We seem to have contradicting information. There is only one truth about the past, which is it? It's a fact that what happened, happened and that we are where we are.

When you can't live with someone who likes to believe there was a man building a boat once maybe the Bible is not the problem but your relationship is.

Someone once said; let the past rest.

Sorry, can't follow your post at all. I have no idea what you were trying to say. This is more than just a story about a man building a boat. The story makes lots of claims and none of them are true. THAT is what it is about. It's a fictional story that, even though it's been proven to be false, is still being taught by some people that it's actually true. And that's wrong.

I understand you want to say you do not consider it a part of the history of your ancestors.

I want to address the Panda in the room

When we said earlier, not every unique bear would be on the Ark but just a "kind" that would represent them all a "Ursidae" type bear and a "Procyonidae" would cover all these.

See how easy this is?

But wouldn't you then need evolution to get the unique bears alive today?

A meteor killed everything on the planet so we actually aren't here.

If that happened over 5k years ago, neither was Noah and his boat.

Hun ... that's over MILLIONS of years .. not 4,000.

And heck, for the 'kinds' argument it was given earlier that all that was needed for felines were two house cats instead of the 37 species of felines, and their offspring would magically become tigers and lions. There would need to have been lions 2,000 years ago to eat christians in Rome so that means those two house cats offspring would have to have become lions in less then 2,000 years. IT DOESN"T WORK THAT WAY.

Yes. And that would take millions of years by his own chart. Not 4,000.

Someone earlier said something like all that Noah needed was two house cats and the rest of the feline family would then come from them later on. We know lions were around 2,000 years later eating Christians in Rome. That gives us 2,000 years to go from a house cat to a lion. Pfffft. Ridiculous. It takes millions of years for species to develop like that.

Not really, genetics can hide away in the DNA until they come out when it comes to colors, for example.
Eye color on humans, ever see an East Indian with bright green eyes, when their grandparents and parents and their entire family have dark brown eyes. It's because some Englishman inserted his DNA into the mix back in the 1700's

The flood was a miraculous event, God could have easily encoded the DNA for all kinds onto the two animals that represented that family, horses for example.......or bears.

Problem solved, easy for God to do.

You just need more faith........
Luke 17:5

5 Now the apostles said to the Lord: “Give us more faith.”.

We know lions were around 2,000 years later eating Christians in Rome.

Lions were around in the Epic of Gilgamesh. 18th-13th century BCE.

The first surviving version of this combined epic, known as the "Old Babylonian" version, dates back to the 18th century BC and is titled after its incipit, Shūtur eli sharrī ("Surpassing All Other Kings"). Only a few tablets of it have survived. The later Standard Babylonian version compiled by Sîn-lēqi-unninni dates from the 13th to the 10th centuries BC and bears the incipit Sha naqba īmuru[note 1] ("He who Saw the Abyss", lit. '"He who Sees the Unknown"'). Approximately two-thirds of this longer, twelve-tablet version have been recovered. Some of the best copies were discovered in the library ruins of the 7th-century BC Assyrian king Ashurbanipal.

So your explanation for anything that is impossible is 'easy for God to do', right? You won't acknowledge that what you are claiming is scientifically impossible? God performed tens of millions of miracles to pull of Noahs Ark, destroying everything then miraculously putting it all back together without a trace of destruction to prove it ever happened.

Yeah .... no. Just because someone believes in God doesn't mean they have to turn their brains off. The 'kinds' thing doesn't work. Genetics don't work the way.

Here's another good one.

Egypt, India and China all had vibrant civilizations that grew and flourished before, during, and after the Noahs Ark Flood time period ... UNINTERRUPTED. Explain how all these people were killed off yet at the same time survived and thrived if Noahs Flood really happened. Oh .. and they all spoke and wrote different languages so there goes the 'everyone spoke the same language before the Tower of Babel' nonsense. But that's a discussion for another thread.

Oldest Civilizations in the World - Unbroken Civilization Through Noahs Ark Time Period - Not Wiped Out

Christian site - Christogenea - Noahs Flood Was Not World Wide

If the whole earth was covered by six miles of water, then all nations must have been completely exterminated. However Babylonian, Egyptian and Chinese history runs right through this period without a break. The Bible gives the date of the flood as commencing in 2345 B.C. and ending in 2344 B.C.. In lower Sumer, later called Chaldea, which occupied the same Plains of Shinar to which Noah’s family journeyed after the flood, the city of Ur of the Chaldees was the leading city from about 2400 B.C. until about 2285 B.C.. Its history is not broken by any flood in this period.

Farther to the north, Babylon was rising to power from about 2400 B.C. on and reached a great height of civilization under the famous King Hammurabi, who lived at the same time as the Hebrew patriarch Abraham, about 2250 B.C.. There is no break in this history due to a flood. In Egypt, the eleventh dynasty began to reign about 2375 B.C. over a great and powerful nation. The eleventh dynasty ruled to about 2212 B.C., and was followed by the twelfth dynasty, which ruled to about 2000 B.C.. There was no break in the eleventh dynasty at the time of Noah’s flood, 2345 B.C.. The nation continued to be large and powerful throughout this period.

Accurate history of China begins nearly 3000 B.C. The Shu King historic record of China, shows that King Yao came to the throne in 2356 B.C., 11 years before the start of Noah’s flood, and ruled China for many years after the flood. During the reign of Yao, the Shu King reports that the Hwang Ho river, which drains the mountains and a great basin in Sinkiang province, had excessive floods for three generations. Here again, there was no break in history. The Chinese nation was not wiped out. Its own records show it continued in existence right through the period of Noah’s flood.

Yes, I know. Some here are claiming that only two house cats were needed on the ark to create all the 37 species of felines that are out there. They claimed that the house cats turned into lions. I said that in the 2000 years from the supposed Noahs Ark to the time of the Christians being eaten by lions is only 2,000 years and cats can't turn into lions in 2,000 years.

If by "it" you mean the asteroid then I think you are agreeing with the OP.

OP isn't saying some guy didn't build a boat, in good prepper style, for his family and some livestock to survive a local flood, he's saying the world wide flood didn't happen.

The irony, seeing Vader is on the dark side.

Seriously though, if anything and everything is easy for God to do, why go through the whole flood and ark thing when he could have just had whoever he wanted to drop dead do so on the spot.

The whole, purified by water shtick is so pagan.
