I think most people knew deep down. But this was a true public display that nobody (sensible) could deny.

As to why the 180 was so quick, I think there is no question there is no shot of winning if they keep their current course. They were arrogant in thinking they could run on “he’s not Trump”.

I don’t think anything will come of it, but I think that was the most dangerous statement of the night.

It brings into question the Logan Act, and is reminiscent of the Iran Hostage negotiation and Reagan which many believe had a secret deal ahead of time.

That said, I think most just chalk it up as hyperbole.

I certainly hope your elections can be tagged with Sanity, because what is transpiring here is just a #ing nightmare. While I never liked Biden, this whole debacle shows the world how absolutely toasted our current government is and the rest of this year is going to be in total damage control. I can't stand Trump, I'm not a Dem, certainly not a socialist commie, and the whole World has just woken up to the horrific prospect of the leader of the free World possibly being an incontinent senile puppet.

I don't think Biden is evil or anything.

Dementia is a terrible thing. My 98 year old mum has it bad and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

To me, it was a more powerful statement than a lot of the toxicity we’ve seen in modern society. It was playful, but also proved a point.

I used to like when politicians would say what they were going to do for the people they represent. Now they focus on slamming their opponents. They did deceive voters back then, they should have stated they were going to try to do things instead of saying they were, because often they cannot fix an issue because fixing it causes problems or hurts other groups of people. Campaign promises are just idle promises, it does not mean it will happen. Congressmen often promise they are going to do something when in fact they know introducing a bill to do it will fail. Then they blame it's failure on the opposite party most times. I feel they just make it appear they are trying to do things but it is just a political ploy, a hollywood production.

Well, just watched a few minutes of Biden live at some rally somewhere today, completely different personality compared to last night and he sort of looks different too, particularly when 'this one' smiles.
He keeeps coughing too.... pretty sure its a throat clearing and not because he's poorly as his team have tried to claim.

He had the same "fast talking" and "wide eyes" as he did during the SOTU speech. The difference this time, is that joe has simply deteriorated to the point where even the drugs aren't helping much. I normally blast the democrats for political reasons, fun and entertainment, but, no partisan intent here, I just think joe is too far gone to be President. I'm ok with it on the outside, because it hurts the democrats so, but inside, I really feel sorry for the guy.
