Yea, he should have waited for Harris to tell him how it was going to be, and just agreed to her wishes.

"C'mon, Trump agreed to these dates, the networks, the moderators and the rules were hammered out, because Trump didn't like the way the Commission on Presidential Debates' moderators' fact-checked him and told him to "shut-up" when he was yelling and interrupting Biden last time.

Nothing changed except, Kamala Harris is not Joe Biden. Now , all of sudden, Trump needs a leg up, a handicap advatage. He needs to own the stage, a personally selected audience and moderators, he needs to write the rules, before he can debate a Kamala Harris.

One thing lost in all this noise and Trump suddenly wanting to change the ABC debate, his absolute fury at the ABC reporter who quoted his own words to him when she asked her question. He could not handle it, got angry and fumbled badly.

He certainly will not allow something like that to happen again. Which, I mean he said those things, not like anything was made up, but it's in contrast to the kid glove Fox news questions.

Trump went to FOX news and "bought" a time slot and rented a room. He decided who the moderators would be, whether he uses the time to debate Harris, on his dime, under his terms, or he used the time for a Town Hall.

So Harris is now the frightened one? Or is she just looking for more favorable terms? (if she did that, she would be just like Trump.) This is beyond comical at this point. Kamala Harris didn't chicken out of a debate because she wasn't involved in the agreement. Trump chickened out because now he had to debate a prosecutor who would wipe the floor with him. So he ran to FOX news, bought a time slot, rented a room, hired the moderators of his choice, set the rules of engagement, should Harris fall for his scheme. Otherwise, he gets a scripted Town Hall.

True to his word; now that Harris is the official nominee Trump has challenged her to a debate.

Harris appears to be unwilling to negotiate her own debates and instead wants to hide behind the now failed Biden campaign agreements. It has now become a partner for the Harris campaign to hide behind Joe Biden; trying to capitalize on his accomplishments and distancing herself from his problematic policies.

The media can paint a picture of Harris that is beneficial to her campaign built out of Joe Biden’s legacy; but if she wins the presidency she will need to actively lead the country on her own; Joe Biden’s past wont be there to help her. Does she have what it takes to stand up for herself, be her own person? If she can't negotiate a debt with a bafoon like Donald Trump what hope will there be for her to negotiate with countries like China, Russia and Iran.

Trump backed out of an agreed upon scheduled debate on ABC, where he would have debated Kamala Harris.

this would be an epic play if She didn't show up on September 4th, but Trump DID show up on the 10th. I think that would seal the deal for how inept she really is. Could be the plan all along.
