I don't think this is a very important piece of news as they could have bought those pieces of military equipment from NATO, and not that these equipment are a direct aid to Georgia from NATO as a consequence of this war. Wat say?

I really don t know.Yes they could have bought military equipment from NATO and thats all there is too it,but why would Russia Today make a point in say it was NATO equipment unless it was just a form of Propaganda.

Well the breaking news said "NATO equipment sent to South Ossetia".
It didn't say for what purpose, for which side.

They are recapping this stuff on Russia Today every hour.
Statements, interviews, background info.

Check in Russia Today if you want to see it.

Maybe China is going to be given Taiwan to do with as they please.

Remember, the threats of US attacks on China if they attacked Taiwan?

Maybe it's we will look the other way for you (China) if you do the same for us (NATO) in Georgia/Iran

lol, you are ignorant , right , Syria had no S-300(SA-10) ADM systems

see

This is how Syrian air-defence looks like.

Red circles marks SA-2 system RANGE (there are 24 sites of SA-2)
Blue circles marks SA-3 system RANGE - there are 26 system sites
Biggest circles marks of course SA-5 system (5 active sites)
Purple circles marks SA-16 system (12 active sites)

Most of them are outdated system of 60's and 70's familiar in the west and easily disturbed by ECM. Further SA-5 has none low level intercept ability.

observe the above diagram :

As you can see most of the Israel intrusion hapen betwen Halalaba and Al Lathqiyah with weakest defences and in the eastern part of the Syria with basicly no airdefence coverage.

also syrain sources have stated that israel fighter were forced to abort and the story of attack on nuke facility is fake acc. to syrian sources , as syria has no nuke program

there has no confirmation of nuke facility by russian or syrain sources ,and this could be a false flag operation in front to garner support from west to make USA attack syria , like the false WMD stories spread by israel and usa in 2003 for invading iraq ,

by invading syria , iran could be isolated and threatened more easily by USA or israel

Just looking at the news reports you can see Russias technology and equipment is inferior to any thing the west has. look at how many aircraft and tanks georgia has KO'd with 20 year old junk weaponry, Russia has lost more tanks in 1 day than what America has lost in 4 years in Iraq...

really , wheres the proof ..... you have been known for posting BS , lol, what weapons does Georgia have to take out the T-80's

there is not a single report on the number of tank losses that Russia has suffered

and US itself lost 80 tanks in Iraq in 2003-2005 ,

Yes you are right, it may be propaganda, but if it is true then that means Georgia has better equipment than Soviet era tanks and APCs. They could put up a decent fight.

Russia Today reported on it but the breaking news line said "INTERFAX" which is a Russian news agency in Moscow. freemindmine said "Russia Today reported" but all they did was show what INTERFAX had on info.

manson322 wow man where did you get those maps

Very very interesting

I feel like it is 1936 all over again, not that I was alive in 1936 but i can count just three more years till 1939

Great posts everyone, I was disturbed by the lack of news of what is goin on in Georgia in the USA News.

I learned alot here. I still dont have an opinion about who is morally in the right but it is interesting nonetheless.

Russia Today also reports that-

Abkhazian official have announced that the republic’s troops have entered the Gail district of Georgia.

76 Airborne Brigade of the Russian Army arrives in the conflict region - Russian military officials.

Has anyone seen any analysis by experts on any news channel?? If so please post links. Even if it is Russian, we could translate it.

Russia today itself regularly lets "experts" talk about the subject.
Just check in every hour and you'll see.

The 76th Airborne thing has been reported multiple times lol. (In this thread)

Russian paras? Jeez I'm beginning to feel sorry for the Georgian aggressors now! I met this Slovakian a couple of years ago out in Jerusalem, we got chatting and he mentioned he'd been in the air force. He told me he'd been on exercise with some russian paras and told me they were the hardest mother........... you could imagine.
