Putting armed Vets in every school may reduce the number of these attacks and minimise the deaths when they do occur but its only papering over the cracks.
Its a short term fix that would be more than likely become a permanent fixture without addressing the root cause.
Not addressing the root cause will only result in it manifesting itself in other harmful ways in society.

Why and how is America producing all these kids/people who want to go into schools and start randomly killing as many people as possible?

Because marxist have taken over the schools and created this situation.

Even more repression and guilt. No thanks.

What we need is mental health counseling and a zero-tolerance policy for bullying.

1000 times this, it is the root cause

Improved security would be helpful too, we need to apply multiple potential solutions.

And yes it always comes down to money, applied correctly it could help. The mental health aspect is ignored, I just read some of Audrey Hall's journal. These deep-rooted issues could have been mitigated with consistent counseling and other methods.

The suspect is a 14-year-old boy, in a school of 1900 students chances are bullying is a part of the problem here

Learning how to handle bully's is the solution, however you need to be bullied in order to learn those skills.

It sounds like they received a phoned in threat earlier in the day.

We have sent 50 Billion to Ukraine in two years.

More like $120 Billion, but your point still stands

The threat said 5 schools would be targeted and Apalachee would be first

A broad threat, but at least a heightened level of alertness would be warranted.

Not necessarily, with today's video and audio, if somebody is paying attention they can turn down the temperature.BUT

Warning signs can't be ignored, where did the phone call come from? why was it seemingly ignored

A 14-year-old student was identified as the shooter who opened fire at Georgia's Apalachee High School, killing four people.

14 years old.

Will be tried as an adult.

Is it just a coincidence that the kids name is Colt Gray and that if you do a Google image search for that name you get a bunch of pictures of military style weapons?

What about drones? 14 year old kids are pros, with drones.

Drones can do a lot of damage, when equipped with ammo or other deadly tools.

Were law enforcement told to "stand down"?

I expect this is just the beginning.

My nephew is named Colt. He's a cop.
Just because you are named colt doesn't mean that you or your parents are dangerous.

Why is alcohol and driving age restricted, but guns not?

Who is responsible for a kid snatching an unlocked car with the keys in it?

Certain tools can be dangerous and kids should definetly not have unfettered access to them. The owners of the tool are responsible to deny access to those who aren't allowed to use that tool. Accidents that happen due to a lack of that save keeping, should partly be blamed on the owners...
most tools are handled that way, you have a responsibility as owner to keep it out of unsave hands.

But hey maybe start with a computer for the office that is in charge of tracing guns in the US. Because apparently they're still using penn and paper. But alas the law sais they're not allowed to use computers. So you'll probably just sacrifice more of your own...

But but fweedom is so American, you'd loose your kids over it.
if america is freedom everyone you loose to gun violence is one freedom less... It's disgraceful to even suggest there is nothing wrong... Pretty shaby for a first world nation, i hope you'll wear it proud till the end...won't be long now...

Many teens all over the world lash out, it's pretty normal at that age nothing to do with it's upbringing. You won't stop pubescents to lash out... That's fantasy world, but give them carrots and they might lash out with carrots give them guns they might lash out with guns... Pretty simple math there...

I hope you wear these tragedies with pride...

We love our guns, but we love our kids more. If kids on kids gun violence would happen regularly, everyone here would be up and in front of the parliament demanding regulations.

Those opposed are basically ok with it happening, a small sacrifice for freedom?
Is that it?

You must trust your government more than you trust yourself.

We don't trust our government, here. The smart ones, among us, protect our families with what ever weapon works.

It's disingenuous to say we care about guns, more than our children.

You must not have children.

So you are just in for the show of politics but still expect them to solve your problems. Or do you only trust one political party, so everytime your party is in charge it becomes magically trustworthy... then you obviously misunderstood the purpose of voting... Good luck with that approach.

Politics is not a given right, it's a tool. heads had to roll in most country for the people to even get a voice via this tool invented to best give them one... If you don't trust your own voting system to represent you as a nation your voice becomes meaningless.

The moment you distrust your government you become the economies puppets... You already start to feel how that might end, don't you ?

I get the impression you think everyone in America is walking around with guns in their hands and guns are given away in cracker jack boxes..

We really don't know much right now about how he got it.
