Some Russian general was probably playing the original Ghost Recon & Lock On: Flaming Cliffs,,, thought the storyline was cool, and decided to reinact it in reality. It's the same region and everything.

Ok Ok Ok,,, bad joke.

Sense of humor is very important thing. When it is lacking, and people think too much of themself conflicts just like this Georgia - Russian one arise.
Thus i will take this Israeli-Palestinian out-of-the-blue comment with sence of humor. Keep on
expressing your respected opinions , even if they have no connection with truth.

I know, but it sends a message - they aren't merely securing the locality which is in dispute.

Possibly to spread parts of Georgias army to areas of the pipeline so they have fewer numbers to attack. Or let the President/General of Georgian army think "Oh F*** we're screwed" which he already probably thought

Why would Russia admit having "missed?" Typically governments either say nothing, use hyperbole, or mention succesful operations after the fact. Rarely do they willingly admit failure, even on a small scale. So was that really said by Russia? If so, why?

Now I'm confused again.

Oh. Well that makes more sense, then.

Either it's the virus talking and I'm seeing things, or originally someone said Russia said it. (Probably the former.)

EU, US and NATO delegation on the way to GEORGIA to broker a peace deal....

poking our noses in when it is not wanted again...when will we learn??

Russia cares not for the preaching of the EU, or the US or indeed NATO.

Leave them to it, Georgia started a war that it cannot finish. The 'worst' that will happen is S Ossetia will be ceded to Russia. Tut tut Georgia, what were you thinking.
