BUT, as you say, it still wouldn't have a thing to do with Masonry.

And therein lies the problem. Both Crowley and Reuss convinced themselves that the ultimate secret of Masonry was identical to ninth degree O.T.O. secret of sex magic. Crowley, being quite the loudmouth anyway, published numerous books on the subject, which caused (and still cause) many non-Masons to believe this as a fact.

The O.T.O. rituals are based on Cerneau Scottish Rite and Memphis-Mitzraim, which means at certain points they are very similar to our own ceremonies. When Crowley revised them, he interjected a lot of Thelemic theology, but maintained the standard initiatory forms of Masonry.

How do you all maintain composure and civility so seamlessly in light of such accusations?
I should add, I, personally, often tend to ignore the more outrageous accusations waged against Masons by conspiracy theorists on ATS. And by doing so, or by keeping a level head, my account has outlasted many of them. It's not that anti-masons get banned by Masonic mods; it's that rabidly passionate people often debase their own arguments by turning to personal attack. It's a far better strategy to keep you passions subdued and let your enemy step on the landmine of his own creation. (There have been a number of Masons banned from ATS as well, for similar reasons, but there's a pretty long list of those who have gone up against us on these forums who have gotten the ban hammer eventually for not playing well with others and adhering to the terms & conditions of the site.)

Sad it has to come to this
I guess people are passionate about this, it's like religion and politics

Perhaps you refer to the Law society that so many are tricked into being a part of, and yet cannot name? It is funny, we say we are part of society, but you are correct to ask one to name theirs.
Peace and One Love!

Star fo you, now what if one is a freemason with laws of their own ,do you think they like the freemen scociety
when in a court of law can say that they are not part of their scociety(law scociety) and do not have to obey the
statutes...

To any Freemason: How do you take a good man and make him better? What IS it that you and your 'club' do? The lower level 1-3 degrees are called 'Porch Masons'. Overman presented a host of question's. Each of you should state the truth: God or Satan. Which higher power do you follow? At the core, secrets are kept for a reason.

I've never heard of "porch Masons." And I have been through some very interesting degrees, discussions, etc. I'll ask if anyone else in my Lodge has ever heard of it, but it is doubtful.

God or Satan?
My answer would be God, but that isn't going to be enough for you now is it? Is it God? Jesus? YHWH? Allah? The answer is I don't know. It is just the God that answers my prayers. Sometimes I address God as "God," sometimes "Heavenly Father," and in Lodge, "Great Architect of the Universe." But, I never address him as Satan, LOL!!

Yes, as many have stated, secrets are kept so that one Mason may know another. End of story. I keep far more secrets for my job, and for my wife's sanity, than I do for Masonry.

We encourage him to diligently study and practice his religion. We offer fellowship with like-minded men. We present opportunities to give of his time and resources to help the less fortunate. You know, the sort of things we've been talking about for this entire thread.

The lower level 1-3 degrees are called 'Porch Masons'.

I'm going to guess you've never read any more of Morals and Dogma than the three sentences that allow you to make that claim.

Each of you should state the truth: God or Satan. Which higher power do you follow?

The book you're trying to quote would be able to tell you that.

At the core, secrets are kept for a reason.

Because the keeper is trustworthy. At least, that's what the Bible says. I understand if you don't care for it.

We present the candidates with lessons of morality through ceremonies and symbolism. It is up to the individual to take the lessons and make good use of them. My club is a charitable organization that donates millions a day to various charities worldwide.

Who are you to call anyone "Porch Masons"? Racist overtones aside, you seem to know very little of what the Blue Lodge does and its role.

I answered Overman here

I have never lied on this site about who I am, what I believe, or about Freemasonry. Each Freemason has there own belief and is entitled to follow whatever being they see fit. I am a Christian and follow the Christian God.

Everyone has secrets or something they wish to keep private.

No question I've asked need's to be 'good enough for me'. A clear cut answer is all. Some information though out this thread have been just that. There is much more to this Masonic club than meet's the eye (oh, that was good). Please understand, many question's still remain a mystery.

No racial tone was implied at all. I have a mindset free from that bondage. It is a term used by higher ups (secret?) mason's. Bear in mind, this thread was a matter of questions. Not an 'attack' upon your club.

I have never heard that term nor used it myself when discussing those who belong strictly to the Blue Lodge. Where have you seen this and by who?

By offering him a set of tools by which he can craft his life.

What IS it that you and your 'club' do?
Teach a beautiful system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. Then vote to pay our bills.

The lower level 1-3 degrees are called 'Porch Masons'.
Is that a question?

Overman presented a host of question's.
Did he? I stopped reading after the first sentence once it was clear he had no comprehension of JFK's speech and was going to quote it out of context.

God. I don't believe in Satan. If God is omnipotent, he doesn't need an agent of evil.

At the core, secrets are kept for a reason.
Yes, they are.

Wrong again. My home lodge is on the FLorida/Georgia border. I have been to lodges in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Missouri. I often visit Jackson Lodge #1, the oldest Lodge in Florida, it existed before there was a Florida, it has been through everything from the civil war to the civil rights movement. There is no use of the term "Porch Masons."

If ever that was a term, and I don't think it was, but if it was, it would have been in the racial sense, and not the lower level sense.

Well, if they remain unanswered, then it is evidence of your unwillingness to accept direct and honest answers. There has been nothing asked that didn't have a direct, honest, and complete answer. These guys are some of the "highest ranking" if there be such a thing, and most knowledgeable Masons in existence. I guarantee you will not find this level of knowledge and experience in a typical Lodge.

If these answers are not enough, then nothing will satisfy you, so why ask?

Really? Well, getreadyalready and I are in Tallahassee and Jacksonville, JoshNorton's in Texas, network dude's in South Carolina, and Masonic Light is somewhere in the AASR SMJ. Fellas, I've never heard "porch-Mason" before. Let me know if you have.

I ask because that is the topic of this thread. Most knowledgeable in existence is quite lofty. And by asking a forum (group) I seek many, not a few. Good enough? Of course not, we ALL seek more info/knowledge everyday! That is what this sight is about: ATS.
