Technically she can't do that either, such regulations and laws would be unconstitutional. Unconstitutional stuff gets done all the time though. It would be up to the SCOTUS to overturn them.

Which is why we don't wanna let someone who wants to pack the SCOTUS with progressive activists in the WH.

Parkland as in the school shooting in Florida. Not sure how the Minnesota National Guard was going to help with that. Not to mention it occurred when he was a Congressman, so he had no authority to dispatch the National Guard anyway.

They can. It's just a much higher bar to do it and progressives know they can't get that much support for their ideas, so they try to illegally enact their agenda through executive fiat and (usually) get slapped down by the courts.

By a convention of states is how an amendment is made.

As to not be democratic....by the way but a reflection of representation.

But what you want to hear is something along the lines of democracies focus on majority rule.

Whereas a constitutional republic emphasises the rule of law and the protection of individual rights.

The problem is that democratic principles are a significant part of your nations governmental structure.

Hence America can indeed be considered to be a democratic nation.

Before Parkland was very pro-2A to the point that the NRA donated to his campaign. After Parkland he realized something needed to change and stopped taking the NRA's money.

So he sold out. Parkland was the fault of Democrats. They kept that wacko's record clean so he could pass a background check. You can make background checks as "universal" as you want but they're meaningless if nothing is in the system to flag the person, which is what progressive pro-criminal policies do.

Good place to remind everyone that 40% of Democrats in 2018 supported an outright repeal of the 2A. Not rewriting it, not an update, outright repeal.

That's 6 years ago. And that's not counting the ones who were smart enough not to tell a pollster that they support that.

So yeah, it's not a "right-wing conspiracy theory" that they don't want you to have the right to own a gun. It's not just a fringe position in the Democrat party.
