You have no concept of Putin"s, Russia's strategy there. Putin has no interest in controlling the whole of Ukraine, much less storming the whole of Eastern Europe. That's BS propaganda fed to you through our lying propagandist government controlled media that unsuspecting nimrods soak up like a sponge.

Do you really think Russia lacks the capacity to sink supplies crossing the Atlantic?

Russia operates a total of 17 nuclear-powered attack submarines (SSNs). Not to mention other means to disrupt supply all across Western Europe. Ukraine doesn't stand a chance in this.

Never heard of M.A.D?

It's obvious by now that our government hasn't.

And NATO has 2 rubber dingys and a canoe?

If Russia attacked shipping NATO would get directly involved and the war would be over in weeks.

Putin knows this which is why all the Nuclear bluster.

You find it amusing.

As in:

"They are killing Ukrainians just fine, I imagine."

Nice.

Well hell's bells. did I not state a true statement there?

Fun and games on a sunny Friday afternoon. What could be better? Better than a cool refreshing dip in the local mudhole.

It's a humanitarian tragedy that could have been avoided if the US and NATO were not so hell bent on dominating and plundering the entire world.

If only Yushchenko died when Russia poisoned him Ukraine wouldn’t be in this mess😔

And Russia was forced to invade because Ukraine kept trying to show self determination.

NATO then hijacked Putin’s mind and made him invade Ukraine.

Big sad.

If only that was all you said.

How's farming around all of those mines and bomb craters going? Not to mention the improvement in housing quality there. Free air conditioning and all!

It's sad you don't recognize sarcasm when you see it.

Here is a sad truth for you to contemplate. This is a sad commentary for our species but is true none the less.

Humanity is the most voracious, most vicious killing machine on this planet outpacing any other creature alive throughout history.

The point was you found Russia bombing ukrainian civilians funny. Thanks for confirming.

Your school boy analysis on the human condition is much less interesting.

From the link..

reflecting Moscow's growing confidence that its forces have the upper hand in the war.

The reality is that Russia does indeed possess the upper hand.
This would be a good starting point for negotiations.
This deal sucks yet considering the alternative, Ukraine losing the whole country, it’s a workable start to something peaceful.
Each day that war rages, the less leverage Ukraine has.
They don’t have unlimited meat bags to throw in the pile.
Time is not on their side.
They can’t win a war of attrition versus Russia.
Ask Nazi Germany how that ends.

We are in year 3 of a war in which Russia held every card at the start and is still no where near anything that could be described as a victory. This conflict has been a disaster for Russia on every level

My history may be a bit hazy but I seem to recall the NAZIs were the ones doing the invading in ww2. Who is that this time round?

Your history is correct.
Don’t forget the part where the Nazis got utterly demolished and Russia ended up in Berlin.
Just replace Nazi with Ukrainian and Berlin with Kiev.
The Russians aren’t even close to “all in”.
Russia has a stack of chips too high to bluff them.

Do you think Ukraine has the men to outlast a war of attrition with Russia?

That shows how little you understand the war of attrition is about money not people. Russia is already to the point their economy is done. Latest bank runs as people try to drop the ruble.

Even countries like Belarus has suspended trading on the ruble so they won't get stuck with them when the ruble collapses. They had to shut down the Russian stock exchange they had to suspend online banking to prevent people from taking all their money out of banks.

And right now the banks are hemorrhaging money trying to keep the ruble afloat. At one point banks were offering 200 rubles to the dollar sadly the ruble has become cheaper then toilet paper.

Words on a piece of paper and promises are meant to be broken.

Why?

Even more bizarre from a nation that revere's its Constitution.

But then again, not surprising from all those who allege to cherish Freedom and Liberty yet openly support a de facto dictator who is diametrically opposed to those very self same values.

Some still do but they are in the minority now. Our fearless leaders have seen to it. It's nothing more than another scrap of parchment now, ripped to shreds and tossed to the wind, as Flyingclaydisk recently proclaimed.

But didn't you say words on a piece of paper are meant to be broken?
That's all your Constitution is....words on a piece of paper.

And the values that those passionate supporters of your Constitution seem to mean so little to those who pander to a de facto dictator who is diametrically opposed to those self same values expressed in it and your Bill of Rights.
Or is that they believe such values should only apply to Americans and # everyone else?

They expect Ukraine to bow down to a dictator who seeks to deny them their Rights and Freedoms.
Who seeks to impose his rule over them against their wishes.

And they are comfortable with breaking a promise the US made on a piece of paper to defend Ukraine's independence.

Ukraine would still be Ukraine today if unrestrained capitalist greed and the desire for US global hegemony hadn't instigated that conflict in the first place.
We are no longer a democratic republic. We are now a banana republic ruled by oligarchs.

No it wouldn't....Putin wants it and he thinks Ukraine has no say in the matter.
Greater Russia thanks to Putin The Great.

Unfortunately for him Ukrainians see it differently.

So what about words on pieces of paper and promises being meant to be broken?
