Alls Im saying is that whilst most muslims do not behead people, the only online evidence I have of beheadings associated with religion in the modern world is with Islam- I have footage of Muslims beheading Americans, Russians, Koreans, etc QUOTING the Koran.

I have not found similar online footage of a Christian (quoting the Bible), JEw (quoting the Torah), Bhuddist (quoting things they quote) etc and beheading someone- has anyone a link?

Its a little dubious why anyone would want to "capture the moment" unless it was for "effect", propaganda, shock, agendas, etc. Go figure, i sure cannot.
Its also not our m.o. to intentionally film ourselves killing grandma. Its just not done, and there would be no purpose to it.

Blueorder, where in that article does it say that he was a muslim? What it says is that he was a Syrian national. Did you know there are Jews and Christians in Syria and in Saudi Arabia that live peacefully together. I know, it's convenient and furthers your agenda to just say he was a Muslim. Also, as pointed out countless times in this thread, there is nothing that says this has anything to do with religion. Using this tragedy as a means to garner support for the hatred of Muslims is inaccurate and insulting to the victim.

perhaps in Syria, but not in Saudi Arabia, in Saudi Arabia it is illegal for a citizen to be anything other than a Muslim.

The government claims that it permits the right of non muslims to practice their religion behind closed doors ( a defence which, at best, confers second class status on non muslims) but does not do so in practice.

There are no churches permitted in Saudi Arabia and one would not be permitted to read a bible in public or display a cross.

It is a country that makes South African apartheid look like paradise, yet does not receive the same university protests, left wing hate etc (I agree the US policy of supportin the regime is questionable though)

I absolutely agree that is against the precepts of Islam, too - no doubt about it.
(It didn't stop all those Ottoman troops, three hundred years ago - or indeed less than 100 years ago, in Armenia - from doing just that to many thousands of children. But I did say in my post I don't consider them to have been "good Muslims".)

And I would say that about a Christian cult beating women for exposing a wrist as well(as they now do in Afghanistan!)

I have read the article.

I just think this is more the work of a radical rather than that of a normal Muslim.
Normally, punishment would be directed directly to the woman, not her infant, especially her infant SON.
Thats why I believe this is simply the work of a radical.

The crime is atrocious, but there are plenty of people in every religion that commit these types of crimes.
perhaps not beheading little boys, but equally as sick.
