No analogy, Osama is a devout Muslim who publicly states he is doing what he does for Islam- Hitler was not a devout christian and was not doing what he did to further CHristianity- he was supreme ruler in Germany and kept the state secular!

not sure what you are waffling about, a baby being beheaded in a supermarket would receive MORE coverage if it happened in the UK, US etc

every day i hear on the news how a dad or mom killed his whole family stabbed his kids to dead in the house, i dont see muslims blaming his religion..hes a bad person and any religion or race would condemn that.

No one has mentioned race BTW

As for the case you mentioned, no religion clearly does not play a part- however there are several beheading videos on the internet in which Islamic killers have beheaded AMericans, Russians, Israelis, East Asians etc claiming their actions IN THE NAME OF ISLAM- I have yet to see a video of a christian singing "THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD" and then beheading a muslim.........

you must have missed the posts before the mods edited them - there has been many racial/religious hatred posts in this very thread against islam - even though no religion has ben mentioned assumptions are to the for - the point i was trying to make , is that if this had happened in NYC , there would be no screaming fanatics calling for the death of chrisitians.

Two points, some person was inferring that this is only receiving coverage because it happened in an Islamic state, and probably by someone of a muslim background- that is clearly wrong, media coverage of a baby being beheaded in NYC would receive more coverage back home.

As for the religious aspect, clearly it is wrong to say this was done for "Islam", it sounds like a domestic dispute and one evil sadistic scumbag.

totally agree - look at the media coverage that the events in Jersey childrens home is getting - daily there talking about more rooms and pieces of bodies being found - and yet no mention of religion but alot of coverage

i have only glanced at the case - but AFAIK the jersey childrens home was a state run secular insitution - so why would any religious reference be made ??

Wish I was a mod. can we stop the senseless bickering? this has absolutely nothing to do with religion. many of you jump into that religious attack immediately and want to make the christians or whoever it may be, look bad. this guy is not part of any religion. no religion teaches that.

this guy needs to be put through a slow painful death...something that will take a few months before he dies.....start by chopping his fingers and toes off and then gradually move around the body....take your pick...then finish him by chopping his head off.....Im not a violent person but reading something like that brings out the bad side of me.....

As for "traditionally", think you need to get up to speed by several hundred years cocker, the most yer average "Christian" does now is hold a placard or sing "KUMBAYA"

You know. this is just horrific! I cant even picture it in my head. But acts and atrocities are committed daily, so shocking that your gut turns over, all over the world. WE have our fair share of horrible acts inflicted on children.
This poor little one was beheaded, God rest his soul, and as barbaric as it is, so is leaving a child in a car in Phoenix all day, helpless, unable to open a window, and suffocating at 180 degrees inside a car. REASON? Mother forgot him. This happens ALL THE TIME. Its sickning...although the degree of malice is a knotch below beheading, for all intents and purposes, its the same damn thing.

Not to mention everything else we hear of daily, so to say this is a Muslim act is not accurate. In this case it was the act of a crazed murderous barbarian Muslim, which is different.

Our modus operendei is to throw the child from the balcony, or scald him with boiling water, or heck, use the microwave, but they have that beheading thing going for them. Its their m.o.

If it were about Kansas or Atlanta, you would get the some of the same people on here de-crying this act!
When we realise how horribly those Saudi women are treated, we will see why it's possible that this man felt O.K. to do this to get back at his sister.
