They are not the same thing. The democratic voting process you are talking about works within the Constitutional Republic ... it's a subset. To dismiss that we are a Constitutional Republic pretty much tears the country apart. Destroys the fabric that holds it together.

In a 'constitutional republic' people are elected and THEY vote on everything.

we have Judicial, Executive, Congress ... and each separated power is EQUAL.
You don't get that in a 'democracy'

Meh. Probably has much more to do with Shapiro being popular in 1 state, and Waltz being popular in all 50.

Waltz being on the ticket opens up all 50 states to the House and Senate races. He can help literally everywhere, since he is relatable, down to earth, plainly spoken... and then there's his record.

24 years in the military (made it up to E9 Sgt Major), a high school teacher, 13 years in Congress, 6 years as a very successful and liked governor. Both his parents were police officers.

He'll help in his Midwest, but he may also help as far as Florida or Alaska.

She may amend your second amendment but i dont think she will remove the right to bear arms.

She can't outright take away the 2nd Amendment.
But she can make it so difficult to own a gun that regular people can't exercise it.
Legislate the rights away.

His Wikipedia page says he "deployed to Europe" for a while, which could mean Turkey maybe? I'm not too familiar with where the army goes and what they consider a deployment. I was Air Force. Most of our deployments are like resorts compared to what ya'll did. although in the Air Force it really depends on your job. We did have people doing really nasty work, like convoy duty. A girl in my unit was killed doing convoys. I never had to do it.

Like I said, I won't even question his service and I recommend Trump, Vance and his campaign don't go there either. Pretty much anyone who served has someone who served with them and didn't like them and will talk # about them. Whether it's justified or not would be hard to pin down and just a can of worms. I don't question the quality of anyone's service unless they did something really messed up, like a Bergdahl thing, deserting and getting guys killed looking for you.
