Absolutely. It seems most people who come into this scenario late have a few misled beliefs. Some of them seem to believe russia invaded georgia without provocation. Some believe it was russia that declared war on georgia... the list goes on.

Unfortunately for them, the BBC completely omitted the shelling of Tshinvale, and made it look like Russia just waltzed in and started killing people.

As such, I'm boycotting BBC. Their obvious political bias has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Reuters on the other hand has been portraying facts. I haven't seen barely a single opinion on the war, other than the reporters reporting on the presidents opinion (Georgia, Russia, etc.)

The reason that the BBC is reporting that Russia has invaded a small country. Regardless of what happened or why it happened is not the news. The News is that Russia has exercised thier military against the will of its neighbors to suppress enemy combatants in a Democratically elected country. That is the news to the world, not that that the Georgia retaliated against S O instigators, justifiably or not.

Oh no boycotting BBC--wow you really are an important person--show em who is the boss.

More breaking:

SKY: Condoleezza Rice says U.S. supports democratically elected Georgian government, and that Russian military operations "need to stop now."

- Medvedev declares there will be a day of mourning for deaths in conflict.

i'm also disappointed in the BBC. I expect this from the U.S. media since GEorgia is a United States backed government.

How old are you really 12? Do you really think that opposing Ideologies have just started using propoganda. "Unprecedented" HHAHAH this is only a small sample, read your history books.

Comon man!

Lets keep the personal flavors out of this shall we?

He stated his opinion.
And quite frankly, I haven't seen this level of media biasing regarding Russia and it's former States for a VERY long time.

Sure, we see allot of misinformation from the US, UK etc, regarding whatever war they've gotten themselves into at the time...

but regarding Russia? This level of political brainwashing hasn't been around for quite some time.

What the heck does it matter that they were democratically elected?

When you shell a city into the ground simply because a few rebels were firing shots... I don't care WHAT you call your government, it needs to be stopped!

Anyway, does the U.S. have intelligence that Russia is continuing its military operations? Why are they continuing to demand that Russia stops?

Hm.

A few rebels firing shots eh, lol I guess there was a wedding and they were just firing those shots up in the air to celebrate. Russia Stopped them just as they planned, thank god the Georgian military started it. Please!!!!

Umm, I didn't detract from the fact the rebels were firing on Georgians...

but you DON'T LEVEL A CITY because of it!
That just doesn't make sense...

Whats next, shell Detroit because of gang violence?

Seriously, these are the actions of a madman. What sane person thinks they can re-take a province and get them to be pro-Georgian by shelling it's capital city?

If you have problems with insurgencies, separatists, etc. And they've become violent, then go in there, don't shell the entire city intentionally killing as many random civilians as you can.

Johnsky I have noticed that you have based much upon the FACT that Georgia Shelled Innocent civilians and killed 2000 of them on purpose.

Are you 100% certain that the Georgian military is responsible for this MASSACRE? Independant verification? What really happended here? Why was the Russian Military already prepared for an invasion? Was there with 100% accuracy that no outside influences caused a Georgian reaction?

You say
"Seriously, these are the actions of a madman. What sane person thinks they can re-take a province and get them to be pro-Georgian by shelling it's capital city? "

You follow the logic that he is insane? I have a hard time allowing this as the first probability. I must look at other reason's, yet you cling to this as the only reason. It is not logical.

I've been watching BBC/SKY/CNN and RussiaToday.
All these news stations are biased in their reporting, RT has even stated on their channel that they are heavily influenced by the Kremlin...
All in all each side is biased...
IMO the only way to find the true story is to find the middle ground with what every one has said...
