Why is this such a major issue in the media, that's what I want to know. It seems like this must be building up to something?! Or maybe I just expect too much out of these idiots some times, although I find it peculiar that such launches have been made, moreover that they are gaining so much attention and curiousity in the media.
Thats not a rocket flame, thats the setting sun reflecting off the aircraft
Seeing aircraft beacons at 35 miles in full sunlight?
watch closely and you will see the green light on the right wing flash

When I see the entire ten minutes they filmed, then I'll be more convinced to believe that it was a missile. There was a reason why they only show the thirty seconds or so that they showed.

So a former general believes it was not a plane. The evidence (as discussed in other threads) says otherwise.

So, you're basically saying that you trust what you read on ATS over an Airforce General, and someone who served in the Navy for over 20 years?!
Personally, I dont even understand how anyone can believe its an airplane. I dont care if thats the "official" explanation. Dear US govt, I was born at night, but not last night.
Airplanes dont leave condensation trails at that low of an altitude. If they did, air traffic controllers would be screwed. Every airport would be covered in fog.
Airplanes dont fly vertically out of the pacific ocean
Even if we didnt have the aforementioned points to ponder, wouldnt someone be able to narrow down exactly what plane, what flight, what company the plane was?
