I just finished a marathon read (I didn't time it) and have even postponed leaving on vacation 'cause I just couldn't stop. A couple things that I don't think were mentioned that struck me ....

1 - You've made several mentions of Indian territory, Indian side, etc. I don't know if the Shaman that was suggested can help with just learning about these events or if he/she has to send them on .... but you might check. I feel one or more of these could be Native American.

2 - Did any of the people you sent the EVP link to happen to make copies? If so it isn't totally lost to you.

3 - Harry Potter Book .... Goblet of FIRE. Have you finished (or even started) the electrical work on you home? Like someone said it might just be the heat they are looking for ... but when I read the title of the book my first thought was .... ooops, there's the fire again.

And then just for sh**t's and giggles ... on prom pic 3, did you notice how the grain in the wood paneling behind your good looking son seems to match the shape of the back of his head, neck, shoulder and sleeve.

I'll check back in after vacation for any updates. It'll either be peace for you or vicarious excitement for us.

I'd just like to echo what reblazed said about the wiring and the "Goblet of Fire".......maybe that was a warning from your 'spirit(s)' ? Have you had the wiring redone?

If not, there may be some of the original 'knob and tube' wiring left......we had a lot of it still in our 1904, and the carpenter would not even plug in a saw till we had a temp power pole installed for him to use!

Too bad about losing the copy of the voice! Have you done any tearing out in the vestibule area? Is the crawl space large enough for some one to investigate under that area?

( My Grandmother's house was supposedly haunted, and the man who was said to be the 'haint' was also rumored to have buried 'treasure'....When they first moved in, my Grandfather found numerous holes that had been dug on the property, but no one ever claimed to have found anything. But once when I was small, I crawled way under the house looking for the cat's new kittens, but found instead a small area covered with neatly laid bricks?! ( But not where the hearth would have been!) Maybe the 'treasure' was buried under the floor boards, rather than out in the field? )

So, if you get a chance....check under that area!

We have not pursued the Shaman issue. We may in the future, but right now we don't have any intention of trying to "send them on". They aren't being naughty, so we're more curious to learn if there is something they need from us.

I don't know if anybody saved my EVPs. I will see if I can find the list of people I sent the links to and I will u2u them and see what we come up with. (Keep your fingers crossed!)

YES! We have STARTED the rewiring but are far from finished. As we work on a room of the house and start redoing the walls, we always have the room we are working on rewired. So far we have about 1/2 of the bottom floor done, but only about 1/4 of the top done (basically just my daughter's room so far). This costs LOTS of money (for instance, my daughter's room was $550), so we have to crawl through that. BUT, we're working as fast as we can!

I will look at prom pic 3 to see what you are referring to...thanks!

YES! There is definitely "knob and tube" wiring left, but as I stated above we are working to replace that as quickly as we can afford. The crawl space under the "vestibule" area is big enough for people to get under but we have not looked there. There have been electricians and airconditioning people under there and if they got filthy rich they sure hid it well. LOL! BUT, maybe I'll get over my intense fear of spiders and have a looksie.

im not one to start reading long threads as i know it takes sometime to read it all.2hours later and ive finally come to the end.glad i spent my evening reading it.

very interestig read and i will make sure i keep reading to be up to date with anything else that happens.

going way back to the hooks in the cellar,in england many country houses have these hooks,they were used after shooting game,they get hung up to get a bit 'matured' then eaten,could these hooks be for this purpose?

cant wait for you to have a look in the vestuble,scary stuff but it will rest your mind im sure,good luck,you have a nice house there the old photo is a bit like an amytiville type pic(sorry) but it looks spooky.

our house shows up on an old england tithe map about 1700's the origional building was a blacksmiths but built up and turned into a cottage and schoolroom about 1850.
the lewis family lived here in 1910 we have a picture of them standing outside the place with their dog,we recreated this with our family,the pics sit side by side in our kitchen,the strangest thing is,i used to go metal detecting and i found the lewis familys dog tag over the field,metal disk with contact adress,quite strange.

cant say weve had any spooky goings on here apart from when i had a black figure watching me in the bathroom when i was very young,i posted a reply on shadow people thread.
its a nice comfortable place,a lady died here years ago,but thats in the front bedroom.no activity
we have had strange activities in the village hall next door,and in a cottage just accross the way(nan saw a cup and saucer turn upside down)

and the people at the end of the road got so used to their polterguist they named it george.


apart fom that all ok in my part of sleepy england.

I have a follow up that I would like to share with you guys. It is actually a sign that whatever is here may be trying to protect us.

On what I believe was the last weekend of June I got bit on the butt by a spider...I'm serious. It started getting real bad real fast and I was afraid it was a brown recluse so I went to the doctor that following week. After giving up what little modesty I had left he decided it was not a fiddleback bite and put me on a round of tetracycline.

By the end of that week I was having severe pain in my upper left abdomenal/chest area. Fearing the tetracycline was causing it I quit it and had to go back to the doctor the next week for the pain. He told me to stay off the tetracycline and he started me on medicine for an ulcer.

That weekend I rammed a #8 finishing nail 3/4" into the side of my right foot. As soon as I pulled the nail out the puncture wound sealed closed - so there I was with a 3/4" tunnel and no way to get medicine into it. That happened on a Sunday. So the next day I decide - I'm going to take that tetracycline to help this not get infected.

Now the day I went to the doctor the second time and he gave me the prescription for the ulcer medicine I took my tetracycline out of my purse, sat it on the little stand my purse stays on, and put the gut medicine in my purse. So this Monday after the nail wound I go to the little stand and can't find the tetracycline bottle. I tell Springer that it should be right there (this is downstairs). So we BOTH start looking for the tetracycline. We look EVERYWHERE - kitchen cabinets, drawers, medicine cabinets, pantry...lol. It's gone. By Thursday of that week I can no longer put weight on my right foot and there is a red streak forming up my ankle. So I make an emergency visit to my doc...who asks me "when was your last tetnus shot?" Of course - it was like 42 million years ago, so I have to get one. And he puts me on a Z-pack.

The day AFTER I got the tetnus shot and started the Z-pack, Springer came downstairs that morning and my tetracycline bottle is sitting there - with the medicine still in it - approximately 1 foot to the right of the kitchen sink right square in the middle of the kitchen counter.

If I had found the tetracycline I would NOT have gone to the doctor and I assure you I would NOT have gotten a tetnus shot.

I have to say after listening to them again (the EVP's) I distinctly hear the "2500" on the one file, but there seems to be another voice on most of them that I just can't make anything out from. It is a softer younger sounding voice. It is really a shame someone doesn't have the ability to separate the white noise back out of the recordings to see what's left.

My daughter is sitting here in the computer room visiting with me. She is sitting in Springer's chair talking to me and she just saw some one walk from our bedroom to the bathroom. She stated a "dark figure" the size of a man just walked through the hall.

There you have it. We are apparently in an active period.

I am standing watch until at least past Midnight... It's 10:30 now, the activity is way up.

Okay, you get the EVP's back, obviously you are replaying them and it sounds as if your entities are getting excited. I think there is more on these than anyone has picked up yet. Like I said, I think I am hearing another voice on many of them but it is too faint to make out over the white noise, and I hear the tones of it strongest at the end of the last question where a statement is clearly heard in respone to your question.

The first one is startling due to the fluctuation and I think that shows the first feeble attempt at contact. If the recordings are now posted in the order they were asked, I would say that it takes some time to for them to communicate with this method, as the further into it you are the more a response is apparent. Perhaps they need more practice.

I would almost recommend (if your up to it, because you really don't know what you are getting into and it will obviously raise the activity level) to do more of it, as if they may need to "learn" to use the method to communicate. Also, if they are using pieces of the white noise which contains words to respond (is that the theory?) then you may need longer response times to catch answers. The other voice or sound I think I am hearing seems to be towards the end of the clips. Most interesting would be to start again by repeating the same questions with the same white noise in the background to see if anything becomes more clear on the second time around. Maybe playing back the sequence a few times before you start.

Just some thoughts.

Have you tried the use of what I call 'imbued items'? Totems of great personal significance, used to ward off your unliving associates? Because I'm starting to think that casual, friendly appeals aren't working. A rusted iron nail over the doorway, perhaps?

Excellent idea on doing this again. Okay, first off, if you'll remember, here is the link I passed you guys with the EVP recordings. All of the links are now dead, but the evps are above. The base recording used in the evpmaker is gone now, but it was me reading about three paragraphs of a randomly selected page from a randomly selected book. No where in that reading were any of the following words: twenty, twenty-five, twenty-five hundred, or hundred. So that came from the randomization of the reading and during the evp question time itself.

So I would have to do a new base recording to put into the EVPMaker. But here's the thought I had - and it sent shivers down me spine arrgh! Instead of a random reading, what if my base recording is me reading a section of the page that was folded over in the Harry Potter Goblet of Fire book! wait!

This time I would like you guys to tell me what questions you want me to ask, how long you want me to wait between questions, etc. This should be interesting!

WOW! This is most interesting. Your testimony is very authentic, which I am sure most people would agree. This is reinforced by your use of unique descriptions, such as:

I saw something. NOT a person. And it was like when you see something out of the corner of your eye, but this was right in front of me. And to me, it seemed like it looked like a piece of furniture...that wasn't supposed to be there. And it was there...flash...and it was gone.

Major sound! Major something sound. Not a voice, but a VERY LOUD sound! a ERRRRRRR! sound

Also, since it hasn’t been mentioned, just thought I would say that many spirits are unable to communicate directly, so they communicate indirectly by using associations. I’m sure everyone is aware that to share their identity, spirits will make sounds that would have been associated with them when they were living, such as making the sound of a hammer striking an anvil if the person was a blacksmith. Then through investigation, the person would be able to determine who the spirit is of.

However, if the person a spirit is attempting to communicate with is in possession of a picture, the spirit may attempt to communicate their identity by creating noise in the same general location of the house that corresponds to where they were located in the picture. For example, if you had a picture of the living room with a person standing in one particular corner of the room, and you hear sounds emanating from that particular corner, it very well may be that person.

While I don’t believe this is the situation in your case, it’s a little bit of info to tuck into the back of your brain.

Also, have you considered putting your tale to paper and seeking publication. I think it would do quite well. A very unique experience…

In reference to the questions you should ask, I would recommend asking that same ones you previously asked. It would be interesting to see if the responses are the same.

I read quite a bit of your threads and i can attest to some of the contact you are going through.

My parents house was one of the oldest (if not the oldest) houses in the area. It had old wiring and no actual insulation on the second story. This house also had a very old and beautiful stained glass window set on one of the stairwell landings. The way the house was setup is so unique to me that i feel its impossible for me to ever forget the house. From the front door there was a small short entranceway with a set of steps that lead up to the second story. There were two landings which i guess were places so that both the stained glass window and the regular window could be washed. Upstaires there were 3 bedrooms and a closet with access to attic space. Each bedroom though had a mini closet or mini attic space on either the side or beside the next room. Downstairs from the entrance way and to your left there was a door which seperated the entranceway from the living room. The living room was pretty decently sized for a house built in the early 1900's if not 1900. From the living room you had two ways to go, you could go to the left and into the kitchen or you could go to the right and into the masterbedroom through a door. The kitchen was connected to the only bathroom in the house, as was the masterbedroom. If you wanted to go downstairs to the basement you had to go through the kitchen or the master bedroom and go to the back entrance which was a small hallway connected to the bathroom and the kitchen. The basement wasn't even a full basement. It was about as big as half of the house but it had crawlspace access. The basement also had a well in it. When my parents had got it I guess my dad was in his 30's and i wasn't even thought of yet. They renovated most of the ground floor but the upstairs was mostly the original house. the wiring in the house was from the 30's or 40's. I remember that i was always worried about getting fried when try to get out xmas decorations from out of the my bedroom closet/attic. It has wiring still exposed with the porceline knobs as your described sticking out. This house had quite a bit of activity as well during my younger years. Things would disappear and reappear in strange places, feelings of unease in only in one certain room, talking to figures that aren't there, dreams of places located in the house that may of been secretly hidden. Unfortunately i don't know if there ever was a hidden room in the basement as i had thought because the house is no longer there (the house burnt down from the wiring being so old) There definately was some strange occurances with that house. And to this day, If i ever dream of being at my parents house I dream about still living in that one.

Have you ever charted, or marked on a calendar when the activity increases? Maybe the full moon or certain dates ( the spirits birthday or date of death, marriage, etc ) are significant? Might help you narrow down the identity of the spirit(s)??

You might try reading from one of those books that were left in the attic....seems like one of them had something hand written by one of the former owners.

And ask if there is any danger.....something wrong with the house that needs to be fixed. ( wiring, etc. )

Or what the hooks were used for.

The only thing I have made note of - and it was courtesy of keeping a record on this thread!!! - is that in 2003 just after Springer closed off the widow's watch in the attic for the winter, and in 2004 just after Springer closed it off for the winter, we had two of the most unexplainable events happen. We've even speculated that because once the widow's watch is sealed up no light can get in the attic, that maybe some one gets upset.

Wow phew ive just checked back onto ats after a whle....glad to see your still here valhall. And if you can remember what this relates to, oops yea i kinda forgot the temperature was in the hundreds this summer

Ok going back to the scrambled audio, i never caught them the first time round as i hadnt joined the thread at that time.

Now i do have my doubts as to exactly how this would work, but i am one to stick to my belief that absolutely ANYTHING is possible.

So in relation to the reported "2500" statement....well just listen to this.

I didnt edit it in any way except isolated the 2500 sound and a bit before and after. That was when I heard it instantly. It was a sentence not a statement. Im not saying what I heard as it will influence what YOU hear. Someone else please say what they hear, hopefully it will be the same.

P.S i the segment of sound is repeated three times.
