Ok, so a large missile blasts out of the Pacific for everyone near L.A. to see, and the US Govt has no idea what it was? That is a pile a B.S. OK, the average American may buy that for a day as those in power scamble for a excuse that is more believable than the current 'Mystery" as it is tagged in all the News reports tonight.

Ok, what if....say China or India or even the good old Russians had a beef with us, and decided to pop off a harmless 'dud' to illustrate that: 1) they can get that close to our shores and 2) their SLBM's do indeed work.....and they can vaporize coastal cities in a few minutes after launch. Do you think the US Govt. is going to go public with that and scare all of us out of our minds....your answer: no. It is a Mystery the press say. Just a darn mystery. Hmmm. Really....Really?

There is another post of another mystery, but it's source seems to be confirmed as Luke AFB, near Phoenix...not all that far from the West Coast either. Coincidence?

Oh, and Obama is out of the country...have we not heard that when something big is going to go down, the President will be out of country? I have heard that many times (speculation of course).

I don't like this at all. I am spooked.

There was a similar sighting in late 2009 off the east coast of Canada. Canadian officials denied it ever happened and some experts thought it could have been France testing a missile. Almost a year later and the story has disappeared and our government still plays dumb about it. It was a big buzz out here for a while. Here is a link that discusses it with some mainstream coverage. Sorry I do not know how to embed videos yet.

It's LA... one of the busiest flight zones in the world. And they had NO jets in the air? Your going to have to show a link to that FAA statement

:shk:

Besides anyone have the coordinates where this thing actually flew? You would need that as well as time

If it was a military jet then it had to be launched off an aircraft carrier then the NAVY would know right they would of said a loooong time ago and wouldn't be asking for the military to count their missiles.... Why would you count your missiles and how do you *accidently* fire off a missile there is procedures in place you dont just push the red button and there it goes... This has something to do with a secret op setting off a rocket or missile.

I don't believe it's a jet contrail. This story is almost on all MSM, also in Europe where I am. Let's look at the FACTS:
1) it's clear that whatever is provoking the plume it's not that high in the sky. Contrails only form at very high altitudes and with temperatures well below 0 Celsius.
2) Normal contrails are not so close to the aircrafts.
3) After more than 24h, noone is able to tell flight number, type of airplane etc...something that would dissipate all the doubts
4) many people, from the cameramen who shot the video to former top government officials, affirm it's clearly a rocket launch
5) All the governmental sources admit they have no clues and they are not ashamed of saying that, even though they know it's embarassing to be clueless for the most advanced country of this planet. They could easily say it was a plane but they don't. Why?

IMO these arguments are enough to exclude the airplane theory. I "hope" it was a top-secret test because all the other options imply scary scenario's.

I've seen something like this more than 10 years ago or so. My sighting was in central Maine. The object I saw rose vertically above the mountain range in the west with a contrail that eventually disappeared after it reached a certain altitude. I thought it was a plane at first but when it disappeared and didn't approach my location (to its east) I had to question what it was. I considered everything and had plenty of plausable theories but had I no true explanation. There are no airports due west of my location and to the best of knowledge there are no military facilities either. Of course I even considered the possiblity that it was a model rocket. To this day I'm not sure what it was I saw.

When I watch the video of the object in California it's oddly similar to what I saw except it it seems to have been much closer to the cameraman.

What bothers me is at the end of the msn news video, the guy being interviewed says that this is the type of thing that could fuel conspiracy theorist forever. Does this make anyone else think twice? It almost sounded scripted, I don't know, just caught my attention.

No, he said they had no jets IN THE AREA. He didn't say they had no jets in the air. A subtle difference in wording makes a not so subtle difference.

Well if it was a foreign power showing they can get that close undetected then I don't think it's neccessarily all bad depending on who it is.
It may just be a warning to the warmongers in the WH and that may be a good thing..
Show them they are not invincible like many believe..

Maybe somebody just got sick of being in the Navy and thought they'd get dishonorably discharged the fun way.

Or maybe the missile was directed at land and was averted by the aliens!

Because no one made a big deal about it until today. Because most everyone in L.A. (except for the "news" casters) knew that what they were looking at was a jet contrail.

Hi,
If you look at the original video. At 1:36 into the video. A large plane comes into view. Could this be linked to this event. LINK.

If this wasn't down to the US and someone let some missiles off in your own back yard. Wouldn't you have thought that they would treat this with the highest priority.

Hopefully just laser testing as the link suggests.

I wouldn't think they would do such a thing so close to a populated area like So California for sure.

There were two airplanes in the other Video. Sure close to alot of airtraffic too. (LAX etc,.).

Nobody denies it's a sunset lit contrail

The point it's the cause of the contrail

Has anyone floated the idea that it could have been an accident?

An accidental launch from a missile sub while conducting training and the military or government does not want to admit they accidentally put the US mainland at risk because they would look foolish on the world stage.

It's a possibility.
