Ukraine gets mostly military equipment, not cash.

A lot of the money is used to spend on buying weapons with a chunk being bought from America with American money, which Ukraine will have to eventually pay back..

money that Ukraine can use to buy new weapons, mostly from the United States but also elsewhere. The problem is that these need to be manufactured, so there is a long delay.

Hmm?

The Ukrainian government budgeted nearly $1.4 billion in 2024 to buy and develop weapons at home — 20 times more than before Russia’s full-scale invasion.

And in another major shift, a huge portion of weapons are now being bought from privately owned factories. They are sprouting up across the country and rapidly taking over an industry that had been dominated by state-owned companies.

Hmm

Ukraine's growing arms sector thwarted by cash shortages and attacks
By Max Hunder
April 19, 20248:19 AM EDT

Owners say they have pumped in their own cash to survive and moved locations at their own expense to stay ahead of Russian intelligence. They are now urging the government to cut what they describe as excessive red tape around its arms purchases.

Several also want to be allowed to export, arguing that the government is unable to buy all of their output.
According to Ukraine's strategic industries minister Oleksandr Kamyshin, the potential annual output of the military-industrial complex now stands at $18-20 billion.
Ukraine's cash-strapped government can only fund about a third of that, the minister told Reuters in an interview. That compares with $120 billion of military aid received from allies throughout the war, most of it in equipment rather than cash.

Billions? Now there are cash strapped weapons makers in the Ukraine that have doubled in the last few years that want to sell their weapons because the government can’t buy enough?

Ukraine weapons makers want to export while the Ukraine is loosing the war?

added while…

“"We are seeing Russia batter away at the front line, employing a five-to-one advantage in artillery, ammunition, and a surplus of people reinforced by the use of newish weapons."”

I'm curious pay back with what exactly?

Natural resources that won't benefit Americans one bit? The same American tax payers who are currently paying for the universal Healthcare of most Ukraines?

Ukranians who are dying at a rate of 8 to 1 in a war the American establishment frog-marchd them into...

Maybe do a little history research and see how much Britain had to pay back to America after World War 2? We finally settled our 'account' in 2006.

Why do you think Putin is trying to steal land from Ukraine? It's not because of the nice colour of the dirt.....

www.worldatlas.com...

Ukraine was estimated to hold over 1.1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas reserves in 2004, ranking it 26th among the countries with proven gas reserves before Crimea was annexed. It is also estimated to hold over 135 million tons of oil and 3.7 billion tons of shale oil reserves. The country also has reserves of gas condensate of about 80,000 tons. The major field is the Dnieper-Donetsk which was discovered in the 1950s.

Ukraine holds the largest titanium reserve in Europe. There are 15 known deposits in different parts of the country, of which four are being explored. These deposits are situated in Kharkiv, Kiev, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The country also has the largest uranium deposit in Europe and accounts for 1.8% of the world’s uranium deposit.

Please show a country that doesn't have a single corrupt official? I'll be waiting a very long time for proof of that, all the while Russia tops the charts for the most corrupt country over and over....

Only the perpetrators were caught and the money seized. So Zelensky is doing everything he can to combat corruption.

I said it before but I'll repeat; there's no evidence that the money was coming from the American aid. That doesn't justify an attempt to steal or embezzle it but Ukraine is not the only post-Soviet republic that has to cope with the corruption problem.

I don’t like Putin but I don’t like Corruption. So a country that Biden might have been using his office to profit from we are now dumping billions into?

So..

We are dumping money in a little country arguably as corrupt as Russia to piss off the larger corrupt country Russia when we could have developed a stronger working relationship with. Now 100,000s are dead in the Ukraine so one corrupt country can fight another corrupt country while we dump billions once again fueling the industrial military complex while corruption and lining of pockets is prevalent? While the US is in debt and falling behind on defense production and maintaining a fighting force equal with China.

What are we winning again? How is support for the Ukraine strengthening the US defensive posture?

China's ship-making capabilities are outpacing the U.S., report says

As things stand now, the size of the American Navy fleet is 292 ships. China's naval fleet totals 370 vessels and is expected to grow to about 435 warships by 2030.

Then why did Zelensky move money into off shore accounts and was magically blessed as being legitimate. Wonder what Zelensky‘s net worth is?

Where have Russia and the Ukraine historically ended up in the most corrupt countries list? How is support for the Ukraine strengthened the US defensive posture?

Maybe because the USSR was chock full of corruption and after it's fall the corupt oligarchs took over and are still lingering in some of these countries. Ask our Polish friend Twisted Puppy how long it took Poland to clean up after the USSR collapse.

The USA Made a Lot of Money From WW2: Britain Only Settled Debts from WWII in 2006.
A statement released by the Treasury disclosed that by the 29th of December 2006, the United Kingdom would have settled all WWII debts owed to both the United States of America and Canada.

Settlement of these decades-old debts was meant to be achieved after 50 installments. After some delay, with payments kicking off in 1950, the 50th installment was paid on the last Friday of 2006.

And what working relationship would you want to have with Russia? It has enough of American supremacy. Together with China it works to kick you off your imperial throne. After Ukraine the time will come for Taiwan. The US will become a laughing stock. Definitely neither a credible ally nor the partner powerful enough to trade with. That fall will be measured in dollars that you will be using to wipe your butt with.

Did you start buying yuans?

Billions to a country defending itself from invasion.

.

How does cash stop Putin. Care to detail how the cash flooding into the Ukraine is being turned into weapons, from who? What is that cash being spent on?

Most of the aid is on the form of direct military supplies. The money sent used to keep Ukraine as a functioning country as its economy has been massively damaged by Putin's invasion.
