Poor Japan, I thought maybe they'd see something bigger with the amount of big ones since the 7.2 - TA you were right with your prediction with Japan being the next to see one above 8.0. Poor Japan, it's a stunning country. I guess better there then in a country where they are completely unprepared. (better nowhere, obviously, but Japan would have a chance at least casualties with their high building standards)

a friend of mine lives in guam and she said they just gave the evacuation routes. i'm really hoping they're just playing it safe and not in any real danger.

I have been a lurker for a while here on ATS and joined the other day for some reason. I have been telling my friends for a long time I felt like something major was getting ready to happen and everyone thought I was crazy.

So as I watch TV I can't bring myself to go to bed knowing that 1000's of people are dying as I lay comfortable in my bed and all I will do is lay there and worry to myself "could this be the calm before a storm".

I am not a religious person but Japan is in my thoughts.

I find it very creepy that EVERY news channel is running the EXACT same footage at the same time. I think paying attention to how it is handled and/or spun and/or...?.... is a major lesson to watch over the next few weeks as well starting now.

CNN 4 million buildings with out power. This is bad. Wiped their airport off the face of the map!

I higly recommend you to see the videos of Italianlad69 on Youtube. This guy understand a lot of thing about the world situation.

I can't make a thread about him because i'm not posting a lot on ATS.

But please if somebody can make a thread about him, I will be very pleased.

They said Australia was on watch on ABC News24, they are on a feed from a world news channel. I have just seen that the BOM have come out and said their is no threat to Australia.

I cannot get the image of those poor people trying to run from the water and getting overtaken. This is so sad. I cannot believe I am watching people die live on TV. Wow, just wow. I'm speechless. My prayers go out to all of those affected by this disaster!

You know it has really hit the fan when there is NO footage, and that day is coming.

I'm looking at several thousand cars + boats just being thrown around like toys. Entire houses just lifted off of there foundations and floating away.

Ha. I love how members immediately attack this statement. I *Gaurentee* more than 50% of the members of this site regardless of admission feel this way.

None of us *want* people to get hurt, people to be crushed or drowned...

but ;

Let us face the truth which is that ALL natural disasters, especially catastrophic ones "excite" us. Likely most if not all but a minute % would favor fellow human beings being slaughtered by nature.
