Isn't that just damn sad? More regulation on the First Amendment but yet, less regulation on oil companies. They refuse to look at prostitution as something they can legalize and regulate (to boost economy) and instead, they don't want to damage "family values" (aka Votes). They believe abortion is "wrong" but support the death sentence of many innocent prisoners.

I'm just amazed that people like you exist, or at least that you hold the opinions you have. You've shown a complete disregard for fact and/or history. You've completely fabricated your own reality based upon an unfounded love of political faction (which has induced a hate for the other).

My guess is that you're either extremely young (i.e. under 20) or you're extremely inexperienced. Racism is alive and well - and it's the worst in the NE area of the nation.

The hard-core right does not care about "giving money to non-whites"... they care about adhering to the constitution. Right or wrong - they believe that this nation is great because it follows an inspired set of documents that clearly define the best attempt at government the world's ever seen.

If you believe for a second that the American left "cares" about people for more than anything but a power base from which to "govern" then you're simply deluding yourself.

American politics, and more importantly the American people are so incredibly diverse and complicated that your unfounded simplification of it is beyond naive.

I only hope that you would save your original post - and one day when you're older and actually have lived a bit you read it again and laugh at how moronic you've managed to sound.

Who cares what number we rank? Go ask most Canadians about their govt. run health care. They have to wait months to get proceedures that they need now. Many die before their "turn" comes up.
If you want the govt. to hand feed you your health care, housing, food, job, etc... go somewhere else. I'll take my chances to suceed or fail by my own hand thank you very much.

I think its important to give a tax cut to the largest corporations that pay zero taxes already.

I find the VAT tax to be a great idea.

I think health care should not be for everyone to afford...do we -really- need to keep the lower middle class alive? come on now...


Anyhow...on a serious note...this congress is crippled

if I step away for just a moment and look...this is actually a good thing...we really do need checks and balances...I think a left in the white house, a center in the senate, and a right in the congress may be about as perfect a balance as we can get...

I don't want any one party to have supreme reign...I just wish the supreme court was a bit more centered than the right swing they took...the whole undocumented donations towards campaigns is a absolute disaster, and that is the most destructive aspect of our republic in my opinion (and the corporations = people nonsense)...

I personally hate with a undying passion the right wing agenda...however, I also know there are plenty of people whom love it, and my view of what America should be is not a fact...just a viewpoint of what I want..like ordering a pizza really, my toppings is not the only thing that works, just what I personally like.

and should anything become too radical or far from center, there will be filibusters and vetos, but expect the first 6 months or so a bickerfest and a show of who is who.

The Tea Party is about smaller government and protecting the true values of American Life by ensuring that the Constitution of the United States is forever upheld. A majority of the Democrats in office now do not feel that way which is why the U.S. is in a current state of deterioration. The vote cast by the public proves that we as Americans want a different change. Even though we cant get a new President right now,we can definitely get a start with the House. Let the games begin!

I love this site and the fact that people post here with an open mind, even if its against everyone else s opinions, to me that's what being an American is all about. But what I think everyone in America is missing is the fact that we are only voting for two different political parties. And now, there's a mix of a third (Tea Party) which is just as bad as Democrats and Republicans. Nothing is going to get done when people are voting only because of their political affiliation. To the posters saying Obama's Nationalized Healthcare is great....I read the 'HealthCare' Bill Congress passed.

It ain't great. It ain't about healthcare. It's sole purpose is to generate Revenue to fund 70 million baby boomers now needing Social Security and Medicare.

"It is the sense of Congress that the funds created by this act be reserved for Social Security"

You'll find that sentence in the bill they passed.

You wil be forced to pick from either a Bronze, Silver, or Gold plan from one of their Insurance companies. It doesn't matter which plan you pick. The bill states the Insurance company will get reimbursed from the Treasury for medical procedures...not to exceed $90,000. I hope you don't need heart surgery.

They also will still have the power to refuse care to you. The Bill explains the process you have to go thru to appeal a denial to give you care. The Bill states it's a $25,000 fine if you fail to apply for ObamaCare by 2014. The IRS also is given authority to fine you on your income tax return. The annual fine from them is $750. If you file taxes jointly with your wife and have 2 kids, your fine will be $750 x 4= $3000 annually.

They also put in there that if you claim 10 Exemptions on your W-4, your fine from the IRS will instead be $750 x 10= $7500 annually if you do not have ObamaCare. It says smokers will pay a minimum of 1.5 times as much monthly than a non-smoker. If you lie to them and say you don't smoke to get the cheaper rate, the fine is $250,000. The new Insurance Companies have been given authority to call you at home or even go to your house and tell you that you are fat and need exercise. You no longer have a right to privacy.

The Bill enhanced the EMTALA Act and gives illegal aliens 100% free healthcare with Emergency Rooms and they are exempt from paying this new Federal Tax.

You really need to sit down and read the Bill they passed. All of the States were required to have websites up by July 2010 showing us which Insurance Companies in this new program we have to pick from by 2014. Congress let the States slide on that timeline because of the November elections. Since the Elections are over you will see the Federal Government punishing States for not having their websites up by July.

ObamaCare has absolutely nothing to do with Healthcare. It's sole purpose is to generate Revenue to fund Social Security and Medicare for the 70+ million baby boomers retiring right now. This Generation is getting enslaved to cradle the prior Generation in their Golden Years. We're getting ROBBED.
