Just looking at the news reports you can see Russias technology and equipment is inferior to any thing the west has. look at how many aircraft and tanks georgia has KO'd with 20 year old junk weaponry, Russia has lost more tanks in 1 day than what America has lost in 4 years in Iraq...

Russia Today reported on it but the breaking news line said "INTERFAX" which is a Russian news agency in Moscow. freemindmine said "Russia Today reported" but all they did was show what INTERFAX had on info.
