Biden backed out of a debate with Trump. If that's untrue, I will need explanation as to why it isn't. Trump challenged Harris to a debate September 4th. It seems as if Harris is afraid, due to the location not being a total left wing outlet.
But as you have stated, since Harris wasn't involved with the agreement Trump had with Joe Biden, she also doesn't get to keep his agreement. But if she did, then wouldn't she also have to accept Joe's performance in the first debate and go into the next one as a loser? See, if she actually WAS Joe Biden, then all this would be as you say, but since she is not, it isn't.

If you agreed to buy a corvette, but when you showed up at the dealership, you were given a Yugo, I'd wager you would not do the deal. At least not on the same terms. But this is common sense, so I totally get the confusion on your part.
