Have I Disturbed Some One? (Revisited)

been a while since i last been to this forum
can't believe this is still going on, if it was me i would've cleansed the place.

when i read the first 15-16 pages a month or two ago i felt the ghosts in this house look over my shoulder as well. the three of us reading hehe...it gave me the chills really.

now reading only this page, i can't say it feels right.
this has to be closed sooner then later.

then again it's very fascinating and want to keep reading more and more that you post.

Wow an update would be nice, I'm assuming they said p@ss on it and moved.

LOL...we're still here. I typically only update when something happens. We've had a good stretch of no activity.

Ahh! Well glad your still here You have quite the story, I've never had so many chills reading something.

I do have something to add. I have noticed that there is a bit of synchronicity between some one commenting on this thread and when something happens that otherwise I would forget to share. You bringing this thread to the top has occurred just after something interesting concerning the house. No new activity, but get a load of this.

The grand-daughter of the man who built this house called me on Sunday evening. First time I've talked to her in probably a year. She is a sweet old lady, and some day I am hoping she will come and visit and see how we are fixing up her grandfather's house. She was born in the 20's, so she's got to be 80 or about to be at least.

Anyway, she called just to see how we were doing and coming along on the house. Apparently her and her sister had been arguing about something concerning the house (I never quite got straight what that was). But she starts talking about this and that and brings up that her mother, who was born in 1902, was most definitely born in the house. So she says something to the affect "and that was in 1902 and I remember grandmother talking about that my mother was born in the house and she even mentioned they had a ouija board and I thought to myself - I didn't realize they had ouija boards back then!" And then she just went off talking about other things.

It was so odd that she inserted that little nugget in a totally un-related recollection.

Like I said, this is one of those instances where, had you not replied to this thread, I would have totally forgotten to share that, but, here we are!

I'm not thinking straight, so you'll have to forgive that I keep piece-mealing these things out. I found out something else important in the phone call with the grand-daughter. Prior to that phone call, we had thought the little girl in this picture...



was her mother, who was born in 1902, which would date the pic around 1905-1906 because the little girl looks to be about 3 to 4 years old. The granddaughter states that is not her mother, but her mother's older sister who was 4 years older than her and died right before she was born. So the little girl in this picture (and this picture is now dated according to the information from the granddaughter at approximately 1901-1902) died in this house.

She got measles and mumps at the same time and it killed her.

Yes Ouija boards have been around a long time, the 1890's or so, and 'talking boards' since around 1850, or before...similar to Ouija, I believe...just a diff name. ( Not sure when the toy company began to make them.)

Sad about the little girl, maybe that's the reason for some of the goings on, though they don't sound like a child's spirit.... unless she was what your grandson saw the first time, when he waved.

If you get the granddaughter to visit, you might tell her you didn't realize Ouija boards were around then, and ask her what they did with it....who they tried to contact. ( Your 'haint' might be somehow connected to that, more so than being some previous owner or resident of your house. Some users of the Ouija believe the 'session' must be properly closed at the end, to prevent lingering entities....to release them and send them back to where ever...)

Thanks for the info! I don't think the "little girl" is what my grandson saw. Primarily because he was looking up. Whatever he saw had substantial height to it (at least an average adult's height). Also, I have never had any sense of what is going on being connected with a child...I can't explain what I mean by that, but you probably get my drift.

I agree that messing with ouija boards can leave ill effects to both people and places...especially if you don't know what you're doing. I could have something to do with things.

Possibly, way back when they was messing with the ouija board they opened a door for something evil to come in and it has remained in the house ever since?

I know it's far fetched, but if you believe in the stories of ouija (which I do) then it's quite possible.

Did you ask the lady if there was any unusual phenonema related to the house that she knew of?

it seems that every family that has been there has had someone die there. If i were you i would get out of there fast, but you wont do that, you are so brave.

Okay, this post has nothing to do with the spooky stuff. Just wanted to update anyone who might be following of the major remodeling efforts we've accomplished here lately:

This is a pic of the living room floor right after Springer got it sanded down to barewood. It was a 40-50 year old nightmare.



This is a pic of when Springer got it re-stained and finished.



This is a picture of the kitchen floor after we pulled the putred green 1970's era linoleum floor, a wood floor it had been glued to, and a gold, probably 1950's era, linoleum floor (yes, that's three floors). This was the original floor of the kitchen. It is the subfloor...lol. But, note that it was stained in areas, and not stained in others. We had a floor guy tell us that the way they did it back in the first quarter of the 1900's is they would lay a linoleum-type floor where they wanted it and stain around it. We ruined 14,000 pairs of socks in the 4 months we had to walk around on this crap.



And as of today, this is the marble and granite floor that the guy just laid in the kitchen.



Of course, we still have miles and miles to go. Re-doing the walls, building new kitchen cabinets, etc....as well as hanging 7200 lineal feet of siding, but what else have we got to do? **

Valhall, freaky thing you post, cuz i can really relate to you son and his friends. This had happen to be a while ago:

I heard my mom and sister calling out my name, in distress or sorrow or dispair before. But, when I ran downstairs, it they were either shopping or watching TV, and claimmed to have never said my name, this happen a couple of time.

Another similar incident was when my i heard my mom and dad having a big fight, i heard crying and stuff breaking, and yelling. But when I went downstairs my dad was watching tv, and my mom was cooking, nothing broke, it was so werid.

Oh yea If you wanna try a freaky experiment in your haunted house, if its still haunted anymore. Buy a balloon the one with a smile face, or you could draw one. Make sure its full of air, just put it insome room. I lived in a 1904 house, and when I first moved in i believed it was haunted. And well one day my mom brought home some birthday balloon, and like late at night the balloon would follow my movements, and it felt like someone was staring at you, its really creepy. YOU SHOULD TRY IT...

That's interesting, and very similar to what happened to my son and his friend.

*besides my ultra smart chicken that can fly, and whom disappears during the summer, reappearing just before winter.

*besides sibling rivalries(me and my sister)

*besides urm me waking up next to a raven, an opossum, and found a little white fox when i was doing laundry (well the raven got through an open window, the opossum and fox, dont ask me)

*my pet bird (not the chicken, the cockatiel) seems to be acute with some presences in our house, it's like he can see something,and it would freak him out.

*there was this one when i had a dream, and the next day my sister woke up, and made fun of me about it. It was so werid because she was only joking, but she was dead on center about it. Maybe me and my sister cross path in the astral plane??(well i dont think thats it, but in a dream world)

*I remember when me and my friends were chilling, watching tv, all a sudden everything just black out. like literally for a fraction of a second, everything was pitch black. The only problem about this was it was day, and there were lights. Me and my friends all experienced it, for a moment in me and my friends life we just black out all at once.

*Oh yea remember when i told you about the balloons, well i remember 3 years back, there was a balloon with some air to the point where it would touch the ground, would some how manage to levitate, and just slowly float up to the attic where i was using the computer.

Other than that, I had alot of personal experiences in the current house im living in now.

For examples:

*I would have sleep paralysis, basically I wake up, and I cant move my body at all, it feels like when im trying to get up, something is pulling me back

*Lucid dream, dreams where you acknowledge that fact that its a dream, but can't wake up. (I'll tell you about this another time, if your interested)

*I sometimes see these little ball of lights hovering around me, its nots like the tinkerbell kinda lights though, there like really really small, like a grain of rice (with the glow) and are usually white,pink,or green.

*In some occasions, i would randomly say lines or quotes other people would say a second before they would, usually T.V. and other people talking. Maybe subconsiously our mind is a fraction of a second in the future? I don't know, but i dont mind it.

*I am aware of electral current, like i can her hummering or frequency like noise created by electronics. I'm really good at detecting them.

*I hear a hovering sound, when i lay in bed at night, i also hear fainted sirens, crys(other peoples).

*I can see in the dark(not fully pitch black, but with barely any lights, like probably light produce by a digital clock; anyone can do it really) You simply close your eyes, try closing it with a little bit of force, close it for a minute or two, then open your eyes, first everything would turn black,grey, then you see this everything, not clearly, but you can still see everything.

*When my mind is focused, either spontaneous, or when im focused, i usually see it if i look at the clouds. I can see this little (about the size of a dime) almost transparent purplish blue dot, and around it is like multiple petals (i dont know how to discribe it), all rotating, towards the dotted circle, like a hurricane or drain.

P.S.: lol hey you wanted me to share you some information...so much for some. I know the sleep paralysis, or me hearing thing isnt because of my mental state, or health, cuz last i check me doctors, i was pretty healthy.

Oh and you know your recent picture, on of them has two orbs in it, some people might think it could be an alien called "the orbs", lol i know worst name an alien can get, and 2nd its probably just the sun reflection of some speckles of water.

Wow, Val.....it looks great! ( I've been trying to get up the nerve to put tile in the kitchen/sun porch of our 1904......did you put the cabinets on top of the tile, or trim the tile to fit around the cabinets?)

Yes, we are going to extend the cabinets on around the corner you can see to the right, so there is a gap in the marble for where those cabinets will sit. In addition, we plan to install an island in the center of the kitchen. Though we're trying to do as many things ourselves as we possibly can, we had this professionally done due to the skill required.

You did get 2 orbs in remodeled stain pic 1.

From what I recall old houses with presences react so to speak, when they get remodeled. Essentially you upset or disturb the entities because they are so used to the way the house was. It's like going to a neighboors house and remodeling whithout permission.

Many times presences will flare up during or immeadiately after the process.

well, from my knowledge of ghosts (watching ghost shows and etc...)

i have NEVER heard of a ghost (or other thing) actually copy a person's (your's for example) voice...

either your son and his friend were mistaken or this is ghost or thing COULD copy YOUR voice BUT WHY???

this is crazy...
