Are those normal heights being registered on the buoys on the route between Japan and Hawaii as 20m seems quite steep?

yes the fireball is terrifying..Aftershocks are still expected-
and tsunami alerts, besides asia are west and south latinamerica, U.S west coast and even russia.
Besides being a big one, it was in a "strategic" part of the world.

OMG. Ben did you read my mind????? I was just thinking about HAARP and earthquakes, and just actually watching a vid about it immediately before I heard news of the 8.9 Japan quake.

Wow. That could explain the fish kill that happened prior to this quake, maybe?

There is to much Chaos not to be open minded to all theory
the fish and all the bees ..is something extremelly grave
if they die .. we die

Ben you raise an excellent point. Chaos is breaking out all over the world and it helps to keep an open mind about it. Yes, we can theorize about this bad thing that has happened in Japan at a time like this. And why not? Why shouldn't we? Every day is a day of mourning these days.

And yes! We have to have animals on Earth in order for the survival of Humans! It's apart of a delicate balance and that balance is being tipped up like the Titanic.

Japan, Hawaii, Russia, Guam, etc. aren't the only ones in trouble. The whole planet is in trouble.

Really, how you gonna surf in all of that debris? Doesn't sound logical.

They just confirmed so far that 8 are dead.

They said this is that largest quake in recorded history...since at least 1707.

Anyone seeing that huge fireball at the oil refinery? I can't even imagine... Goodluck to everyone who could potentially feel strong effects from this. Really hoping everyone stays safe. I'm in Pennsylvania and I'm freaking out a bit.

Dude, this isn't the type of wave you can surf on, or would even want to. Tsunami waves aren't like normal waves. They are more like huge rip currents. It would be like trying to surf on a swollen river that just won't stop. It isn't like you see in the movies.

Oh man...this quy on the news was just saying that the last big one of 8.1 killed over 30,000 people and that was from the fires.

Ok, long time lurker and I just created an account. I'm in Alaska and I noticed what I thought were some faint Northern Lights tonight just prior to the quake. I have lived here for two years and have not seen them yet so I was pretty excited. It was a very faint green streak across the sky and has since dissipated. Very strange indeed!

I have a friend in Oahu. She says schools are closed there tomorrow. And, that the ocean there is about 6 ft higher than normal now. She is 3 miles inland, so safe.
