here we go:

Long story short...less religion = a more moral society.
You can watch the video, or you can just decide that can't be true because you don't want it to be.

Yes...
Well, lets consider something

a religious society

And lets think about a society that reversed its stance completely on atheism...take a look in a parrellel world

When you show me a society that looks like that toon, then ya, I may see your side of things

It's people like this you need to beware of.

When a society changes from religion to science, yet you have someone shouting ILLUMINATI! TPTB! BEWARE! you need to ignore the silly argument.

How can a society grow and change if its held back by the notions of a 'devil' or 'anti-christ'?

I'm spiritual, I believe in meditation and that we are all one, in the sense of, made up of the same things, connected to a degree, blah blah, but I don't believe you need someone shouting TPTB are out to get us because instead of relying on thousand year old books, we're relying on things happening now.

“You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD
hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

Atheism is a religion, just like all other religions. I love how the atheists are defending their religion and calling themselves better than Christians and others.

There is only one real answer/religion:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Actually, Atheism is not a religion. As an Atheist, I separate myself from religious institutions, which have beliefs in higher beings that they worship.

We Atheists reject following any organization that makes up Gods or Goddesses. Sure, it's intriguing but it's not our cup of tea.

Life is a weight-scale, yin and yang.
Sometimes you need to do bad things in order to accomplish something good.
With every step you take you can decide to accomplish something good or bad.
I believe there is some sort higher consciousness, perhaps it is the so called collective consciousness.

These scientists purportedly observed that some of these monkeys learned to wash sweet potatoes, and gradually this new behavior spread through the younger generation of monkeys—in the usual fashion, through observation and repetition. Watson then claimed that the researchers observed that once a critical number of monkeys was reached—the so-called hundredth monkey—this previously learned behavior instantly spread across the water to monkeys on nearby islands

BTW, I also think that all religions are misinterpretations and guided by TPTB, it's not just atheism.
There is more.

Humanity needed religion to get by until they figured out how the human body and with that the spirit made in it's image works. Now science is unraveling more and more mysteries which gives the human spirit a kind of selfconfidence it needs to feel good about itself, before that it was religious knowledge which gave that selfconfidence.

Before, if something bad got into the mind of a Christian (or any believer) it would be called the devil or some demon and they used the image of angels and God's grace to battle them until good overcomes evil.

To an atheist there are no demons so they don't need angels or God to defend themselves against bad feelings. If they ever feel bad they'll either distract themselves with material things until it passes or they'll learn how to live with it. If they can't live with it there is a wide variety of pharmaceuticals to combat the bad feeling.

Problem is, other people keep bringing up angels, demons and God. There are no pharmaceuticals to shut them out either. Atheists typically have little control over their mind, otherwise they would not need to declare themselves towards others as atheists, they need that image in their minds to shut out religion.

Religion can't be outlawed either because that would infringe on basic human rights. So at some point religion might become ridiculed by atheists using scientific arguments making believers look like medieval, useless and untrue so religion would simply become less popular and other ideologies against religion more popular.

They are out to get us now, always have been always will be.

I'm afraid you just don't "see" it yet.

Not to worry

If "TPTB" wanted us to be Atheist, than why is God used in almost everything our society does? I.E (Pledge,Court Swearing, The Presidents Oath) hell in some states you cannot be the mayor or a member of city hall if you dont believe in god. This post just seems like a rant from a "Christian Sheep"...

Who's they? and you know America doesn't account for the rest of the world right? In other words if "they" are out to get us than "they" would have to be everywhere, which doesn't make alot of sense.

You are not required to pledge on anything religious. Local governments might boycott anyone not religious - - but they can not legally stop an Atheist from being elected.

I will try to find the article of a few cities that have decided to make it illegal for anyone who doesn't believe in a supreme being to be elected as Major........oh and why in the Hell is the phrase "In God We Trust" etched into our brains? and on the back of our currency?

Why did humanity need religion?
Do ants or bee's need religion in order to build society? are ants or bee's inherently evil?
Religion comes about to dismiss investigation, not fuel it..it was -despite- religion that society progressed into a scientific understanding, not because of it.

To an atheist...there is no consensus about demons, goblins, ghosts, etc.
a demon can be considered a person running on pure ego, or perhaps a ghost, etc...100 different atheists may have 100 different views on such things
Atheists simply do not believe in deitys...because there is no proof of one yet shown.
Open to the idea? sure...but so far, no belief due to lack of proof.

I really don't understand what the problem is here..its a pretty simple concept..why do people attach all sorts of stuff onto it.

You could be a atheist new ager whom believes in spirits, conscious trees, and god-like dimensional beings/aliens...yet you are atheist because you do not believe in deitys.

Problem is, other people keep bringing up angels, demons and God. There are no pharmaceuticals to shut them out either. Thats just a retarded statement...no need to comment on it because its worthless

Religion can't be outlawed either because that would infringe on basic human rights. So at some point religion might become ridiculed by atheists using scientific arguments making believers look like medieval, useless and untrue so religion would simply become less popular and other ideologies against religion more popular.

Anti-theists tend to ridicule religion..atheists usually just ignore it until it pops in their face.
Atheists simply do not believe in god
anti-theists tend to go on crusades against theistic beliefs because they are fed up with it.

I am a atheist and -sometimes- anti-theist..I am happy to be atheist, I am not so proud of my anti-theistic tendencies..but I love a good debate.

Atheism is a "all Clear"-Sign for taking no responsibility for "your" actions. It's a free ticket for egoism, narcissism, cheating, lying, violence, vulgarity and indecent behavior. Because according to atheists there is no life after death, it's just this one time that you are here. So "you" want to have as much fun as possible regardless of the consequences for the rest of the world/people. Right?

What a load of BS this is. First of all "Atheists" take on full responsibility for their actions, due to that fact that there is no GOD who has laid all of our actions out for us.

Do you really believe that all "Atheists" run around care free doing whatever they please and dont give a damn about other people? i will wager you that one of the most common tattoos in ANY prison is most likely a crucifix, or other CHRISTIAN religous icon.

I think you see more "Atheisim" from your PTB because people are evolving as a species to not have to rely on a GOD Monster to run their lives for them.

Its sad that evolution is a slow process.

I am not religious but I believe that I have no earthly clue what will happen when I die, and I leave all possibilities open. Atheists like you are the reason I don't care for "some" Atheists as Much as I don't care for "some" Christians...

*It's sad that evolution is a slow process*.............................really?

This is about the most retarded thing you Atheists like to say.. and I have heard it many times from Atheists, as my Girlfriend and her entire family is Atheist.

You look down on anyone that doesn't fit into your little *unproven* boxed up way of thinking? huh is that right?

You my friend are the one that is still stuck in a cave thousands of years ago, arguing with fellow cavemen that grass doesn't exist because you have not walked out of your cave yet.

I could actually say the same thing to the Christian that is blatantly rude with his beliefs... so.... no dice. You cant prove or disprove either. So I'm just saying I don't know.

I hardly see how that sounds Christian...

I'm glad you caught on, my point was that taking sides is silly, just believe what you believe and dont let anyone sway you, after all living in a world where everyone believes the same-thing would be kinda boring, and we wouldn't advance.

Yes - - would love to see laws that require religious belief to hold a political office.

"In God We Trust" - - - is a lawsuit to me.

Article 6 Article Six of the United States Constitution provides that "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States". Prior to the adoption of the Bill of Rights, this was the only mention of religion in the Constitution.

I did a quick search and you are right, legally no one has to believe in a God, but I swear I read a article from ATS that stated a few cities made it illegal not to believe in a supreme being, and you know I agree with you, In God We Trust is a lawsuit, I've had people tell me I'm not an American because I don't believe in a God.
