You have the same condescending attitude the doctor's had with my mom in the 60's. My brother has autism.

All the doctors would tell her just isn't qualified to judge his condition and he needed physical discipline.

Researchers and doctors can make mistakes, have bias to a view, and just be plain old sociopaths.
Fifty years ago, most good doctors considered homosexuals to be mentally ill.

You don't need a Phd to know children are too young to understand the consequences of a decision like this.

I think most people with a brain know that the brain is extremely fragile in the early years as the brain and body are still growing and evolving. Smoking Pot at 12 would have huge negative effects that could easily be lifelong compared to someone at 20 that did the same thing. Even diet has profound effects on kids, so why would anyone think that messing with the normal puberty cycle would not have some serious consequences?

Of COURSE doctors make mistakes. Last time I was in the hospital, a nurse was in a hurry and wildly misheard a medication name I'd said, and instead of getting me my antidepressants, they brought me a #ing allergy pill. I DON'T HAVE ANY ALLERGIES!
That one misheard word made it all the way down the chain, through 2 nurses, and then I had to correct the doctor, who by then was already having the pill brought to me.
Just like TPS reports. Except I'd filled mine out.
Doctors usually aren't paying attention to or examining the actual patient. They're just reading a chart that a nurse may or may not have filled out correctly, and might include some bad assumptions from the patient.

It's basically like "They're obviously transgender! Their chart says so and I checked their pulse and their lungs!"
These poor lost doctors don't even know where they are half the time, let alone if a patient is in the room.
As a psych student, personally, my diagnosis is "stress induced Dissociative Fugue".
Get these doctors on meds ASAP!

sadly people are taken in by ideological stances on this not common sense or compassion, in some its the same misplaced idealism similar types felt supporting pedo groups that piggy backed the gay liberation front, groups looking to sexually liberate kids from evil oppressive parents in the 70s and 80s.. we see the same narrative that only evil/abusive parents would prevent the sexual liberation of kids.

it took most nearly 2 decades for liberalism to recognise that the sexual liberation of kids and the removal of consent was for the explicit benefit of pedos not the sexual liberation pof kids but the normalisation of abuse.. then the topic suddenly died a death.. but we still have its supporters in parliament/running ngos, advising police, social services today..

we see the same issues with the historic abuse commision recognising that many people will fanatically defend their ideology even when they know its harming others.. the harm especially to kids is far less important than ideology.. its how the uk has gone from the grooming in care homes all the way across the country to grooming in gangs in 50+ towns and cities across the country.

and it'll be repeated over and over as ideology it seems will always trump abusing kids..

It seems it actually works the other way around.

It also seems that today's generation has learned from the past and only the handfuls that didn't die yet are using antiquated rhetorics to justify sexuall repression.

The 20 till 25 years old suicide peak is getting higher every decade, and all we do is patching it up, instead of curing the disease. So long we aren't willing to stop all the wrongs we do to our most vulnerable, we should embrace all methods to patch up the wounds.

The problem lays much deeper, embedded in societies way it molds the young to their liking.

It's sick, but it's not new. It's the MO most have been raised by for generations.

We only ever notice if it's an atrocity done to others. I guess it's a form of Stockholm syndrom between kids and parents.

It's an interesting concept, this Stockholm Syndrome, or trauma bonding between parent and child. I think if that existed within the relationship that toxicity may too play a large part in the mental and emotional disorders the child experiences, in addition to the societal pushback they also have to deal with and if the parent is not supportive, then the child is facing it alone.

Yes mental violence has become a main problem as it's still accepted as education method while physical violence is mostly shunned and not used in the upbringing of kids.

Lying, déception, emotional blackmail, imprisonment, restricting access to social interaction, and then we have the other side where they hurt them totally legal.

In reality, there are two sides to this coin. The child might have been hounding the parents for ear piercings and they finally gave in, perhaps for a special occasion present. The two ear lobes at once would be the same scenario as pulling the bandaid off in one quick motion as opposed to shorter bursts of pain over a longer time.

Ever been hounded by a child incessantly? Torture and abuse right there.

no way has child abuse declined, its expanded with the internet, now they pedos cant go to countries to pay for kids they are trafficked, the eu has lost track of 18,000 migrant children most of whom will now be trafficked for sex some for their organs, the full scale of that trade amounts to some 5.5 million kids trafficked for sex/organ harvesting per year

1 in 20 british school kids have been sexually abused this is a generational issue and anyone who has worked with survivors would be able to tell you that as survivors go they can be generalised into 4 pots those who oppose abuse, those who go on to abuse and those who bury it all or become abuse gatekeepers.. its impossible to tell who will fit where.

this is a key issue for trans and is a partial expanier why so many sex offenders are trans or agp's and that won't change while the abused are funneled down the trans pathway.. indeed it also explains why many trans are at higher risk to abuse as the funnel ends up in prostitution, addiction and early death..
