe they should hand out punch cards in the crowd. Have someone stand in front with sample pastry bites. Lots of things could be done to help business. What more could a coffee shop ask for than thousands of people walking by their door? Does an unkempt owner stand in front of it with his arms crossed and a sour look on his face? Seems to be deeper reasons here. Or, maybe it's just Fox.

Yeah Jr is a scum bag, all though i cant stand either left or right these days. But seeing either at OWS warms my heart. Some unions showed up, i did not see many of the big Unions in OWS. I don't know or even think all the Unions are on the same page as far as OWS goes. So a few signed on it was not a big deal to me when Russel Simmons got involved either. Myself i dont really care what the Unions have to say personally after all I am not involved or care to be with them. I just like the fact people showed up. I seen peta there lol and a few other groups i dont even recall. Like vegans are going to get me to stop eating meat and the rest of OWS lol. It is pretty diverse from where i was standing so the Idea of some socialist militia taking over the country out of OWS is comical.

How is it incoherent? It is common sense and mere logic. It is not coherent to you because the truth does not bode well with you and you are grasping at petty excuses. I do not live in a corn field, I live in a city. The poppy remark is insinuating that i am on coc aine . Meaning you are accusing me of being on drugs as a way to assassinate my character. Typical.

If you can not attack the data attack the person... yeah i know how that goes

What, there is only one crosswalk? Unless they are physically restraining my kids I think they could get across. And if it's so horrible to walk through a crowd of people, I could pick them up....which brings me to this

This is why getting up and leaving early pays off. Anyone with a brain knows you always show up to a job interview early. Knowing this, and what the crowd may be like you can plan ahead and make sure you get there. Don't blame protesters if your interview is at 5:00 and you leave your house at 4:30

Turn a fan on or some other kind of white noise, take a couple benadryl, and maybe a glass of wine...you'll be out in no time, and feel great in the morning too.

Yah, blame the protesters for your own lack of responsibility

Have you looked around? Livelihoods interupted, cars and buildings burned. Yes they are oh so peaceful.

I'm not angry I'd just love to see a pro occupy person lose work hours and their car and their house (Though I doubt most have either) and see how thier world view changes. In fact I'd laugh my head off.

Ok sounds like thats what the people who control this whole world would want you to think. Of course if you are smart enough you know that the illuminati, masons, scottish rite, knights templar, etc. (they are actually all one in the same just different branches(distractions)) Own fox News as well as the other major media companys and everything else. Dont know if you guys know of John Todd but im watching a video of his audio and he has some good info.

www.youtube.com...

We the people Must unite and take over these #ing assholes!!!!!!!! We need to stop avoiding the truth its in our faces. I know some people must be scared to even believe that our world is just a matrix but they need to realize it so we can start to make this world what God really intended it to be.

There wasn't anyone in the government trying to force me to buy useless products from private corporations during that time frame. I protested the Patriot Act, and other odds and ends, but it wasn't quite as pervasively oppressive as it is now.

You only started in 2002? Newbies! I started in around 89 or 90. Too busy staying alive up until then, except for a short period in the late 70's.

2002, eh? Better late than never, I reckon. I suppose I ought to take youth into account, and not be so nasty with you.

So why are you wasting your time at Wall Street? Don't have anything serious to protest any more?

This is your firendly English spelling teacher.

There is a big difference between a Lively Hood and a livelihood. Just saying. My hood is still as lively as was before the protests began.

But I get your mneaning. You just chose the wrong spelling for it.

I for one respect wht our fellow Americans who are making a public statement at the various "occupy" sites are doing. They are getting the nation's and the world's attention. Their cause is one well worth the effort. Raising awareness is one the first conditions required for peaceful change.

I'd be there with them if I didn't have to work for a living and wasn't responsible for others' welfare.

Duck-tape? Wined up radios? HD TV or equivalent so we can make sure we see the pretty fear colors.....

"So why are you wasting your time at Wall Street? Don't have anything serious to protest any more?"

I was busy protesting Scottish actors playing Spartans, then protesting Uber Americans using them as avatars back in 06. See it didn't work, so off to Wall Street I go.
