What we should ask everyone here is to post several sources and not choose just one that may label us as biased or sensationalizing a thread. .
The police are the unbiased professionals who were in charge of crowd control and who have training in determining crowd size. There is no other source that is credible. The two listed by the OP in this thread are completely biased and agenda driven. The police have no such agenda or bias, no matter what the OP falsely claims otherwise.
100,000. The crowd was dispersed within three hours.
A large crowd for sure. But nothing close to half a million as falsely claimed.
Lev didn't claim it, he chose a news source claiming those numbers, and upon further searching many many other news sources are also claiming half a million. So without a GIS data analysis nobody really knows the real number.
We know what is going on.
They're desperate to argue there is no support for the Palestinians when the world is rapidly turning again Israel just as another Israeli Academic has said in my new thread
www.abovetopsecret.com...
And the reason is easy to guess.... The slaughtering of thousands of innocent civilians.
Many protest groups are calling it genocide. They report 99% of the killed in Gaza are civilians. I don't know what else one would label it?

I have had an awful lot of experience of dealing with our Police.
Have you?
My opinion is based on my own direct experience, not from googling Marxist/Socialist websites
At events in streets or a park rather than an enclosed venue, crowd counting is more difficult and less precise.

No, what I said is the well known truth.

Maybe dont listen to the shrill hyperbole of protest groups?
One boy, his face covered in blood, cried as workers dug him out of the dirt and wreckage. Others rushed wounded men and women, covered in dust, away on stretchers or wrapped in blankets. At a nearby hospital, doctors tried to stanch the flow of blood from the head of a child laid out on the floor.
At least 15 people were killed, Gaza’s Civil Defense spokesperson said, and residents said dozens more were believed buried. The strike took place in the southern zone where Israel has told residents of the north to flee, but which has also faced repeated bombardment.
Blinken’s visit will unfold as Arab countries, including those allied with the U.S. and at peace with Israel, have expressed mounting unease with the war. Jordan recalled its ambassador from Israel and told Israel’s envoy to remain out of the country until there’s a halt to the war and the “humanitarian catastrophe.”

Seriously? Why don't you give 'em a call and find out. Come on ....
They are trained in crowd control to know how to count crowds.
If a crowd stretches from point A to point B it's so big ... from point A to point C it's so big ... etc
They are professionals and aren't going to confuse 100,000 with 500,000.
They are unbiased and have NO REASON to underestimate crowd size.

We know you’re a socialist which is absolutely your right. When you’re posting anything from that garbage paper, or any of your other biased socialist “sources”, it kills whatever credibility you have left. You’re welcome!

Even if I was a socialist your argument is flawed. There are many sources that show the number of protestors were not 100,000.
Being a socialist paper or right wing is besides the point.
At events in streets or a park rather than an enclosed venue, crowd counting is more difficult and less precise. For many events, especially political rallies or protests, the number of people in a crowd carries political significance and count results are controversial. For example, the global protests against the Iraq war had many protests with widely differing counts offered by organizers on one side and the police on the other side.
Half a million pro-Palestine supporters poured onto the streets of central London

I'm not.
Desperation is relying on a handful of cherry picked individuals and Marxist/Socialist websites to reinforce your anti Israel views.

Did I say "all Celtic Fans are associated with the IRA"?
No, I didn't.
Think you will find an awful lot of them supported the IRA. But I guess you don't know much about football.
You insinuated they are.
But they did have a lot of flags and singing in support of Palestine.
Look at my other thread.
A Jewish Academic says it as it is. The world is turning against Israel. Many Jews have spoken out and took part in the London demonstrations.
Seriously, you are displaying your arrogance in spades here now if you are going to try and lecture Carpy on Celtic, you don't even live here,. you probably couoldnt explain the offside rule and I am absolutely sure you know sod all about Celtic and Rangers football clubs and their fans.

No wonder they always add the word 'estimate'.
And theirs is the most accurate because it's a scientific method they use and they have the experience and they actually worked the crowd. If they say 100,000, then it's 100,000 and not 500,000.
The biggest crowd I was in was one million. It was the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade about 20 years ago. I was in the crowd and had NO IDEA how many people were there. As part of the crowd, there was no way of knowing. I only know because of the official number given by NYPD who did crowd control and counted the crowd. They based it on how deep the crowd was and how far it stretched, and by their EXPERIENCE in the matter.
There is ZERO credibility with a muslim in India giving his opinion that it was 500,000. There is ZERO credibility with a biased and agenda driven socialist outlet pulling the number 500,000 out of their butt end. Same with the biased agenda driven socialist protestor who tried to claim 300,000. These people have agenda and have ZERO training with crowd control and in counting the crowds in the UK city.
