Israel has mounted a public relations campaign to convince international hearts and minds that Hamas is to blame for the death and destruction they are seeing on their television screens.

Stung by the wave of international criticism earlier this year when Israel invaded Gaza to stop militants firing rockets, in an operation dwarfed by its current attack, Israel decided to go on the offensive.

"In the past our prime minister received phone calls from high-ranking officials and politicians. When he said, 'Surely you understand about the rocket fire', they said, 'What are you talking about?'" foreign ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said.

Can you tell us how many countries classify Israel as an outlaw state?

Algeria, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Guinea, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic of Western Sahara (in exile,) Cuba, Republic of China (Taiwan), North Korea, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Pakistan, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

All these states have stated that israel is an immigrant zionist terrorist state that is expanding illegally.

I am surprised Russia is not on the list.

MR. AXELROD: Well, obviously, it's a very serious situation. He spent some time on the phone with Secretary Rice yesterday, and he is monitoring the situation. But we've said repeatedly through this transition period that we--there's only one president at a time, and President Bush speaks for the United States of America until January 20th, and we're going to honor that moving forward.

MR. GREGORY: But in the course of the campaign, the now president-elect visited Sderot...

MR. AXELROD: He did.

MR. GREGORY: ...in fact, in southern Israel, and he said that Israel had a right to defend itself against rocket attacks from Hamas.

MR. AXELROD: Indeed, he did.

MR. GREGORY: Does he believe it's appropriate for Israel, if it takes his decision, to push Hamas from power?

MR. AXELROD: He did, as you said, visit Sderot in July, and he said then that he thought that when bombs are raining, raining down on your citizens, it is--it's obviously unacceptable and there is an urge to act. And so--but again, I don't want to go beyond that because we only have one government and one president at a time. And he's going to continue to consult with Secretary Rice and the president and the administration on this and monitor these events. And he'll be prepared to take over on the 20th and, and, and discharge his responsibilities then.

Sigh,

The UK has and is boycotting talks with Hamas (the Political Wing), frozen their assets and has labeled the Military Wing as a Terrorist organization. The UK is part of the EU that has declared Hamas to be a Terror Group.

You keep believing that the UK actually has diplomatic relations with Hamas currently.

findarticles.com...

ROME -- European Union foreign ministers said Saturday that the union would officially declare all wings of the militant Palestinian group Hamas a terrorist organization and freeze its assets.

"A consensus has been found to decide to include Hamas on the list of terrorist organizations," said the French foreign minister, Dominique de Villepin, as the ministers concluded a two-day meeting.

and to reply in the same tone of yours - your so called `case` of user submitted video `evidence` on a user run website - you tube , stands for absolutely nothing in all courts.

so your entire arguement of `pallywood` holds no water , based upon your own argement of evidence.

edit:

i will also add , that given the total lack of moderation on `you tube` or goole video , unless complaints are made then video`s just sit there , in fact stories or controversial video`s are released in the streaming format on the lack of moderation you tube before any attempt at garnering MSM exposure - in fact that exposure can be gained by posting on you tube , because they know the topic - from school children taking part in underage and illegal activities - to soccor moms stabbing each other to radical splinter religous groups (on all sides , christian , muslim , jewish, sihk, hundu and bhuddist to name just some) posting there various hate inspired rubbish for there own nevarious gain.

so you state that `pallywood` is alive and well - i submit this , prove that the video`s are not in fact been faked to seem that the dead children are in fact alive and well , using doubles and make up artists by `the other side` - prove that conjecture.

oh wait , you cant.

[edit on 28/12/08 by Harlequin]

You are wrong. The original video footage has already stood up in French Courts. Video footage does stand as evidence. So do photos. But your photos prove nothing. That was my point. You waste your time ranting on and on. This Pallywood issue is proven. Suck it up.

That list is truly impressive; talk about the enlightened and forward thinking nations. Sometimes you can be defined by your detractors, and this is just such a case.

North Korea doesn't like Israel? I would have thought that was a line from an Adam Sandler skit.

I will sleep soundly tonight knowing that aforementioned nations don't appreciate Jewcano's beloved homeland.

Good, it's about time they got tough and called a spade a spade. You are known by the company you keep. If you have associations or talks with Hamas behind Israel's back, then you are, and should be, considered one of them and treated accordingly.

When UK got a beating in basra they shook hands with Muqtada Al sadr and realeased thousands of millitants.

UK is getting a beating by the taliban at the moment and are looking for ways to shake hands with Mullah Omar (leader of Taliban) but the taliban keep rejecting it.

You see UK knows how to form 'diplomatic relations' with terrorist organisations UNDERCOVER.

Your list of countries is characterized by the most enlightened of the planet. NOT!

One can be defined by his friends, but in this case, Israel should publish and broadcast this list!

Some of the most backward-assed, contentious countries in history.

My God!

Oh dear, and to think I have written letters to all my U.S. Reps to the Congress and the Senate asking them to vote against all funding for Israel and to fund Hamas instead!

How is it I am accordingly to be treated for that?

They teach their children to hate. They fire missiles into civilian populations. They do suicide bombings in civilian areas and they kill Israeli civilians daily. They also use children as human shields. Did you see that video? Or did you just swagger onto this thread without reading all the pages of comments and videos posted long before you showed up here?
